Oh dear. One cat is all we can handle, and thank goodness he's never been in the bathtub. LOL

Another hot day ahead. But that's what we get in TX during the summer.

Cat got me up at 5:30, so I have my chores done. Will make a run to the market and then home to stay cool.

Good morning...My dad went home yesterday..will be back Friday bringing my best friend and my mom. Dad and I took the bird back to my sisters last night so he will be there when Elyzabeth comes home so she can see him before she leaves for camp.

I am headed out the door in just a few minutes to go take care of animals one last time...then coming home and staying cool.

Good Morning. looks dreary out but there is a nice breeze blowing. Went to the store yesterday and by the time I was done I was ready to hit Kenny in the head with my cane. Maybe it's because I was raised that when you go you get everything you may need for awhile because a trip to town was a couple hours out of the day and so we didn't go all that often. He was raised in town and so it's nothing to him to just run and get one thing and then go the next day to get another. I go one aisle at a time and he will just take off and go get what HE wants, willy nilly and bring it back to the cart. I like to keep track of how much I'm putting in the cart, but with his way I can't. (my fear is that I will get to the check out and not have enough to pay for what I have. Then we get to the check out and he is putting stuff on the conveyor and just throwing stuff that is what I only use, somethings missed and landed on the floor so I'm trying to have to pick them up.Then instead of walking around to the side of the cart so I can step forward to pay he stands to where I can't get up to where I need to be. The clerk was giving him looks, like he was a missbehaving child. We stopped at Katie's and she saw us pull up and came and opened the side door (he almost had ran to the front door) so she was laughing about the fact that even with his basically leaving me behind I was still in the building before he was.

Good Morning! It's sunny. I'm thankful for the bits of rain we've gotten this past week. Surrounded by farms around here and they need it.

Yesterday was good. I got the 6 different pies baked and cleaned up. Mopped & vacuumed all floors. Just kept plugging along. Did take a couple reading breaks. After supper Blaise & I went down for a swim. It was very relaxing & refreshing. Had a nice chat with my old neighbor from Bradford. She's 91 now I think and found out she had a heart attack. Her son is going to retire early this fall and come live with her. She refuses to leave her home. I've promised her a pic of Blaise, so I've got to get that out in the mail. Talked to my SIL and Mom and couple times making plans for tomorrow & Monday. Monday we are going to celebrate my Mom's and brother Ray's BD with dinner here (I'm cooking) and cake from Giant Eagle (my Mom's choice).

This morning I have 3 more pies to bake this morning, then I'll be ready for my customer to pick up her order. I wanted the apple & peach pies to be fresh since they get a bit soggy sometimes if they sit. Yesterday's pies were the sturdier ones. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring. May take Blaise to the library since he breezed through his last group of books. I hope his love of reading continues. There is always cleaning & laundry to do. I'm not a very exciting person.

finally made it here before noon....

David was up early, making coffee, Mark showed up. and we set on the DECK and enjoyed the morning outside..

please. someone start talking about cleaning out closet or old drawers full of paper . I need to get fired up and start sorting and tossing.. Elaine did it....I can too... too many clothes. shoes. old junk jewelry. papers. books... just need clothes/ shoes taken to Salvation army . books to library . . etc etc... and the biggest problem... mark with sticker who I want the stuff in the Trunk, quilts ,cup display..to have .. I should just give them away NOW... right?..

quiet day planned.. feel a little snooze coming on... see you later .

I am up but not really awake, yet.
I have to get an iTunes card for my grandson Hal in Japan. We have the same birthday, but the 9th gets to him sooner in Japan.
I have a facial this morning, lunch with a friend, and a birthday pedicure later this afternoon. Saturday birthdays are pretty good. Daycare kids brought gifts yesterday.
Sassy, our one cat likes to sit on the edge of the tub and watch it fill up.
I hope you all have a good day and your air conditioning keeps it cook.

Good morning, all. Another nice day here without too much heat until afternoon. Nights are in the mid 50s but I still have to leave the A/C running when I go to bed as it doesn't cool early.

Laughed at the cats. I had a cat that used to jump on the toilet seat and then to the basin to drink. One day she jumped on the toilet when the lid was up. Guess she didn't like getting wet because I never saw her do it again.

All is OK here. Still have some catching up to do from when I had my neck problem but I feel stronger every day.

Good morning to all.
It's a nice hot sunny day again, temps averaging 105° , give or take a degree, through the weekend. Monday there's a 20% chance of pretending we'll see rain; we'll see how that one plays out. 🌵

Not much happening here. We will probably go shopping to get me a pair of slippers, before these I have cause me to break my neck. I don't dare try for shoes as well, not with my feet still swollen. Not as bad as before, thankfully. I'm anxious for Tuesday to arrive when I see a specialist for my problematic feet. I sit much of the day with my feet on an ottoman, watching TV lying on the couch with my feet better elevated, but it's had to sleep at night with my feet elevated. (Our beds will let you elevate the head or foot of the bed.)

DD who has applied for divorce is finding her ex-2-B playing support $ games. (Where they miss a payment, then try to get you to overlook his "hardship" that time .... Or else hold the payment til the end of the month, and try to make it look like that check is for the following month as well. (It can take months for a civilian mom to have the court look at it and fix it; as a military mom, I dropped a note to my ex's commanding officer and it was fixed immediately.). I advised her to be sure when her divorce comes through, that the court garnish his checks from the start. One problem this guy has always had was handling his money. He's had "sticky fingers" that has cost him jobs, but then with money in hand he tries to look like a big shot (buying strangers drinks) in bars. Harder to do when supporting a teenage girl.

Well, that's all my news for today.

Phooey. I'm not going anywhere today. My foot flared up. I really don't need the aggregation of aggravating the pain. I'll get my exercise from moving around the house again. 🙄

Another brush fire has started just beyond the other one which still has hot spots. The wind is blowing quite hard so that's not good at all!

Nothing much planned for me today other then not doing much.
