Saturday Good morning 2/25

Good morning everyone must be sleeping...I am up trying to decide what I want to wear today....its gonna be freezing cold but I am headed out to the river to watch the eagles...I hope to see some and I am really looking forward to it...

When I come home I plan to pick up my bed room and sweep and dust.

The baby shower last night was lots of fun....She got a lot of really cute stuff...

read, literally, all day yesterday.. and into the night... so kind of moving slow this morning ... just got done ordering 3 more books (on hold) . which will be delivered to my local library Monday.... not sure what else we might do today... raining here.. and supposed to rain all day.. another good day to read.!..

Have I told you all that cori loves loves loves the lint roller? She knows when I am getting it out even if we are in different parts of the house....wants me to use it on her until she is done before I can actually use it for what I need, This morning I got it out and she came running full speed and landed in the bed with me.

Good morning.
I decided that there's no point in getting out of bed before there's enough dawn light to make things visible.......just like our ancient ancestors.
Yesterday I read all morning. E decided if we got the car washed, cleaned, and waxed about 4 pm, we could eat out at 5, then do our little bit of grocery shopping.
Turns out the new owners of the car wash cut the prices nearly in half for their services, which made it a super deal. We will definitely help keep them in business.
We settled on the Olive Garden for dinner. They have new menus, new dishes. Trouble is, about 85% of the entrees have lemon-garlic sauce on them. (I had that at another restaurant, and it was bitter --- yuck.). I was going to order fish, but every single fish dish except shrimp scampi and the lemon sauce. I don't digest garlic very well. Ended up with a chicken Parmesan entree, which was excellent. They apparently deep fried the chicken, it was so crispy..... not healthy, but tasted very good.
I don't think we spent more than 20 minutes in the grocery store. I hate when they rearrange all the shelves. But we finally found what we wanted.

Yesterday was cold for us, as the temp didn't go over 60° at best. Today it's back up to 67°. Tomorrow it drops again, with rain now forecasted for then. The temps in the 70's should reappear by Thursday. For how long, I've yet to see.

Not too sure just what today will bring.
We'll see. 😄

The sun is coming through the trees and it looks like we may have nice skies today. My cousin's graveside service is this afternoon.
I have to shop for food, especially the strawberries to dip and milk chocolate chip...
Not too much else on the agenda today. I decided to not dwell on any negative or judgmental thoughts about the service today and gathering after. I will be there to honor my cousin and all our good memories. I am taking flowers today and will have a plant sent to the memorial service her mother is having next week. I waited too long to get something delivered for today so I will be taking it.

Sunny but cold...at least the wind died down. It could blow you away last night! After visiting with you yesterday morning a friend texted and we met for dinner out...so I had lunch out and then dinner out. I had not seen this friend since before Christmas and it was so nice to catch up. You know, one of those friends where you just pick up where you left off no matter how much time has passed. Home totally alone today with my stuffy nose and clogged ears...yes again! Been taking allergy meds and was hoping this weekends freeze would give us some reprieve. Scott sent a picture of his Bradford Pear in bloom. My lilac has leaf buds and the forsenythia and magnolias are budding. Poor magnolias have very few years where they are gorgeous in bloom around here. Ran into Target yesterday to get the 'stuff' Drew added to the grocery list and picked up my Peep stuffed Oreos. The advertisement is a little deceiving because there ain't no peep in the stuffing! It is just overly sweet pink icing. Now I will, naturally, eat every darn one of those cookies but I can assure you I will be saying to myself with every bite 'there is no peep in this cookie'! I do love peeps and guess I will have to buy some to start the aging process. Gotta have a stale peep!! Today I will unload the dishwasher and run the vac then read. I have 4 books started so time to just sit and concentrate and finish them off. I even bought a new one yesterday to add to the pile. I do not know why I cannot sit and concentrate on finishing a book...I used to be a constant reader and now I have not finished a book in ages. The book I keep in the car is showing some promise so I brought it in last night after waiting for my friend. House is getting cold so better check if the furnace knows I am home today. It did run last night but it needs to be a little warmer when I am actually up. Enjoy your weekend and stay healthy. Time for another cuppa for me...
