Good Morning! It feels like winter out there at 57 degrees....BRRRRR!!!!

Yesterday was very good. Very productive. It's good to feel good. I bet I scalded & peeled a bushel of peaches & made filling out of it and in btw made 24 pies, and still had time at the end to go take a dip in the pool with Blaise. I took 12 pies down to the stand in the morning, and Lew said....well.....make 12 pies for tomorrow too....not sure if we'll sell these 12. I thought, yea...right. Right on que at 2:30 he's calling me & telling me they sold out of those 12 and do I have any ready to bring down. Well I spent the morning making pie filling and the pies were still hot. I took 3 down around 3:30. Changed his tune. Now 15-20 for Saturday. I KNEW IT!!!! I let him think it was his idea though. LOL! While there delivering the pies, a lady was just going to her car with her veggies, I told her....fresh warm peach pies....she came back in and bought a pie AND a homemade angel food cake (another lady makes those).

Today will be more of the same. Today is the first day of corn at the stand, so they'll be busier than they have been. I have to finish getting Blaise's stuff packed for church camp. He leaves tomorrow. I'm going to miss our morning snuggles.

    Have a good one all!

Good Morning, cool here today too. Yesterday went to the Dr. NE doesn't have any low income program. They opted out of Obama care. There is a clinic that takes donations of whatever you can pay. Dr's are all volunteer, as well as all staff members, if they don't have samples to give you they call scripts into the pharmacy and they pay for them. Think they have a deal with that pharmacy.

      Good morning!
We had rain yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours.....enough that our yard was well flooded! Yay! It also rained some last night as well. More rain due today.
It's 72° this morning....going to be 95° before the day is done. Much nicer than triple-digit weather.

Yesterday E picked up my package that Fed-Ex left at Walgreen's --- this contained 2 denim dresses that I'd hoped to take on our trip, but they arrived a day too late. E seems to like me in dresses. I like the casual ones. But I may have to start ironing again for them to look good.

Nothing special going on here. I'd like to bake something, but that would heat the entire house. Don't need that to happen. So I'll just wish you all a Zippity-Do-Da Day. 😄

Good morning! I do think it is suppose to be a little cooler here also this weekend. High tomorrow is going to be 84 but I am heading south to spend the day with Scott so it may be warmer in Sikeston MO. Sierra agreed to go along and share the driving but it appears I will also be entertaining her bf. 3 hours in one direction and then 3 hours home again is a long time in a car with someone who makes your teeth grind. But I have not seen Scott all summer and I know he has done beautiful things in his yard. Yesterday I never left the house to even go to the mail box. Did talk with my sister for a couple of hours but that is probably the extent of anything productive. I don't think I have the blahs but I just do not have any energy. Maybe I am suffering the post vacation blues. Anyway...I probably will not be here to check in tomorrow since we are leaving very early. Have a great weekend!

Good morning lazy day around here...Will go to a pool party tonight...A back pack delivery/pool party. My church has a thing were parents that need school supplies and back packs for their chidren can call and sign up their kids....and the people of the church and community adopt those kids. Mom and I adopted a senior in high school.

I got sad/happy/exciting news from the director of the adult daycare I volunteer with.. The director got a new job she was trying for...I am so excited for her yet sad for the center..I am going to continue volunteering but only one day a week unless they need me for something special. Maggie and I will continue to get together and do stuff.

good late morning! I went swimming at 6:00 when I got up and then went to Walmart for All the list (which had me all over that huge store), then home to put thngs away and tape up the big box of the dog blankets and then out to the post office to mail the box to Idaho. There were a lot of men already waiting in line for the post office to open so it took a while there.. Of course, there was only 1 window open but she was one of the friendly ones, so it all went well. Whle we were waiting in the lobby we could hear loud voices in the back yelling to Open the doors and other voices yelling It isn't my job! Kind of funny/kind of weird...there was a sheriff deputy waiting, too, and he was paying attention to all the noise, but they finally opened the doors...women's voices.
So, not much I Have to do until it is time to get ready for the daycare birthday party at 2:00pm. they live about 10 miles out in the country where the river bends and it is BLM lands for the most part, so really wild except for where this one area is...really wild meaning you can see eagles, which is cool, but you also have to watch for snakes, which is not cool.
It is definitely not cooler here, but happy for the cooler weather and wetter (Jo) where you all are.
Maxie, when Sierra is driving, put in your ear phones and tune the bf out.
Beth, that is awesome that you and your mom do that for a senior. That last year should be fun as well as the hard year it usually is academically.
Donna, I had to go back over that 12 twice to have it fully register! 12. Pies. Really! 12 Pies!!!! How hot does your kitchen get?
Have a great rest of your day everyone!

LOL! Yes, 12......but you missed the part that I baked 24 yesterday. So far today I've got 18 baked and probably will do 6 more. Had an extremely rough morning. Went down at 9pm with low sugar and didn't feel human until 1pm. Lost a big chunk of my day. Fortunately Lew called to see where their pies were & if I was OK. He came at 10:30 to pick up the pies & check on me. Made me drink a full sugar Coke and test my sugar.
          Working...
