Darla, I was told a protein rich meal before chemo helps. I was having more protein beforehand, too, knowing that bones, teeth, and hair are damaged by chemo. But some starchy foods do go well with the proteins. I didn't see a Cancer Diet, though there are lists of a lot of foods to make up your own diet with. You certainly don't want to skip eating any meals while dealing with this. There's lists for needed to gain weight as well as lose weight, and a number of other lists as well.

In "Chemo Class" I was given a tote bag full of books, Cancer magazine, and papers that explain every aspect of chemo and cancers. (I have yet to get through all the information.). It was put together by a nurse who had cancer and survived it .....and discovered how many other patients needed access to that information.

Jo wish I could remember the name of the magazine but since I really don't pay attention when I grab one in the waiting room, just something to thumb through and read to while away the time. sometimes I've read all the new things they have already and so grab something older out of the little basket. My Dr only has health magazines in his waiting room, no "people" or "popular machanics" type things. guess he figures that if there are none of those people will read up on stuff about their health.
