Hello~ ~ ~ ~

Had lots of help getting out of bed this morning. The cat jumped on the bed, nephew arrived to deer hunt, and the feed truck arrived with a load. Thank you, one and All!

Wish I had something exciting or even interesting to talk about. Unfortunately, I don't.

I am still watching too many news shows and drowning in the horror of these human beings who can get married, have a baby, and 6 months later shoot down people they know. What happens to the heart and soul in these killers? I will say, watching this mystery unravel is fascinating. Maybe I need to start reading mysteries.

Jo, wish you had taken a photo of Ellis and the lids. I could use a good laugh.
Pat, there is so much mystery surrounding your life. Fascinating stuff.
Janet, shopping online is too easy for me. I really have to watch myself.
Barb, hope you can get help for your back without surgery. Saw a cute photo on FB of someone's child who had a portrait taken, and the caption read, "I don't know what happened to his hair after I dropped him off at daycare?"
Donna, you know those roses we are supposed to stop and smell? Slow down, girl!
Sassy, hope we get a cat today. Love cats.

Good morning never made it hear yesterday...My sis sent me a text late Wednesday evening that she or her husband needed to take me to voluteer early..then I managed to over sleep...oops...

Today is my annual shopping day with cousins and my mom and sis...I will extremely glad to see my mom...

I am in a bit of a rush...I fell to sleep last night with out putting my laundry away and loading the dish washer...

Happy Friday to all! Somehow it has worked out that I have EVERY weekend in December OFF! YAY!

Taking Erin to get a haircut tomorrow and that is my entire weekend plan. Otherwise it's R&R for me. Chris, of course, has to work all weekend.

We are meeting a former co-worker of Chris's tonight for dinner at TGIFriday's. Should be fun.

More coffee and off to get this office cranked up. Y'all have a good 'un!

Good morning, all. Rain is gone and it's down to 32º already but no frost. Lily has already been out, taken care of her business, had breakfast of canned food, and her morning treat. She wasn't eating the canned food so I have been just giving her kibble but this morning she wanted the wet food.

Dr. gave me a stronger pain med yesterday but they made me wake up with my mouth tasting bad. I have to go for an X-Ray but I wanted to go grocery shopping and then get home. Used the electric cart in the store as I had a lot of things to buy. I didn't stock up a whole lot last month and I was out of a lot of things. Carla is very good about getting things down from the high shelves and out of the freezer.

About ordering on line I do it a lot. I hate clothes shopping so I get them through the mail. Yesterday I ordered a pretty blouse that I saw. I like pretty things and sometimes I just have to have something that I won't get a lot of use out of. I will probably wear it for the Christmas potluck and to family dinner.
Kare brought me a Poinsettia yesterday for my birthday and later posted on FB that she is planning Christmas dinner. I'm planning a pecan pie as GD Kait had asked for one at Thanksgiving but I didn't see her post until afterward.

excuse me, have to stop , call the dr. office to get Dr to sign off on David's prescription ...and make arrangements to pick it up this afternoon..
Being the only driver is getting to be a "pain in the Butt"....

back again, this will be the fourth trip to town in 5 days... agggggg... so I must get done this forenoon what needs to be done. ..

Sassyg. you gave me a jolt when I saw kitty this morning .. This IS Friday , isn't it?. this little elderly lady has trouble keeping the days straight.. or are we having two Fridays this week?>> ummmm.. could be. pretty kitty face !.

Shopping online is the way that I did the largest portion of my Christmas shopping this year...I think that I actually only will have to buy one gift in store...and that will happen today while my sister and I are shopping together.

Good morning, everyone.
Yesterday I did 4 loads of laundry! Then I wrapped all the baby shower gifts and put them in that colorful container I mentioned the other day; I wove some pink raffia across the top to keep it all from coming out in an accidental spill; then I made a weird bow out of a flexible plastic tube ribbon to top it all. Today I need to wrap stray small gifts for families, and make notes on who in each family didn't get stocking stuffers.
But this afternoon we are going to Costco where I'll be checked for new glasses. My current ones don't seem adequate, and that optometrist had them made twice. It's not the first time that has happened.

We did go see the play at Gaslight Theater last evening. I managed to get good seats, but had to take a later time. December is a difficult time to get just what you want. Anyway, we recognized the play's name, seen in previous years, so didn't expect much. But they had more new cast members, and they put a whole new spin on the story. Had E run to the office and pick up the list of the 2016 shows, and every one is brand new! Am looking forward to that!!!

Elaine, I didn't go with E to the doctor yesterday. He took his "props" in a tote, prepared himself in the hospital bathroom when he got there, then had his magnets ready to pop on when he was talking with staff/doctor. He's a natural entertainer, I think.

Sassy, keep those cars coming! Thank you so much. Cats really make my day. Love 'em!

Had a post all written out and, poof, it is gone. Poof seems to be the story of my life. Last night my back screamed through Drew's Christmas program. I hope this is his last because they are so painful for him. Mother had him in his new shirt and he looked so cute in his elf hat and he even sang but this is not his thing. And other peoples kids are so annoying into the attention but that may be my Scrooge side showing. However, I do hope this is his last program and not for the sake of my aching back but for his. The kid hates that stuff. Tonight I think we will go to Sierra's McD's for supper and then over for the hometown tree lighting ceremony. They are going to put the tree from my early married years back on Main Street. They stopped doing that when my boys were little because someone hit it every year. Maybe some nostalgia will put me back into the Christmas Spirit. Finished most of the shopping yesterday and Sierra was very pleasant at dinner and then at the program. We drove separately since she went home from the program but led me through the maze of the parking lot and onto the highway. Lots to do today and the sun is shining and suppose to warm to the 50s this afternoon. I need a good and hard shot of Christmas Spirit here...to many motions to go through without enjoying it.

Good SUNNY Morning! Love it!!!! Yesterday was cold & dreary then entire day....blah!

Yesterday was busy but not productive. Blaise had a good dentist appointment...he's going to need braces down the road...figures. Since he was so good, I took him to McD's so he could get a happy meal with a Pokemon toy & card. Man have the HM gotten expensive....over $4 with tax. Got my cookie orders organized & went through my recipes getting what I need to make organized. Ran out of eggs, so had to run to town for some of those. Got 6 kinds mixed up and rolled 3 kinds into the 1" balls while watching TV....love that new show Code Black. Kathy & a friend stopped by for a couple hours and I was telling them how my Fire Stick/Netflix wasn't working on my TV and I had neither the time nor energy to deal with it. When Kathy tried using the WiFi with her friend's phone, it didn't work. Here the friend just said the router needed reset & by golly it worked....YEA!!!!! We love Netflix.

This morning I got Blaise on the bus and headed to Stovers to pick up big baking supplies...50lbs of shortening, 8lbs of sanding sugar, etc. Now I'm rolling and baking cookies. Got finished icing those 36 doz sugar cookies & that still wasn't enough, so I'm baking 20 more dozen. My goal is to be done baking by the end of next week. There are no roses to smell, so no stopping to smell any. LOL!!! I way more pooped than I was 5 years ago doing this.

Pat....I never knew you were adopted....tell your story. My girls have special stories about their adoptions.

Elaine, that is one of my worst fears: child with scissors givingbthemself a haircut at daycare...it has never happened in all these year, but one or two have taken a snip to their shirt! And that's so quick because I am Always at the table with them when preschoolers have scissors.
I shop online and then feel like I need to apologize to the UPS driver!

Aloha all!

The kid with scissors cutting hair reminded me of something I did when I was a kid. My mother had given me a beautiful Shirley Temple doll with beautiful golden curls. I promptly cut all her hair off thinking it would grow back. My mom was none too happy with me.

My project for this weekend is to get my cards and Christmas doings organized. It is a beautiful day out. Sunny and warm so kinda hard to do.
