    8:30 and nobody around ????

    Well, it's a beautiful day in this neighborhood. I mowed and raked some yesterday and need to do a lot more of it today. BUT nephew has some fellas working here on installing electricity to the utility shed, so I may not venture outside.

    Last chemo shot yesterday and John tolerated it well, but I do see him slow. Got a washer full of bedpread and now it's telling me it's time to dry, so better get hopping.

    Have a beautiful day, Everyone.

      Good morning.
      I don't know what bug hit me yesterday, but I slept away most of the day. E gave me my cold meds back, so I took them. Am doing better today, but have little, if any, energy.
      Guess I'll go make my tea now.

          I'm running late this morning..no excuse except the bed felt good. Last night we made a run to look for a tree for the front and flowers in general and landscaping blocks in particular. Found a tree, no flowers...what! everything is picked over and it is only April..pitiful selection! We cannot decide what to do in the front so think I will go with plain and simple and start with pulling out the old. Jon took a day off today and we will pull the old out. Maybe seeing it 'nekked' will inspire us someway. Wish I could afford a professional but must pay the carpenter first to do the lattice and finishing work we said we could do but obviously we either can't do it or don't want to it and I am talking my son so either way is probably correct. We do not share a finished vision and his dad was that way. Of course I am the type who wants what they want and he is the practical type that says you cannot do it that way. Well, whatever we do will be an improvement and then the front will be finished. Oh, and I also have ideas for the backyard. I have a bucket full of ideas and we have a teaspoon budget! Suppose to be beautiful this weekend and it is a lovely morning already although the furnace did just kick off so the warmup had better be fast. Cardinals play this afternoon and Blues this evening. Remember when you were a kid and all the backyards had baseball on their radios? Around here they just take a beautiful weekend afternoon and shoot their guns. Wonder if I could even find a radio? Andrew pack rats everything so he may have one. He came in so dirty last evening...he changes shirts constantly but never thinks of showering or even washing. No one stirring yet so may get another cup of coffee. When Jon comes up he will be ready to work with no delay but then he finds something else to start. People with ADHD are great starters and finishes are never-ending battles. Hope everyone is going to have the same gorgeous weekend we are going to have. Whatever make it fun!!

            Good SUNNY Morning! Yesterday was cold, windy, and snow flying in the air off & on all day. Old Man Winter's last blast....we hope.

            Yesterday I met myself coming & going, but I got it ALL done. Made up my icings before heading to meet Kathy for breakfast. She brought Mike. I then went to the bank and to Giant Eagle to pick up their sale items that I had coupons to match with the sale. Then it was home to make 8 no-bake pies...5 Samoa & 3 PB. Had to ice a carrot cake and 3 doz mini carrot cakes. Then iced the 3 1/2 doz cupcakes. 2 1/2 doz were for an order. They all started with a green base icing for the "grass" and then the football ones had a brown (choc) football put on half of them and and Oreo baseball on the other half. I then piped "grass" on all of them. They turned out really cute. I even then cooked dinner. I was beat after all that & cleaning a kitchen 3x throughout the day. The floor was so sticky, I even gave it a quick mop to take off the initial layer of sticky.

            This morning I got to sleep in and I've been puttering around cleaning. I pulled out the bed and cleaned the dust bunnies behind it....YUCK! Stripped the bed and got it put back together. Need to start the laundry. Aunt Janet & Uncle D stopped by to drop off a few things & I gave her a doz mini carrot cakes. After my customer comes to pick up her cupcakes, Blaise & I are heading to Saxonburg. Going to drop off the extra cupcakes at my Mom's. Probably go to the library. Need to pick up a Rx. I'm debating about making the Rice Krispie Treat colored "eggs" for Blaise's class for next Wed. I also want to mix up the filling for the ladylocks that people have ordered for Easter. The shells are in the freezer already. We'll see. One hour at a time. Of course I'll be doing laundry btw all of that.

            Maxie....the lady who helps me bake loves to do landscaping too, so I talked to her the other day when she was here picking up her sugar cookies about helping me do mine. Of course I'll pay her, but I plan to work with her. She had the ideas. I've set aside so money for it and also for the limestone the driveway needs. Cork ask why we even need limestone. He grew up in town where they just pulled into their little bit of yard and never put any limestone down. I grew up in a housing plan that you put in down about every other year. We swear it all went to China. Anyways, that's what my baking money does...the extras.

            Have a good one all!

              Good sunny and No Wind Day! I went out to get the paper and no wind at all. It rained last night but nothing wet on the driveway, so I am pretty happy. I have dog grooming appointments and regular shopping so sun is important to everyone's happiness.Like sassy said yesterday, that wind makes for a bad hair day!
              It is change the bed day here, too. I did my laundry yesterday so Becky and I can do our bedding today. I let her do hers fist and that way when she is at the shelter I will do mine.
              I stayed up watching QVC...kind of weird, I know, but I really liked the short jean jacket the host was wearing with a long maxie dress and was hoping she would mention if it was from QVC. She didn't but they were showing some sandals...I ordered a pair. They have a great 30 day return policy and I figure if they don't feel as good as they said, or stay on my feet, I will return them. I resisted buying a new purse, but I decided to go to bed before they convinced me I really needed a new one!
              Donna, I envy the people ordering Ladylocks for Easter. I just don't have company coming. I will be ordering for Becky's graduation!
              I better get going if I am to put a dent in my Have to Get it Done List!
              Keep a positive thought and pass a smile on to everyone you meet!
              And stay well, friends!

                GOOD EVENING

                had one of those day where the plans got changed as the day moved on..... I did get to Donna.s ...brought home the carrot cake cupcakes.. and promptly took 4 of them to a dear neighbor who is always the helpful "-soup -cookies.bringing and help clean your driveway of snow." person.. also told her she could order these from Donna.. ( sales pitch).

                .went on to the library . return a few , borrow a few.. .then got a text asking if I could "visit" with my daugh"s. mother in law... she is in early dementia/alztheimer ...and all family were to be busy .Could I set with her for a while in the afternoon..I spent 3hrs with her... she makes good sense when you chat about long ago.events.. she knows who I am while I am there. our relationship. how we share grandkids.. but would forget me ten minutes after I leave..I had told Karen to call when they needed me to "visit" her.

                I ,too , need to clean weeds out of flower bed.. ummmmm I wonder which Grand kid needs money?..

                Sassygirl. this my cat same reaction !... cute one...

                Hi Paula.

                Elaine, David too has slowed down a great deal.. and he Hates it.. he has never been able to get back to work at the sawmill.. sad for him.

                ~~~~~~ at you all.. see you tomorrow..
                Take it one Day , one step, at a time.. cause that's all we really have.
