    Good morning everyone.

Just about caught up around here. Just have to mow and clean my house. Then it will be rest time, and boredom.

    Everyone have a good day.

    Good Morning, Friends. :

Rain and more rain. Our ballgame that is played in Dallas was rain delayed by 2 hours. By the time the game started, the rain had drifted our way. We never complain about rain, however.

Biscuits and ham in the making for John's breakfast. We have this darn Cook's ham that we can't let ruin, so all I do is try to figure out new ways to serve it.

Newsletter on my agenda for today, so I had better start looking for typos.

    Have a good day, Everyone.

        Good Saturday morning.
Today begins a week's run of triple digit days. E has given the trees a good deep watering.

Tomorrow we're treating nephew & niece to Gaslight theater. Nephew is the guy who recently was in a motorcycle accident, when a deer jumped in the backroad in front of him. He's finally gotten the stitches out, not too sure about total use of his arm,but the guy's new bike is ready to be picked up when he can ride again.

Tried again to get a hair appointment. My hairdresser's still on vacation, her assistant fully booked, so my only choice was "the new girl" there. I hope she's fully qualified, as sometimes there's a trainee there. I couldn't get in til Wednesday.
Right now, I'll just be happy getting my hair cut to be manageable.

Other than that, not much happening. Oh, my colostomy has to be redone in a couple of weeks. Not really looking forward to that. The worst part is the solution I get to drink the night before. A gallon of it. Yechhhhhh!

Well, time for my hot tea and breakfast.

Have a great day, everyone! ☀️

Good morning all! Had a great Friday. Sierra was here all day and as we were cleaning up the supper mess Andrew strolled in for the evening. He and Sierra played video games all night and before he left we read. Jon and Sierra both joined us to listen and he read great! I do not understand how he can know difficult words and stumble over the simple ones. Anyway he picked this stupid book DOG MAN and those comic book type books (it is a hard back) are hard but he did a good job. Sierra has been home more this week than before and I thought maybe she was having some relationship problems. But...it turns out he has been working extra shifts to buy concert tickets. Poop!! I was really being mean and hoping for trouble in paradise and here he was doing something special for her. If it keeps her home a few nights a week he can buy more concert tickets all summer! Yesterday I received a package from my sister with a tee shirt. You all know how antisocial and hermit like I am and she nailed it with this shirt. 'EW, PEOPLE'...you gotta love it! Also received an invite to her house for the afternoon tomorrow since she will have her grands, 7, 5, 3. I love watching those little guys and she will have enough water in the pool for them to splash around in. It is not repaired but they gave her the go ahead to fill it and start the skimmers. She was beginning to call it the cement pond put now it is back to the pool. Anyway, Sierra is off tomorrow and says she might ride along tomorrow....actually she will be driving and I will be riding along if she goes! We leave for vacation a week from today and the day counting is starting. Jon has a co-worker on their first visit now and she is texting saying it is raining with rain predicted through Wednesday. We have had those type of trips and you just gotta keep going...Most of the attractions do not get shut down and we always packed extra shoes for when the first pair is drying out. But I sure hope we are going to get the dry week. I have a busy week coming up but it is crazy type fun getting ready to leave. Need a hair cut one day and a pedi the next, this dumb lunch I have with Jon's friend on Monday and 3 ball games with Andrew. Plus cleaning, organizing and packing. The first two items I seem to do alone...humm. Tomorrow we will discuss the plans for the reunion my sister hosts for a week in July where the entire family gathers at least for a day or so. I always stay the entire week so I get to see everyone. It was so much simpler when the kids were younger but it is nice to see them interact as adults....and return to those days when they act like kids! The cousins are all boys except for Kate and Sierra so you know all sense goes out the window with a beer and cousins who share a like brain. Boy was I gabby this morning. Think I have been pretty quiet all week so this is the make up. Hottest day of the summer so far on tap for us today and I am ready. A/C is working fine and we have left overs!! Hope I didn't talk your ears off...

Blaise reads Dog Man. The guy is also the author of the Captain Underpants books, which Blaise has the entire series. He LOVES them along with the Diary of the Wimpy Kid. Loved reading your "book" this morning!

Maxie, we have started the search for luggage and clothes for our trip. The luggage was mostly in storage and has to be dusted. How an enclosed storage unit can get so dusty is beyond me. I brush it off and then go over with a damp cloth. I am still looking for cotton tops and pants. Denim is going to be too hot and I want to be ready for the humidity. If you can be ready...like people are surprised when they visit here and see/feel what a dry heat is in the 100's...
I jposted on Facebook a picture of my grandson, Hal, at his first piano recital. My son posted a video but I am not sure how to share it. He played three songs: My Grandfather's clock, the Bridge of Avignon and Jingle Bells. He made a couple of mistakes and just kept going. I had the songs in my head all evening. Spencer said he was singing them in his head, too. the Bridge song is one all kids seem to learn in French class..
Becky went to our storage during the day and brought over more tubs of my friend's Precious Moments figurines. It is a good thing it is a large shed! Today I am taking a lot down to the Pet shelter for their yardsale and will have more. right now there are two piles in my house, one by the door (which has to go!) and another by the treadmill. Of course, someone came over in the evening with apricots for us and kind of looked wide eyed at the stuff. I told him it was for a yard sale but I don't want anyone else to come by until I get it out of here.
The apricots a re delicious, so it was worth the embarrassment. So jam making will be squeezed in somewhere.
I need to get myself moving again. I have water on and will go clean some floors. In an hour I have an appointment and then ready to shop for food. Again. Neverending story of my life.
Hope you all have a great day with good games and sales!

        Good Morning!

Yesterday was good. Cork road down to Monroeville to the surgeons office for the final check & then release on my thyroid. I finally got the cookie doughs baked off. Still need to roll & dip the Oreo truffles. Took Blaise to swim team practice & then we went down to have cake & ice cream with my youngest niece who graduated HS last night.

This morning we ate & headed right now the door to go to a couple garage sales....my husband's new "thing". I was the one though that bought something at each place. My BIG deals were towels for the pool for $.50 each and 2 non-stick pots for $.25 each. The pots are perfect for making pie fillings. Now to get busy and bake 2 carrot cakes. I have none in the freezer for the restaurant if they call.

        Have a good one all!

Thanks, Sassy. My hairdresser seems to be on an extended vacation. But I know her habits and health problems, and I'm sure she needs the time off.
She does make a point of training the trainees she hires. When a customer has a particular type of hair, she calls all her workers to explain what it is, what she's doing, and why she's doing it that way. Plus, what products she uses on that customers, and why. Otherwise I wouldn't accept a trainee.
