Morning all Feeling much better today - headache is gone, but my left ear is completely stopped up and I'm having problems hearing. Must eat something and take some kind of decongestant.

Long day at work today - the bank STILL hasn't got the ACH problems straightened out, so I will have to UNCHECK all of the boxes meant for direct deposit BEFORE I run the statement program and will have to print checks now. I have put this off waiting on them as long as I dare. Owners will be SCREAMING for their money early next week.

Unlocked the office only to find someone had left the coffee pot on and it was *almost* burned. Looked like used motor oil in the bottom. Got that cleaned up and have coffee going now.

So I'm off to get busy doing my statements. I hope your day is SUPER SPARKLY! Y'all have a good 'un!

I am happy to announce that I finally have a resolution I can keep: Never again will I save plastic containers that butter, sour cream, EVERYTHING comes in.
No more taking lids off in the refrig to discover what's inside. I cleaned out all of my storage places this morning. I'm free!
I bought some push pans from HSN and even found a place for them.
Of course, it's like a jigsaw puzzle, but it works.

Elaine,, the plastic containers that I reuse have labels or black marker with new contents.. on them.. no peeking necessary.Keep the medium sized ones downstairs. and use to send food items home with people.. no returning dishes needed that way.. and don't you get me started on cleaning out stuff.. I have 4 new jigsaw puzzles to build in Jan and Feb.. looks like I will have the time while David recuperates ...

Good morning everyone.

Will venture out again today. The first stop will be at the rental agency to ask Marie about directions to the International Airport. Got a call last night that my brother is in the hospital and not doing well at all. He's been going "down hill" since last July.

After that stop it will be on to Wally World to pick up some "unnecessary" items, but ones that I want. What would we do,or better yet, what did we do before Mr. "Walmart"?

Best get my shower and breakfast so I can get my "busy" day started. Everyone have a great day.

Good morning...only got about 3 hours of sleep last night...hot again....woke up once choking and could not get my breath at all...it was a horrible feeling...got up and covered myself in vics and finally fell to sleep...

Today I must take the bus to walgreens...need to exchange some vitamins for the right ones...Must also print out some pictures...

Good morning.
The cold weather will be with us a while longer. Some rain cloud might spit at us today...a slight chance, anyway. Apparently a fourth storm center heading our way.

Have to rethink our window dressings. The blinds came down yesterday, leaving a bit of a mess. Not sure I want those blinds up again.
Today I must get the laundry done. Also have medical appts to get in order, and make the calls for them.

First off, like sassy's cat, I need my coffee this morning. Thanks, sassy.

I'm thinking f spaghetti for supper today. Comfort food.
I've also been craving baked rice pudding. E won't even try it, so it's just more for me! I have leftover applesauce I can throw into it, and I use lots of cinnamon. Yummy!

Jostoy, I'm sorry your brother isn't doing well.
Before "Mr. Walmart", I think we had "dime stores"like Kresge's and Woolworth's", didn't we? I used to love shopping there. I miss the old soda fountains, sometimes, but today's similar stores do have Snack Bars. 😄 Thanks for asking, I just enjoyed those old memories.

Well, I gotta get my day started, too.

Good morning, all. Clear and icy this morning which means we should be sunny today. No rain was predicted for yesterday afternoon but it rained a bit anyway. I had seen threatening clouds off to the north earlier.
Had to take Lily out as soon as we got up but all she did was run to the nearest spot of dirt, tinkled, and came right back in. If we weren't all bundled up she would have wanted to go for a short walk. Everyone seems to like her little pink argyle sweater. Don't know where it came from as I had never seen it until we moved. Probably a gift at sometime. Nice heavy one, not those flimsy ones that are sold at WM.
Slept all night without even a bathroom break. Night before, I could not get to sleep or if I dozed off I woke up a short time later and then couldn't get back to sleep. I never drink coffee in the afternoon and if I do drink it during the day it's always around 10:00. Didn't even haave that yesterday. Seems like this happens about once a week. Very confusing.

Anyway, the screen just turned dark grey and the only way I could get it to come back was to go out and then come back. Thanks to the restore feature, this was the only thing more left to say. Be well everyone and don't get too cold.

Good Morning! Saw the sunrise, but the clouds hurried in to cover that all up.

Yesterday wasn't too productive. I did do a little bit of paperwork and a little bit of cleaning. Cooked a nice dinner. My SIL stopped in while waiting for my Mom to meet her her to go up to the college & take her daughter to the eye doctor. She ask Becca if she wanted to go along too, so Becca dressed quick & was out the door with them. So it was just the 3 of us for a nice quiet dinner....ahhhhhh. Kathy FINALLY showed up with my cell phone that she was borrowing "for the night" over a week ago. While here her friends called & back out to Ohio she went for another week. I think she's been in Columbus, OH area 5 out of 7 weeks. Whatever. Told her about getting her new drivers licience so that she could get her car registered & inspected for PA and that she needed to WORK to pay for it all...that went in one ear & out the other. Whatever. If she gets a ticket, it's on her dime, and if she gets arrested, of well. Mom, Sherry, Becca, and I played cards once they got back until 9pm....nice!

This morning I had to go into the Welfare office to take paperwork for health insurance. I reapplied for our Market Place insurance and was told we may qualify for a medical card due to Corky being very under employed at this time. I'm VERY willing to pay our premium. I don't want to change insurances AGAIN. So today I took in copies of his pay stubs from the last 5 weeks. Now I'm home & baking a birthday cake that's been ordered for tomorrow for someones 50th birthday party. My cousin's daughter Missy & her family may be coming for a visit again this afternoon. Nothing else planned. There is ALWAYS more paperwork ready for attention, especially sorting the box of tax receipts & papers. I think it's semi sorted because at one point before the move I was searching for something.

Good Morning. Cold and rainy here. Went to the store yesterday found that Ruler Foods are much cheaper than Aldi's on some things we buy all the time. Kenny likes coco krispies and I did get him to try the generic, anyhow the generic are .20 cheaper at Ruler (but figured the gas and since we were at aldi's, it worked out to about the same price. Anyhow was putting stuff away and the Ruler box that was there was bigger, looked and it is actually 4oz bigger so looks like I need to make note as to what to get from each store and go to each on different days.

Finally made it here. Had to reset my password because the old one wasn't working. Probably something I was or wasn't doing. :-) Doing laundry today. It's showering off and on. Suppose to turn to snow and have 2 - 4" tomorrow. Should make Kim happy. She loves the snow. I'm doing laundry today. Not sure I'm ambitious enough to do much else. Hope everyone's day is going well.

Happy Friday Afternoon! Yesterday evening we finally had heat! But the tech who came had not very much good to say about the work the installers did and even said they had done something wrong. It has been stressful enough deciding to make such a huge purchase, and now I am second guessing my choice of this company...but it does feel great to have nice, quiet heat and no space heaters going.
I made a big roast pan of Million Dollar Spaghetti for the shelter dinner tonight. Becky told me the shelter manager said the word is going around it's Becky's mom bringing the food. We make sure to have enough for seconds. And on Saturday when Becky volunteers, we send dessert.
Nalani, good to read your post. I missed hearing what was going on during our "break."
It is sunny here today and we are loving it. 50*F.
