    Good mid-morning .

no one here yet.. .. I feel lonely

we had 2" snow overnight ... I think I will look in my journals. because this seems like a familiar date for snow just about every year.

it will all be gone, shortly. . warming up and bright sunshine..

To those having trouble getting in to RT... Nightstorm and Kim know and He will be working on it as soon as he understands the problem..
It will get fixed.!..we have the best techs..
Take it one Day , one step, at a time.. cause that's all we really have.

I didn't get to sleep until almost morning so have slept in a bit....very surprised to see no one here but me and Maye. Yesterday was so windy I needed to be carrying landscape blocks to keep my feet on the ground. We are doing some landscaping on the outside by the kitchen patio. We bought a fireplace kit that will be delivered Tuesday and should be easy to assemble. The kids last summer wanted to roast hot dogs and marshmellows and some nights it was 10:00 and the fire felt nice. We needed a new little wok type thing but this fireplace just looked so much nicer. A heck of a lot more expensive too so they better make plenty of fires! Today is opening day for baseball and a hockey game this evening. I get a double header today...baseball and hockey. Wind has let up so maybe it will be warmer. Hope you all have enjoyed sleeping in.

          Morning all

Just finished breakfast and about to get Chris out the door to his 2nd job. Erin is still snoozing.

Yesterday was, what can I say? the most awful day at my job ever. Super busy and the cleaning people just couldn't keep up. Had a man come into the office, very disgruntled, and take his spite out on me. Ended up calling our manager and having him handle it. I came home and flopped on the couch and had a good cry.

Chris came home and we cooked supper together and that seemed to lighten my mood considerably.

Today is my day off - lots to do. Must make a Wal-Mart run and get some laundry and chores done.

I hope your day is sparkling!
The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

Good SUNNY Morning! Yes, we have a nice covering of snow & it's not melting yet. It is downright frigid out there.

Yesterday was a mixed day of emotions. I started stressing about the concession stand thing. Got there and made several trips to unload everything. Fortunately a couple of the older boys who weren't playing yet offered to help. The wind was whipping horribly, so we didn't use the tent. Had trash cans fly at us. Napkins fly away a few times. The president of the league came and talked to me & thanked us for coming. I told him it may be my first & LAST time. I told him and just couldn't handle toting everything from the parking lot down to the concession stands. That IF I could have driven my car down, it would have been much better. He ask why I didn't. I told him that Sallie said I wasn't allowed. I was. She's new to the board & didn't know. I also said I didn't have help for a couple of weeks and couldn't do it all by myself. He's getting me some volunteers. Guess you just have to talk to the right person and they were grateful that I was there to service them. We kept an eye on the weather and packed up fast and was out of there by 4:45pm because rain was coming and we had no cover. My brother Ray called later in the evening to check to see how it went, and he's going to help my this next Saturday. Now that I've got the first one under my belt and can drive my car to the set up area, I'm willing to continue doing it. It's every Saturday in April and then June 4th. I thought I should be doing today 5-9 but when snow was in the forecast I told them there was NO WAY I was standing out in that. They understand completely.

This morning we went to church & SS. Now I'm making potato salad to take with me when we go play cards at my SIL's Mom's later this afternoon. I need to find some energy.

            Have a good one all!

Why does anyone think that " taking it out" fixes anything?! Not grammatically correct but you know what I mean.
My dad had a bunch of sayings I was raised with and ( right after, Sometimes silence is golden) was You can catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Forget about not wanting to catch a fly, I can't believe people think if they vent it will turn out well for them...
It will be a nice stay at home day here. Twice a year our church has world wide broadcast and it is available online and on byutv. And this is one of those Sunday's.
The dinner last night was very well attended. 40 tables set up, 8 chairs each, and pretty much all filled, as far as I could tell. Tri tip and chicken. Youth from the Nazarene church set up and served at the buffet, dinner was held in the huge ( regulation basketball) gym of the Assembly of God church, and awesome gift baskets from local businesses to raffle!
No baking for us. We both realized we are eating too many sweets, and not enough greens.
It is a beautiful quiet morning. No lawn mowers or other noise, yet.
Wishing you all a good day: no drama, no mishaps, No Snow!

Loved some of those old sayings. My dad would say, "A place for everything, and everything in its place", rather than 'pick up that mess'. One I couldn't quite figure was, "Children should be seen and not heard.......now go to your room and play." 😄
