A very good Sunday to you all!

It's chilly here today. Yesterday was overcast all day. Today will get up to 61°, and it'll be a week of temps in the low 60's and mid-high 50's. Must be getting to be winter. Also, we supposedly have rain on the way, and snow coming to the mountains. That was from the newspaper forecast.
We must have a new delivery person.we've been getting a daily paper, which we never ordered.

    Have a great day.

Good morning JoGee, and everyone else.

Worked a little bit in garage yesterday, then went shopping. We didn't get home until 8:30, and boy does my back let me know this morning how it wasn't happy about all that walking.

Today will be spent in the garage today. Moving , combining things, and throwing some more "stuff" in boxes for the kids. Might even take 1 of the shelving over to my youngest niece's house. I won't get everything done on this trip, but will hopefully finish on a trip next spring.

Just unbelievable all the "stuff" my brother had. But when you refinish antigue furniture, I guess it takes a lot of equipment. My nephew took the 3 table saw equipment and a lot of tools yesterday, but there are still big items to get rid of. He also took 2 big tool cabinets out. His rented truck wouldn't hold his bed from his sister's house, and had to make 2 trips to his house with the truck.

Time to get to work. Everyone have a great day.

Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.

        Good morning

moving kind of slow... Mikes got on their way about 12.30. plane out of Pitts. at 4 .and they were home by 10.30 my time.. had a two hour set in Denver before they could go on to Co.Springs... could have drove it in less time...
We went to bed EARLY ... but had interruped sleep... so I don't feel rested... maybe this afternoon when the "game" is running I will get relaxed.... .enjoyed my company,,, and all the family time .... if Christmas had less trimmings.. , hustle and bustle.. ( gifts. to think of , to wrap ,card to do..) I could enjoy it more.. just church . food. family together would be sufficient for me.. and yes, the Christmas music ... well ,, the oldies and religious kind.. and the dear old movies.. ahhhhhh... but it is not that anymore.
....I will try not to be to Bah Humbug on here..

JoG was just thinking of you and if you ever eve see flakes of snow?. probably impossible .. unless you go up the mountain road.

        Hi Jostoy...
and HI to you all this sunny morning ... Im going to stay away from the stores until tues or Wed.. when the kids are all back . and everyone is working.. even to buy groceries!..

        see you later

Take it one Day , one step, at a time.. cause that's all we really have.

good sunny morning! No fog yesterday because it rained most of the day. There was a break around 1:00 and my brother and his two kids raked up my leaves. What a nice thing to do since it was windy and cold! His daughter is a serology scientist at U of WA, and his son is the CPA of an outdoors supplier in Utah so along with a Delta captain, I had some very smart yard workers!
They all leave for their different destinations this morning and everyone is going away well fed and well shopped out.
We did the Main Street shops on Friday and yesterday the western wear shops. Most of the turkey is gone and just enough for some turkey salad.
After church it will be adjusting to the regular world again. Which means no more pie for awhile!
I have a big pie question: the crust was great; Becky put cinnamon in it like Sharon said, but her apple filling was dry. It was just soaked up or something...she was really disappointed in it and I will be looking for another apple pie recipe here. So if you have any ideas what went wrong please let meknow.
What did I do to the print this time? But it does seem easier to read..
Have a good day and stay well!

I peel & core a variety of baking apples, then slice them into a big bowl. I sprinkle with at least a half a cup or more of sugar, a good amount of cinnamon and a little less than a 1/4 C corn starch....toss...put in crust...top with 4-5 pats of margarine/butter then top with crust. I top the crust with an egg wash then sprinkle with sugar. I start the baking at 400 for 15 minutes then back it down to 375 until the apples are done & usually making a mess of my oven.

Slept in this morning...actually I was awake very early but watched a Hallmark movie instead of getting the day started. Scott and dog left yesterday afternoon. OMG! His dog cried and cried and cried when left yesterday morning..I mean she was non stop for several hours and just when I thought it was over she went to the front door and howled. Literally howled! Twice. Guess when you think about it she was brought into a strange house even though she does us and then she was left numerous times while he ran around. Scott says 'I think she suffers from anxiety'...duh, think so? I had a little anxiety myself when the howling started. But, other than doggie anxiety, the holiday was wonderful. I know Scott enjoyed it and Andrew was very happy to see his Uncle and even ask him to come back for his Christmas program. Hope he does...the kid is growing up so fast and he hates these programs so it was an honor he ask his uncle. Today we will set up the trees but decorate tomorrow since Andrew and mother are cutting down their tree today. Setting them up is the longest ordeal so decorating before homework will be fast. Maybe today I will put up the wreath and set the candles in the window. I must start wrapping so I can get a good count of where we are with playing Santa. Andrew is 10 and is at least pretending to believe. The elf will make a comeback later this week and bring out the advent calendar. I need to get this day started. Need to look up a breakfast casserole recipe for tomorrow. I brought breakfast stuff that was not used this weekend and thought I could whip up a nice casserole for supper tomorrow. Both kids will be here and love to eat breakfast for supper...me too!

Good SUNNY Morning! It's been too long since a nice sunny morning. Yesterday was wet & dreary.

Yesterday I swear my brain got lost somewhere. I went through all the recipes I plan to make in then next 2 weeks and made my shopping list. Since my one coupon was expiring yesterday, I decided to go then instead of tomorrow. Got to Giant Eagle & was looking for my drivers license and found out I left it at home. I needed it to check Blaise into the Eagles Nest while I shopped...they took my Sam's Club card at ID though. Found the first item I wanted and found out I forgot my coupon envelope & had forgot my cell phn too. DUH!!! So I went out of there with only the hamburger that was on sale. Stopped at Arby's for a late lunch and then we headed to Aldi's. There again...I didn't have the $5 off coupons I had planned to use. Grrrrr!!!! Did up all the laundry, but didn't put any of it away.

Kathy & her posse showed up late morning to pick up the turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, and noodles for their dinner they were hosting last night. Of course she needed table & chairs and my Nesco roaster with the 3 inserts...for warming up everything. Her vehicle's transmission is giving her fits, so she wanted to borrow my car for a week....NO!!!! I have plans & appointments that I need my car. If it weren't for bad luck, she'd have no luck at all, but she brings things onto herself.

This morning we went to church & SS. Plan to mix up 13 kinds of cookie dough. May not do it all today, we'll see. I have Sue coming 3x this week and I hope we knock off all the cookies that dough will make. I was peeling the small Reece Cups last night. Needed 18 doz. Today I plan to peel the Kisses for the PB & Macaroon cookies. I know I need at least 12 doz kisses, maybe more. My goal is to be done with the primary baking by next weekend. A girl can dream ya know!

        Have a good one all!

Are you using fresh bread cubes or I have a bag of left over dressing cubes. The recipe I am using called for a roll of biscuits cut up and spread on the bottom add the sausage cooked with onion and peppers and then pour eggs and top with cheese. Couldn't figure out where to put the potatoes so thought to cook them as a side. Does your recipe compare?

No...that sounds like a casserole maybe? Both would be good though. I usually buy a loaf of day old Italian or French bread and cube it, though a semi stale loaf of regular bread would work too I'd think. Now if your dressing cubes are hard as a rock, I think you'd just use a couple more eggs & milk. You make it the day before to let the bread soak up all the egg & milk mixture.

Maye, yes!!!! Some years we DO get a snowfall. Most of the time the snow doesn't last a full day, or may melt upon hitting the ground. We love getting pictures of snow falling, especially if there is some snow on the ground.

Flagstaff AZ does have skiing during the winter. I'm sure that there is skiing and sledding here in Tucson on Mt Lemmon and perhaps the Catalina Mts in general.
