Good Palm Sunday Morning.

my, how fast time flies!... at least for me it does..

spent an afternoon with Karens mother in law.. yesterday.. she had a stoke couple years ago. and has now slip into dementia and signs of Alzheimer.
but we talked about the "many years ago" stuff ..... that she still remembers .. she won't remember I was there tho'.

getting ready for church.. have hair to fix. so better get moving ..

Good morning...my women's retreat with church was great...can't really talk about what I learned still processing and thinking..Today I am going to be a part of a kickball tournament..

It was decided yesterday I am going to my parents for Easter...

Yesterday morning I got a text from my mom she and my uncle had come to Saint Charles to work at my sisters..they had barely been there and fell down the steps...and sprained her ankle really really bad...She did get it looked and its just a very bad sprain. They say that its almost better to break an ankle instead of spraining it...she is on crutches...and has to keep it elevated as much as possible...I feel horrible for her...I may or may not end up cooking easter dinner for dad mom uncle p and I. We will have meat loaf green bean cassarole and deviled eggs...mom will tell me how to make her meat loaf...I think that I can do it if she over sees everything...

beth, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. Hope she heals quickly.

I am ready for church. Made a ham/cheese ball to use up so much ham we had. And bought a box of Ritz that have garlic in them. Can't do garlic, but the folks at church can. LOL

We are hanging in with the TX Rangers, but they are pretty bad. We probably won't make it through the season.

Morning. Got a lot done yesterday but not what we wanted to do. Went to look at landscaping block and found out the owner lives in our neighborhood. So we talked about the road and rail construction and the area and then he said he would stop by and look. Well he did and we are not going to landscape but remove the existing sidewalk and replace it then we will have the area we wanted landscaped regraded and it should change the look of the entire front. Looks like the actual landscaping will wait until next summer. We bought two more chairs and made a seating area on the patio and dug out some bushes. All in all it was a very productive day with very little sweat equity. Jon is back to work today and I have baseball and hockey all afternoon. Laundry of course. Tomorrow I have a haircut and Wednesday doctor appointment. Drew is out of school Thursday and Friday so a full week. Do not have to fix dinner for Easter since we are going to my brothers but I do need to come up with a dish. Cloudy but in the 80s today...yesterday was sunny in the 70s. Beautiful out.

Not much going on here. The weather has been in the mid-high 80's. Nights are still cool.
E finally got the last of the paperwork in for doing taxes. He's got the numbers all in place for now, but now has to call one of the companies he worked for to clarify theirs. Minor complication.

Beth, sorry about your mom. Hope she mends quickly.

Elaine, people either love garlic or hate it. I can't do garlic, either. The ham & cheese ball sounds good.

Maye, too bad about Karen's MIL. It's good you can talk with her about "many years ago". Sometimes I miss those years.
I forgot about it's being Palm Sunday today.
Did anyone watch the movie last evening about "The Last Days of Jesus?". It was quite interesting.

Good SUNNY Morning! Lovin' it!

Yesterday wasn't as productive as I would have liked, but that was OK. I didn't have anything pressing to get done. I did clean a bit and had hoped to get laundry done, but that's still on today's To Do list. Kathy & Mike showed up early afternoon and was here all day. Blaise & I were just getting ready to head out the door to go to my Mom's & the library, so they went along with us. I ended up ordering pizza for dinner & they went to pick it up.

Speaking of landscaping. I was telling Mike & Kathy about possibly removing the RR ties along the driveway, though not sure how I was going to do it or what I was going to do with them. Well Mike piped up that he & his friend would do it. They are always looking for firewood, so that's one problem solved. He picked up one end of one of them and made it look like nothing.

This morning we went to church & SS. I've already straightened up the living room & front room. Getting ready to host cards here tonight. We went back & forth about if we were going to play or not and finally I just canceled it yesterday because I hadn't heard from my friend Sandy. I no sooner did that, than Sandy texted me & she'd she'd love to play. So cards is back on. I was going to have pizza, but since we had it last night, I think I'll make the orange chicken I had planned to make for dinner last night.
