Good morning.

Time to rise and shine, or at least rise. Have to go to T.H. today to take Violet so she can spend her graduation money. You know kids....money burns a whole in their pocket. So it's to Toys-R-Us so she can get what she wants. Friday she leaves for Florida with her mommy. So she needs something to entertain her in the motorhome on the way.

Nothink else going on in my little world today, but tomorrow I go to the Lake for a couple days. So I will be "missing in action". Everyone have a great day.

Morning...my parents are in town for the day so they bought me breakfast..i am sitting in the break room at work eating then I will clock in..

Work today volunteer this afternoon. Out to dinner this evening..

The lady that will be coming to my house to help me out came yesterday so we could meet her. She seems really nice. I think I can learn alot from her.

Morning. OK....I need a MAJOR dose of WARM sunshine. It's been chilly all week.

Yesterday I never did get here. I went out the door for the school almost as soon as Blaise got on the bus. I was at the school until 3pm volunteering for the JA (Jr Achievement). We had a nice day. Got nothing to speak of done here at home. I raided the pasta & rice area in the pantry because I've been noticing those kinds of moths. It was the rice. I got a good sale on it, but it wasn't much of a sale since I pitched all 4 bags. Took Blaise to swim team practice.

Today we were SUPPOSE to be going up to see Becca's apt and having lunch with her, but her work schedule changed those plans. Think I'll finally get around to making the PB and Samoa pies. My poor kitchen floor need a major cleaning. Anytime you work with Oreos, the floor gets cruddy. I really should go out and weed, but I'm just not motivated.

Speaking of motivating, Blaise was doing too much yakking and not enough swimming, so if he does what he's SUPPOSE to do, I've been giving him a new book when he gets home from practice. It's working. He LOVES new books. Tonight is uniform night where you can purchase items for meets. Well I went on Amazon.com and got his trunks for almost half the price. Sorry, but I just couldn't justify $40 for a pair of swim trunks. Now they aren't regular swim trunks you see at the beach, but the Speedo type that are tight. Now they don't wear those skimpy kind, but rather what they call jammers, which are longer to almost an inch above the knee.

Good morning.
Yesterday almost nothing got done. I slept most of the day, under an electric blanket. Plus I was running a fever, 99.something. I sure got my "beauty sleep".....but it didn't work! I need to send a MyChart message to my doc. This has happened twice in two weeks. So I didn't get my haircut yesterday. Might as welll wait til my hairdresser returns. I'm doing better today.

Yesterday at 3:30 I woke again, this time to the sound of heavy rain and horrible wind. We had quite a storm for about 3/4 of an hour. Early monsoon season??? I was very glad to see the rain, though. And the thunder sounded like it was right overhead! Wow.

Cookie, do you crush those Oreos inside a plastic bag? Might save you some cleaning up.

I think I want a homemade breakfast sandwich this morning. So I'll be waiting for E to get up before I make it, if I eat now, he'll just want cereal. If I make it later, he'll have one, too.

I "crush" my Oreos in a food processor. Put them in a big bowl, then measure out 2 cups into each pie pan. Then add other ingredients and shape/mold crust. It's just a messy process for me and when you are measuring out 12 cups of crumbs then molding 6 shells, crumbs end up on the floor & counter for me. I'm not a super neat baker/cook.

Another morning another headache. Think I need a different allergy pill for whatever is in the air. Andrew was over last night and delighted that his dad had already cut the grass so his dirty little body jumped into the pool for the evening. He is the first to adventure out into the Arctic waters. Sierra came in right after work and went straight to bed. I was in bed watching the Cardinals blow another game and reading and she did not seem to be in a bad mood or angry about anything. Guess we will see. I packed a lot of my stuff yesterday and Andrew's mom laughed when she saw the size of suitcase he had picked for her to pack. Guess the boy has stuff! She ask Jon what he was packing in and he said a plastic bag since the kid took his suitcase! It is so much fun to see him excited about this vacation. May have to break down and get some food in here. Drew ate grilled cheese and mac and cheese when he got out of the pool...that is a lot of cheese! I need to get moving and having a hard time starting my engine. Is Blaise still in school Donna? Good for you using books as motivation...wish we had had a mother around here who had done that. Jostoy enjoy the lake. How are the gnats? Beth and Sassy have a wonderful day. I am off to tackle the morning chores but first another cup of coffee to build up my energy.

Tomorrow (Friday) is the last day & it's only a half day. I like to buy series of books from Scholastic Books. Every month they send home a flyer and occasionally I'll splurge. I really want to encourage the reading. He likes Captain Underpants, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Big Nate. All of them have some fun cartoon drawings to go with all the words. The books I got to encourage him and lighter reading, but for $35 I ended up with 27 books.

I woke to rain, too, Jo and it is wonderful! I looked out and all the driveway is wet, meaning under the tree, too. If it isn't a good enough rain the tree keeps the drops from getting the entire driveway wet and tha tis how I can tellif we are getting a good enough rain to water. Not scientific at all, but I am happy this morning. The edges of the yard are getting watered!
Three less kids today; grandma time. Yesterday a grandma came and got my super chatty girl early, so that was nice, too. I love having her, but about day 2 I remembered why I am happy for school to start back up!
The breakfast sandwich sounds good, Jo. I wonder if I can get anyone interested...one school child never wants breakfast, but he might want a sandwich...
Not much going on here. We are getting into a nice routine.

good mid-morning .

been on phone, been doing light little chores..
been sorting and counting out pills... with two people taking pills , its a job to keep straight who's
pills are ready for refills.. plus the Vit D. bottle is almost empty.

got the phone call from dear lady who has a problem with alcohol. ( she is so lonely, , shes a divorcee, ,her only child does not live near etc etc, )..
and she gets overwhelmed with sadness .. she called. and we talked for 1/2 hr.. I hope I helped her. ..she sounded sober. so I hope its just a crying jag.. I will call her later today to see..may have to go to house ?.

Paula, I have microwave egg cookers. I egg per "cup" (it has an attached lid to prevent any spatter). I put a thin piece of ham lunchmeat on the bottom, I beaten egg, then top it with thin-sliced cheese. I use the skinny bread for these. Perfect fit on that bread. It only takes about a minute in the microwave.per sandwich.

You can also use 6 oz custard cups to get the egg to fit those breads. But use some kind of cover (parchment, or small paper plates) on them in the microwave.
