What is this? I didn't sleep well either and like John ended up sleeping in my recliner. But Bim's colonoscopy went well and I took him to Ihop for pancakes which is what he wanted.

Wellll....I made it back home, finally.
We gave ourselves an hour to get there....traffic was kind, and we arrived at the Cancer Center a half hour early (for my early check-in time, that is). Got signed in in just minutes. 5 receptionists, no waiting, almost. 😉
Plenty of time before my lab work, then? Or was it because we went to the Cafe first.....the minute I sat down with E, my buzzer went off...the lab called me in early. Unheard of. Got back to the cafe and my mocha had cooled down. Tasted better piping hot. So E & I took our drinks to the appropriate waiting room. An hour's wait ahead of us. An hour and 15 minutes later I get buzzed to get my stats taken...that killed about 10 minutes. Poor nurse looked really beat. Another hour passed before they had an open exam room for me. So I waited in the exam room another 30 minutes. Aren't iPads handy for these moments? The doctor's head nurse came in, read my lab report to me, all looked good, except PT/INR. (But I missed taking my pill a few nights ago....doesn't often happen. So that rides for 2 weeks and I get poked again.). She and I made a lot of progress talking about everything I needed to.
So when I made my next appointment, I made sure it was with her again! Yeah!!! 👍

Do I dare say Good morning? BarbCA and I are the only ones who are happy to wake up to rain!
And like I said, it didn't rain on my way in to church, so no struggle with my umbrella and no hair issues.
I have chicken in the crock pot, potatoes on the stove for "funeral potatoes". A cooked, then shredded, and mixed with sour cream, cream of chicken soup and Butter. Crunchy stuff on top and just a yummy side dish!
Our church youth are decorating boxes tomorrow for Thanksgiving food boxes. I am printing pictures to color to decorate the boxes and also donating autumn leaves to glue on. So I am gathering things today like scissors, glue, crayons and markers and filling a box to have all the supplies...I hate last minute running around to find things!

Good morning again.
Hey - I didn't say I was unhappy this morning. Just that I awoke uber-early and couldn't get back to sleep. I don't stress about what I can't control. But I did get 2 more hours' sleep, and didn't have to rush getting dressed. Had my dry cereal and an nursing my hot tea now,

Those of you tired of rain, send it here any time! We can *always!* use it.

Well, I just woke E up.... He drives me everywhere. 😀
Today I see my oncologist...or more likely, his head nurse. Routine thing. I really don't like the oncologist himself very much, but he has the credentials I need, ICE.
On Friday I go for the last of the heart tests. Stress ans Echo. Fasting. Yeah, first thing in the afternoon. But they couldn't get me a better appointment (earlier in the day) before my next appointment in January with THAT doctor. But I really like this doctor a lot, the PCP, so won't grumble a bit.

E finally got all the Halloween stuff out of the house, so when I return today, I will start straightening dusting etc., the room. Our X-SIL should be coming by this week, maybe next, to pick up our loveseat (short couch) for her new little apartment. He's helping her move all her stuff. Her current hubby is not in the picture these days, didn't even send her support $ for his teenage daughter, and so she hesitantly asked for $-help (she hates to borrow). They have been living with her son; she lost her house, thanks to her husband. (She won't divorce him before their daughter graduates, anyway. He's a trucker now, and who knows where he lives!). But her X has been a big help to her, he has grown up and become a nice guy. Won't remarry, but keeps hoping he will win her back.
Talk about DRAMA, cookie! LOL.

Temps should make another big drop into the 60's tomorrow, nights back in the 30's again. Yo-yo temperatures. I've got a nice thin sweatshirt on today, with a light microfiber-lined jacket in case I need it.
Didn't look today, but today should reach the mid-70's again. The highs are for just 2-3 hours in the afternoon, so it's layering-clothes season.

Brownies sound good, Beth. I want to bake in the afternoons so the house feels more snuggle-warm at night. I happen to have a brownie mix. And half a can of frosting and chocolate chips to turn into EZ fudge to pour on top!

Hope the day gets better for everyone who have the grouchiest today. 😄

Haircut and bank day for me so that means a trip home. Going to return the curtains I bought last week and have another look in mind. Need to do that tomorrow cuz Drew will be here from Wednesday on this week. Sierra is either working or has study group all week so going to be just me and the little boy. Saturday he woke me up to say we need milk and since I was going to the store some other stuff too. Then he called while I was in the store. Suppose to be stormy here Wednesday but for today it is bright and sunny. Changes are coming because I woke with a headache carry over from yesterday. All the leaf burning may be a contributing factor also. Time to head out and start my running. Hope John is better soon. Happy Monday to all!

Good morning, all. Are we all having Monday blues? I'm not cranky but I woke up feeling tired after a full night's sleep. I could have slept longer but Lily decided that it was time to get up.
It started to rain late yesterday afternoon and was still raining when I went to bed. Has stopped for now but more is expected around noon.

Hope I'm not coming down with something but I woke with a runny nose and sniffles yesterday along with a sinus headache. At least I'm not sneezing.
Still haven't got my laundry done but it is sorted.

My thoughts are with you Elaine. Hoping John recovers soon.

You all have a great day. I used to hate winter but right now I'm enjoying the rain that has become such a rarity around here.

Morning...I still have house guest until atleast tomarrow morning or that is what I hope and pray....I hate the reason they are staying...My daddy's blood pressure is too high to travel..so I am praying that the blood pressure is down in the morning and plan to enjoy the company...I have errands to run while I have a ride... This evening my dad sis and youngest niece are going to the movies...my oldest niece is coming over but will go to her friends for a while...after the movie everyone is coming back here for supper mom and I will go together and get the stuff to cook...I am going to cook dinner...we are having spagetti..garlic bread...salad...and warm brownies and ice cream. I also need to make a treat for the volunteer site for tommarow..I think that I am going to make brownies in a throw away pan.

had a good day yesterday... holding baby Logan..for 1/2 hour..he is a big healthy boy.., and Ian and Kristen are doing great as parents......got to see the college girl Hannah.. hopefully comforted her a bit.. and sister Bethany, got her braces off ,, all done. and she looks stunning ..( a grandmothers opinion of course)..
it was also a sunny 50ish day .. but .... the temperature dropped in the night.. heavy frost.. will need to wear winter coat to Walmart today.. yck

Elaine, I sure hope John takes an upturn in health pretty darn soon...

Well today the leaves I put on the garden get tilled under. They make good fertilizer...they ??? say

Tomorrow is another trip to Vincennes to see the back specialist. No injection though until Dec. so it will last, I hope, until I get back from my southern winter accommodations. I hope this good weather holds out through Dec.

Hello Group......NO Good Morning here either........has rained steady for the past 4 days......enough to drive a person to drink - so, I am. The usual De-caf that fools me into thinking I'm having coffee.

Am a grumpy old woman this morn. Have errands to run and a few more outside chores to be done......can't do them till this blessed rain stops. Would much rather be sitting by the fireplace in my Illinois snow.

OK....will take my whiney old self and get on with the day. Take care now.

Speaking of not sleeping, John tried to go to bed at midnight but could not lie without strangling, so he got in his recliner and I covered him with a blanket. He did sleep a little, but everytime he coughed, I woke up, so I have not had much sleep, either.

Need to get out of here in about 45 minutes, so will sign off and check back later.
