    Good Morning!

John has had a case of "extreme pneumonia," as the doctor phrased it. This morning will be his third trip for injections. He is responding, but it has sure taken a toll on him.
Last night he was in the pantry looking for food, so I think he finally got his appetite back just a bit. Our nephew has been taking him each day. I have stayed at home and manned the phone.

Other than that, nothing going on in this neck of the woods.

Weather here is cooling off, but it has certainly been a mild 2016 so far.

    Have a good day, Everyone.

Good RAINY Morning. Blah! Yesterday was gorgeous though. I got through the night without bottoming out!!!!! I didn't take the Metforman pill like I normally do.

Yesterday was good. Went to town & picked up some groceries & some other needed items. Cooked a nice roasted chicken dinner. Got all the laundry done. Finally started feeling normal around 4pm, which put a smile on my face.

Today is cooking day for my cousin. Not sure what else I'll get into.

    Have a good one all!

      Good morning.
It's 27° outside right now, going to 53, it says. The sun isn't yet up, though.
I did post about my doctor appointment yesterday afternoon. My cramps aren't totally gone, but they have lessened, thank goodness.
So today I plan to get through a few chores that need doing. Am sending E to the gym and wherever else he likes to go rather than being underfoot.
I'm also preparing a corner to put our treadmill in when it arrives. I hate the gym, it's not at all what it was when we started there, and the ropes and pulleys they now have are painful to use.
So not much else happening today.

Elaine, I hope that John shakes this pneumonia quickly.
Cookie, stay well please. That chicken dinner sounds good.

To all, have a great day.

Create a beautiful day wherever you go.

YUM! Roasted chicken dinner! Now that's what I want!

Nothing much going on here. My rental statements went quickly yesterday and the ACH payments to the owners worked beautifully! YAY ME!

I actually got an email from a board member saying she received her direct deposit and thanking me for implementing the program. (Can I get a raise now? )

So I'm off to run payroll and keep the troops happy.

        Y'all have a good 'un!
The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

          Good Morning ..

David slept well. and then I got some ,much needed, hours in a row, sleep also... the therapy lady had him down/up the stairs once and for a walk in a loop for 3 min.. and by evening he was feeling the effects . was tired!... maybe thats why he slept...

Elaine, John ,pneumonia?... I missed have missed an earlier post... I am amazed he's not in hospital!... make him take it easy for the next few months... at our "age".. the effects of pneumonia stick around for months... it took me nearly 6 months to get my energy back... keep a close eye on this dear gentleman!...

Donna ..good news.. good idea , the evening metforman might be too much ...sure wish that Dr. would have seen you sooner...called me fussy Aunt but don't mess around too long , what you are experiencing is Dangerous.... .yes, I do have a license to practice medicine...

Might take a chance and go for my pills at pharmacy.. pick book at library. leaving D. home alone.. because it is to be in high 40s. today then drop for later.

Hi to All... Hi Justy and Paula...
Take it one Day , one step, at a time.. cause that's all we really have.

Getting my hair cut today! I am one shaggy dog!! Yesterday my right knee started swelling and is still all puffed up this morning but, other than this haircut, nothing extremely pressing needs done today. I am not even worrying about feeding the crew...not that I even know how many will be here. Andrew didn;t know when he left if he would be back this afternoon and Sierra seems to just show up. Tonight will either be leftovers of McDs. I am so tired of cooking. It is like having to entertain them with something new every day. Cooking is a chore I have never ever liked and have never been particularly good at yet my table is surrounded by people every evening holding forks. Gloomy again this morning and not sure of temps...furnace is running so must be cool or cooler or maybe cold. Need to leave here in a hour so best get moving. Have a great Wednesday all!

Good morning....Heading out to run earrands on the bus...I need to pick up a special type of colored pencils for my granny...I found them and love them and I think she may like to try them...I have coupon making them around 3 dollars....Also headed for the dollar tree to make my own version of a chemo care kit for my mama....I decided that I would do something different each week for her during the 12 weeks she is in chemo...last week was a card..this week I sent money and had my uncle get mom roses...he added some of his own cash and she got 1 dozen red roses...next week is the care package that I will give her when she is here on Friday...then I am coming home to kill dust bunnies with the vaccum hose attachment

Good morning, all. Icy 21º here this AM. Lily didn't want to go out as all she wanted was her breakfast and another nap She's snoozing on the back of the love seat.
Made my split pea soup and corn bread for my dinner. Now i will have toasted corn bread for my breakfast and the rest will go into the freezer to make stuffing. Roast chicken sounds so good but a whole chicken is a lot of chicken for 1 person and a doglet. I might get a Cornish Hen for us.
Lily would rather have chicken than anything but I don't give it to her often or she won't eat her kibble or canned food.
I really should have gone shopping on Monday but I felt awful for some unknown reason so I canceled and now Ada can't take me until Saturday.. Wish I had her energy as she is on the go all the time. Of course I was almost 14 when she was born so those years make a difference.

Absolutely have to do laundry today. Kitchen needs mopped. Can't find my maid so I guess I'll have to do it myself.

Ladyebug, try to keep John from overdoing. Like Maye said, we don't handle pneumonia well at our age.

Beth, I think it's very nice what you're doing for your mom.

Have a good one everybody and stay warm.

What a wonderful idea, Beth! Would you post what you put in the basket? I have a friend who will be starting chemo and I want to do something like that. Unfortunately her treatment is to prolong her life...her dr. said they will not "win this war." But without the chemo her time will be measured in weeks.
Pat, you are certainly making a difference in that office. Yay, You!
Elaine, I am not sure what supplements you guys take, but I take a good probiotic ( refrigerated and purchased in the pharmacy but no Rx needed) and I got a pneumonia shot...I am putting John's name on the Prayer Roll. I put David's there.
If you have Facebook, I have a video up of my grandson Owen, (WA) who turned 10 yesterday. He and his dad, Stuart, set up a ton of dominoes that start on their kitchen island, cross a bridge they made to the counter and then cross the high chair, flip down to the floor and continue on. Pretty impressive!
I am still going through my check book and bank statements for tax stuff.
I need to get going. The baby and his sister are here, and our partly cloudy day has lightened up.
Oh, my oldest niece in Fl. Just messaged me: her awesome boyfriend proposed! This wedding will be in Florida. Not sure if it will be in Tampa where she lives ( she is a cellist and music teacher), or in Merritt Island where her parents live. So I better start saving for a trip!

                    Aloha all!

Elaine I agree with Maye and Barb. Pneumonia can be dangerous in someone our age.

Running late and must get ready for breakfast.

                    Have a good day all!
