Good SUNNY Morning! They say were are going to have snow tonight. Crazy!

Yesterday was good. Made the German Choc pie for the doctor's office & got that delivered and then went to Aldi's to pick up some of their new sale items and stock back up on fruits. We are really enjoying the mandarin oranges they've been having on sale. Came home and rolled out the crusts for the pies I have to bake today. By looking at my list, I see I forgot one pie, so will have to do that one later today. Took a break during the afternoon and went to visit my Dad's cousin & family who just live down the road a bit. It's a shame we live so far away from each other.

Ted & Evie's family was really there for us (and her Mom & Grandma) after my Dad died. We were close to them before that, but they really made an effort to include us afterwards. Their house was one you just popped into and made yourself comfortable. You want something to eat or drink? There is the refrigerator. We spent many Christmas Eves there. Evie is the family historian on my Dad's side. Of course I was there much longer than I planned, but that's OK.

Came home and started working on the fillings for all the pies for today. Cork came home feeling sick again, so he went straight to bed and didn't have supper with us. I made Blaise & I tacos. It's something Corky won't eat.

This morning I got up and got the first 3 pies in pretty quick. I've got the second 3 in now and they'll be done before I have to leave for Bible study. Will come home from that and finish up the rest of the pies. Who knows what else I'll get into.

    Have a good one all!

PS: Aunt J/Maye text me this morning & her server is down & the tech can't come out until tomorrow to fix whatever it is.

    Good morning everyone.

Got out of the house for the most part of the day. Went over to the Lake. It was so pretty yesterday, and we're suppose to be in the 60's again today. The drive over was so nice yesterday. May have to get out again today, and do something.

Went to Bible Study last night. We finished studying Revelations. Next week, we start studying Psalms, all 155 chapters. That should last at least for a good year.

No work today...just waiting for it to warm up, and get outside. Starting tomorrow the temp drops and stays low until 3/17. Getting winter temps when we should be getting warmer.

Everyone, except Donna, don't work too hard. She's already said she'll be busy. Have a great day.
Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.

Good morning. Sun is shining and something has the birds in an uproar. We have a lot of hawks flying around so maybe they are searching for breakfast. Jon is off today and suppose to do some household chores. I told him he was the cook tonight also. I just cannot come up with any ideas! I feel like we eat the same stuff over and over. Personally I would rather just eat what I can find when I am hungry. The good old days of living alone! I ran the vacuum yesterday which just showed me that now I need to mop...should have left well enough alone! Heard from Scott bright and early and Monday's storm through his neighborhood has been declared a tornado. He said there was a lot of damage around him and he had to hold on while the house shook and rattled. He is a believer in the freight train sound. They were so lucky. They also have declared the storm that went through mommy dearests area was also a tornado. We were so lucky here! All the damage around here is clustered like wind shears. Sierra connected me back to Firefox and I have my spell check back. Boy do I make a lot of errors....I think my fingers move faster than my brain and I skip or transpose letters. Today I have laundry and would love to give the bathroom another coat of paint. Have decided what to paint the porch, white rails with a dark stain on the deck and steps. Now just need a week of good weather and since it is Spring that may take a while. Sierra left yesterday for work and was going home to mommy. Told her to not argue or take anything from them. If they start just grab your clothes and homework...girl never goes anywhere without her backpack and compute...and head over here. Boy say a prayer that she grows up and they leave her alone. Two more.months of school. Then we have that little boy. Wish I knew what was going on in his head!!!..or not. They are starting school testing and I hate that. Have never been a fan of mandatory testing. But there again is another of my opinions...I gotta million of them. Sun is shining and suppose to be warm with rain later and then cold with snow on Saturday. The little dwarf lilac I planted last year is so full of buds I don't know how it will support itself when they open. Unless the predicted snow and cold get to it first. Must be Spring in the Midwest...everything is budded just in time to freeze.

It is looking like a good day outside. Sun is out!
I DVR' d a PBS fundraiser with Daniel O'Donnel. Irish singing and lots of good music...listening to it now. I listened to the news long enough to hear the weather and switched it over to the music.
Irish music ( the old ballads) was something we always played in March. My mother's family and Gary's mother's family both go back to Ireland, so it was an easy choice.
I took sweaters and poly fill to church and the girls finished 6 dog beds. They turn d out great! Not one girl had her cell phone out!!! Believe me, anymore, that is the mark of a good activity...I am a little shock d at how many ( all) have a phone and how often ( almost all the time) they are scrolling on it! They don't use them during church service, but in Sunday school classes, and our midweek activity, those phones are out!
I made a super yummy Chex mix and added Scooby graham crackers, shaped like bones, and then some pretzels to cut the sweetness. Fun night!
I better get going . Hope all goes well for all of you!

Guess I'm last to post today.
A very good morning to you all.

This morning I got up after 8, but last night didn't get to sleep til after 2 a.m. Don't know why. Woke this morning with sinus pressure in my left eye. It's threatening to be a headache. I hope not, I hope it just passes.
It's gotta be spring is super warm (I'm not complaining) and afternoons are in the mid-high 80's now, and the foreseeable future. My elm trees finally got buds for their leaves. The rains and high winds finally took all the leaves off the pistache tree in the front yard, and I'm hoping it'll bud soon.

Yesterday was a lazy veg-out day for us. Today I hope we go shopping. Today will be using up leftovers for meals. Tomorrow we'll start fresh.

Oh, when we went to see that Chinese show, I actually wore a real dress! I bought it well over a year ago, and hadn't worn it (had to remove the tags). It was looser than I remember but E said it looked great. Guess I've lost a bit of weight. It has a little jacket or shrug, which helps to hide my surgical lumps. Actually wore a pearl necklace & earrings with it, too. The Music Hall suggested formal wear, but I saw that only half the people got dressed up formally. A few womens' dresses were halfway porn, which suggested that group was looking to pick up men. Half the people went in casual clothing.

Jostoy, I'm glad you're feeling better!
Cookie, I've nearly forgotten about relatives. I don't have many left. I know there are cousins I've never ever met still in MI. A couple cousins who stay quasi in touch....seldom hear from them, even if I send letters or cards. One may be moving here to Scottsdale or Phx, another back to CA.
It's another thing just keeping up with my own kids, much less their offspring. *sigh*

Well, guess I'll grab some breakfast.
I hope each and every one of you have a great day! ☀️️
Maye, I hope the computer guy does a good job fixing up your computer!!!!

            Good Morning.

maxie, kids, cleaning, cooking - you will stay young forever!

Donna, what is wrong with Cork? Hope he is ok. I love tacos!

JoG - sounds like an interesting night. Not sure young folks know what formal wear is.

jostoy, glad you are enjoying the great outdoors. We need to get outside a lot more than we do.

Paula, saw a dog bed on FB made with sweaters. Wonder if what you did was the same. So cute!

Tried to get here earlier but company showed up and I have been entertaining a lady I had never met for the last 2 hours.

She is gone now and I can get on with my rat killing. Trash day! Yay!

            Have a good day, Everyone.

The casual clothes people were mostly seniors. I guess they figure at our age, they can wear whatever they want as long as it's comfortable. 😄

I dress for comfort... invite me formal and I would have to think about going! Plus all those years of heels have ruined my ankles! Saturday we are dress shopping for my sister. She has a formal wedding with the wedding one day and the reception the next and BOTH are formal. Nice to have la de da friends but not for her...she is like me and if I put on makeup it is 'dressing up'! Glad you found a treasure hidden in your closet ...must have been like finding a $20.00 left in last winters jacket.

                Maxie, yes it was.
Because of foot problems, I always wear sandals.
But it's nice to see that I have dressy tops to wear with pants. And for now it's usually exercise pants for comfort (my DDs assured me that they couldn't tell they were exercise pants, they looked dressy). I prefer casual clothing, too. I wear very little makeup, though. Moisturizer, eyeliner because my eyelashes are no longer visible (most mascaras make my eyes red, so I don't bother with that), and a bit of lipstick.
