Good dreary morning! Cold and damp here.

John is still coughing, so we won't be going to church. I have the bulletins ready and will take them before everyone arrives.

Is it just me? I tried to watch SNL with Trump last night, and the humor is beyond silly to me. I did laugh whe the president of Mexico presented him a check for the wall.

A crisp morning out there with a temp of 30. Won't bother me though...Church then home after the Veteran's Memorial Service at the Cemetery.

Good morning I am up way to early on a Sunday morning....I have the washer loaded and ready to start once everyone has had their showers...My parents are here until atleast noon on Monday... I had an awesome weekend...went to my parents on Friday...got to see a lot of my friends Friday evening...Got to surprise my best friend...she didn't know that I was coming to town. We were so glad to see each other that was probably the best part of the week for me! I went with my mom to a baby shower for a family friend yesterday...then we came back to MO last night...this morning we are going to my sisters for breakfast at 8. She is making biscuts and gravy I am super excited about Biscuts and gravy...I have been hungry for it for awhile...then at around 11 we all are going to church together as a family...another favorite thing of mine. Who knows what this afternoon and evening will hold...hopefully a nap in their some place and pizza this evening.

Elaine, has John seen a doctor about that cough? I can tell you my virus had me coughing for 3 weeks. E's was about the same. My brother's Doctor put him on Coricidin (sp?), which is OTC now, and he gave me some of his as he had gotten over it with that. I didn't need the full dosage, as one pill a day for 3 days knocked it out of me...without side effects. Worth asking the doctor about.
Also, Cēpacol makes a hydrating throat losenge, it's a nice lime-like flavor. Really reduces throat irritation. Just a thought.

up early... make an apple pie.. going to visit with Grandson,wife and the Great ,grandson .. whom we have not seen in the three weeks since his birth... was letting Kristen recover.. as there were lots of other company... .
made a huge pot of veg. soup.yesterday.. . was going to take to Kristen/Ian's but they were making Veg soup too...

JoG. wrote down the Cepacol .. David needs something like every night at bedtime.. his mouth ,throat dry out so badly at night.. ( must be because of the insulin shot he takes just prior to going to bed)..

Beth .. ah , what a nice weekend for you.... now,, when you get home... make yourself be Content in your new setting .. God has you there for a Reason...

Donna has had a great weekend with her friend Maureen.. but I bet she is dead tired ..if you read this, tell Mo, tell her it was a joy to meet her.

this after noon when we get home, I will take the various , ( and there is a stack of them) ins. books. information .and do a comparison .. make decision which plan to go with this year... the Premiums have come , unbelievable , Down on what we have and what we are interested in.. that will compensate a bit on the fact that the seniors get stuck again.. no increase in our checks . not even a couple dollars ... but I will bet the guys in DC got a raise.!!!!!.... their motto,, if you need money for something , take it out of the Social security account... oops, put the soap box away. !

Good SUNNY Morning! It's a cold one of there though. BRRR!!!

My friend Maureen left this morning right before we left for church. She wanted to get on the road early because she's got lots to do at home before the work week starts again tomorrow.

Mo arrived around 6pm on Thursday and after dinner we started right in on some apples. We cooked & ground up enough to start a batch of apple butter. Unfortunately the small roaster full burned through the night. Mo got up around 5:30am to stir it & scooped out the center part that was OK and put it into the large roaster full. We canned that first thing when we got up. We cooked, ground, and canned lots of apple sauce and even had enough to make another large roaster full of apple butter. We started it late afternoon and put in on real low for the night. It was perfect Saturday morning.

Friday Aunt J came over mid afternoon and finally her & Mo got to meet. They've both heard about the other for well over 20 years but never met. It was nice two of my favorite people in the world got to meet each other. Around 6:30 we finally cleaned up and I took Mo out for her birthday dinner at the restaurant just down the road from us. We had a wonderful dinner and a great time together. Her BD "cake" was pumpkin roll and she dove into that.

Yesterday we got up and canned the apple butter, cleaned up a bit, and then headed north to go visit Becca and take her out for lunch and shopping. Got Becca back in time to go to work at 3pm and we came home after stopping at WM to pick up a few needed supplies and stuff for dinner. I cooked dinner because we felt guilty about leaving him while we went out eating. Kathy showed up for dinner Thursday and Saturday. Hate to be mean, but we actually think she was waiting for Maureen to give her some $$ as a Christmas gift. Mo has always given the girls Christmas gifts since they were babies, but the last couple of years she hasn't given Kathy anything, but then again Maureen hasn't come the last 2 years to do applesauce due to family situations. So Kathy didn't think much about it. Maureen has sent Becca money and Kathy didn't know it. She knew we were going to take Becca out & that Maureen would be taking Becca shopping, which she did. Mo had a great time buying Becca clothes. Mo is a very generous & kind person. It's that we don't expect it and really watch what we say because she does love buying & treating. Anyways, Kathy left both times w/o Aunt Mo giving her anything. She's fallen out of Mo's good graces.

Morning all It's POURING rain here and supposed to cool down dramatically this evening. Yesterday it was almost 90 degrees!

I made a pot of hamburger veggie soup yesterday too. We ate it for supper yesterday and will have it again this evening. Sure is good.

Made breakfast and am about to get Chris out the door for his weekend job. I'll do some house cleaning today since I put it off yesterday. Am supposed to take Erin to get her hair cut, but with this weather, it's doubtful.

"Here Comes the Rain Again". Yes, it's expected to start late today. Feels good to see the rains arriving as they are expected to. Rain, clear, rain, clear. This one is expected to last 2 or 3 days. Another storm due in Friday. We are Grateful for all of it.

Didn't get much done yesterday. Sometimes it all gets away from me. I did make a Key Lime pie just because I like it and the ones in the store freezer are awful.

I'm hoping that John's cough goes away real soon.

It is raining here! It stopped on my way to church, so no umbrella needed and I didn't care After church. It has been raining off and on.
I had to be to church much earlier for a planning meeting, so I did not have time even to read your posts this morning.
Kind of relaxing, reading and planning holiday stuff with the help of Pinterest.

Rainy day stuff in WA. But it woke me up!

and I liked Maureen... a lot... and now I'm proud of her as a true friend to Donna, .. to know she is giving Kathy just the treatment she has earned..... and when she gets her act together , Aunt Mo will be
just as kind to her...... but for now .... Kathy must learn a hard lesson...its called maturity...

was a great day here.. we went to visit Great grand boy Logan.. so sweet!!. to hold a little one.. warm and cuddly.. but not little.. he is only 3 weeks old. weights about 10#.. sleeping 4-5hr at a stretch.. amazing... ..
