Good morning....Yesterday was exactly what I needed a day of nothing....ordered Pizza hut last night and watched fireworks on TV. Fell to sleep around 930...but not a good sleep because people in the surrounding neighborhood where shooting off fireworks....til atleast 1 if not later.

Today is work followed by my helper lady.....I have alot of hours with her today...she owes me some from last week....we are going to goodwill family dollar and to get groceries. We will also be doing some chore type stuff.

Church tonight maybe.

Good Morning!

Yesterday was a super productive day. Haven't had one of those for a while. Got all our laundry done & started on Becca's. And baked & cooked the rest of the time. Made pies for customers and since I had enough dough, made two small strawberry pies....one for us ladies & one I sent home for my brother Tom & niece.

We had a nice cook out. My Mom, SIL, and SIL Mom came as well as my brother Ray. Ray left after we were done cleaning up so us ladies could get busy playing cards, which was the original plan. I put Cork in charge of getting the charcoal going in the grill, and man did he ever. He filled the whole bottom. It was so hot it melted the handles on one item and warped the metal tray. Crazy hot! The burgers & chicken were done in no time.

If think today is going to be slower paced. Blaise has a 10:30 swim lesson and swim team practice this evening. I need to deliver the pie to the doctor's office. Need to make a quick stop at Aldi's and then home. I may actually go swimming in our pool this afternoon. The water is perfect.

We were thrilled when they told Cork he'd be off Saturday - Tues after working a week of 12hr shifts. Well then they came around Friday and informed them they'd be working 11hr shifts Wed & Thur and a 10hr shift on Friday....they weren't getting paid for the day off on Monday. Oh well, it was nice having him home 4 days in a row.

Good morning.
Yesterday was uneventful! A couple of neighbors set off some fireworks in their backyards after dark, but they weren't extremely loud or disturbing.
Need to shower this morning before going for that ECHO test at the hospital. After that, no other plans for today.

Oh, the columns of smoke we saw the other day.....it's now called the Burro Fire, and has burned more than 21,000 acres already. There are still others burning, we really could use a good rain. Temps are rising, and we're under an "excessive heat alert" again through Friday. They've predicted actual thunderstorms for the weekend. Hope it happens!!!

Good Morning, yesterday was spent with Larry's sister and her family who are up from Texas. They had borrowed a camper and had a spot in perfect place to see fireworks. Her husband did the grilling we had way to much food. I did gain a grandson along with the deal. Their son is 5 and decided that I am grandma. Gave me 2 big hugs when we left to come home.
