Cubs fans are waking up very happy all over the place this morning...I fell to sleep before the game was over thinking I would watch the the one Thursday night...well the cubbies finished it up and came back in the 9th to beat the Giants! The cubs move on!

Work yesterday was stressful! I don't feel like I did enough to please my supervisors...I kept getting stopped by customers needing my help. One situation took like 30 minutes a man needed clothes to wear to a funeral...Men are really hard to dress especially when they have not a clue what they want to wear. I could tell this guy is totally not used to having to dress up.

Having my friends here for lunch and then tie dying tshirts was so much fun! I definately will have these girls over again for a different craft and lunch again! We are talking about doing something at Christmas.

I am hoping that it will not be raining/storming when I get off work..I will try to wait it out some what if I can and get a bus ride closer to the house and get off and call a cab if I need too. its not what I want to do..but I won't walk from the bus stop in a storm sorry.

I plan to come home and nap...have not decided about church yet.

Good Morning!

Yesterday was good & very productive. Before going to my Mom's I got the thumbprints iced, so now all the cookies for the wedding order are done. My SIL & I cleaned my Mom's kitchen and did all the dining room windows (curtains, blinds, & windows) all by noon. Came home with WAY more than I went with. How's that happen? Came home and baked off the 2 last cookie doughs and even got them iced and into the freezer. Cork came home and started mowing immediately, so I didn't have to get dinner on the table until almost 6:30. I made a dish that he requested.

Big blessing yesterday. Came home to a phone msg from my PCP. Last week I took in an apple pie for him & his staff as a thank you and to show him what I do. Well he called & said he wants to order 2 pies every week for the staff to be delivered. He ordered D Apple & Coconut Cream for this week. I've been praying that God would provide me with enough orders/work that I wouldn't have to go out & get a part time job and orders like this make it possible. I am blessed!

This morning my Mom is arriving around 8:30 and then we are heading about an hour away for my appt with the surgeon. Hopefully I get the date today. We are going to Chili's for lunch. I've never been there and my Mom has a gift certificate she wants to use. Depending on when I get home, will determine if I have the energy to get into anything new.

Not sure what or why but I seem to be having a panic attack of sorts....not wanting to leave the house for work or anything! Just wanting to hide. Haven't had these feelings in for ever....I hope and pray that work isn't stressful again today..I feel like I can't handle one more 4 hour shift at that place..

Please pray that we get some new employees so that maybe things can go back to how they were when I was hired. Mayb my supervisors won't be so short with us!

I had the happiest of days yesterday. We cleaned out 3 filing cabinets - mine, his, and the one in the garage that holds all of the equipment files. I went through the folders and John made new labels.
It was actually fun. On top of that, one of my all-time favorite moves came on last night, and I watched and recited the dialogue right along with them - Prince of Tides - since I know it by heart.

Well, I've got to get the market today. Other than that, there is still plenty to do around here.

and I am flying through .. dr. appt at 9.30... hopefully final checkup on these shingles.. and not have to see Dr S. again until spring!... will head for the Walmart near her office , get a smidge of grocerys.. from there to lunch . or for David, Pumpkin pancake breakfast.. ... so will be back to read later.

Not flying by like most of you but do have places to go today. Lunch with the school chums. Sierra will be here after school and then is staying over so we can watch the first hockey game of the season. She got me up this morning to say the Cubs won last night....sorry Beth but you know I am not rooting for the Cubs. These rivalries continue into the post seasons too...AND the Blues play the Hawks tonight in Chicago! What a better way to start the season than playing the Blackhawks!? Have spaghetti sauce on simmering already since both kids love it. Andrew did show last night but his dad forgot to tell me he was coming so I had nothing but a pot of soup ready. He was happy with a grilled cheese or two. I never did clean anything yesterday and at this exact moment I am not sure what I did all day yesterday. Today is lost with lunch out and all the driving but tomorrow I must clean something...anything...because everything needs cleaning around here! Not sure what the days weather is because the sun is not up on this side of the house yet. Happy for you that your team won last night Beth, but watch out tonight with the Blues playing!! Enjoy your Wednesday everyone!

Good morning, all. Another nice day here. Temps in the high 70s.

I'm also crock potting. Making a beef stew as I bought some flap meat a while back. I like to BBQ it in a special marinade but no BBQ here unless I go down to the BBQ area and by the time I got it back to my apartment it would probably be cold. Also hate to use the gas for just one piece of meat.
Never used it hot anything else before so we will see how it is as a stew.

Happy (real) Columbus Day!
aka: trash day...but I got 2 full containers out! This is the first time since ordering the second large container that I have really filled them both up. My shed is looking so empty and now I just have to get rid of the empty tubs, which are old plastic and getting very brittle. And clear out some more. There is an old two drawer file cabinet out there which will be donated as soon as I clear it out. I have been clearing a path to get it out...
I am making a Fall wreath for a friend and with all the tossing of craft supplies, guess what? I had to go to Walmart last night to buy some! I was out of floral wire, glue sticks and a few other wreath making items...can't even remember now, but I know I needed them when I was there I have another wreath ready to decorate and now I have to cut more grape vines and form them into wreaths so they will dry and be ready for when I need another. I took some college floral arranging classes a few years back and between my mom's house and mine every holiday and season had an arrangement and wreath. And they all need updating or tossing after a few years, so tha tis one craft that I still do and love.
Not much going on in the food department here. I am making mac and cheese for the kids today, with a turkey sandwich ready for anyone who wont eat the homemade kind...I try to feed the best eater first so the others can see them dig into the food. Sometimes it works.

Good morning everyone.

I switched fron explorer to edge for my browser and everyone's print is so small. Will have to ask "mr Google" how to set my print larger.

Haven't been doing a whole lot. Yesterday I did tear out the wooden step at the back garage door, and put in a block step. Thought I'd be sorer this morning, but I did use my back brace while lifting the concrete blocks. Also used my hand truck while moving them from the car to around back. Guess those 2 little things helped a bunch.

Have laundry in this morning , and will cook a few things to take to the Lake. My cousin and her hubby are coming down so we can get the camper on some blocks. That makes the camper a bit more steady than what the jacks do. Will then tie it down with cable so if a tornado or straight winds come through, hopefully my camper will stay put. Will also put on the "hard line" for the septic system. Those things should finish up my projects at the Lake. Then it will be time for enjoyment and relaxation when I go over. I have yet had time to even fish while I was there.

Better get busy and pack my clothes. Will be leaving in the morning and will be back Sunday afternoon. Everyone have a good day.

Today E is getting the suitcase out for me. Will get that packed today. Then I making the Apricot Brandy cake to take to my hairdresser tomorrow. Friday - my labwork and infusion. Then we are on our way to CA.
(Yesterday I had a couple of dizzy spells, so E made me sit .... I didn't get much done.

Had a bit of trouble this morning getting into the RT. Haven't been able to enlarge Sassy's picture yet.

Well, you're all up and about, getting into your day. I should get my day started, too. Am sipping a cuppa hot orange spice tea....mmmmmm, nice.
