The author is Scarlett Bailey, the book is Married by Christmas.

She did use the F word, probably no more than 5 or 6 times, but the Brits are much freer in their speech than we are.
But it fit the situations of young adults, and I found it easy to ignore.

Thanks ..will look up and see if I can find it at any of my libraries.. ..

F.word is annoying. but used by appropriate character in story. I can sometimes stand... I recently checked out a book...( that went right back) where the Girls were using it . like it was a word like "shucks"... like Oh shucks , you ate the last cookie... they would use F. in there????? got mark in my reading Journal. as Crap..

I understand completely. Some authors overuse all the nastiest words, just because they can get away with it. Or because they need to "prove" themselves as younger and more hip people than they are, I guess.
I just reluctantly closed a new book about Polish people.....I can't believe the trash talk in it. It really didn't fit the situations,
And hurt my feelings, because fiction books can give you some good background info on countries and their people. I happen to be Polish. I'm also Russian, but their books weren't trashy.
