    Morning all

Was awakened at 3am by Chris grinding his teeth. Arrrrrgh! It's the most horrible sound EVER.

So I'm on my second cup of coffee and have dough in the bread machine for cinnamon rolls. Going to get my hair did this morning and will take some to all the girls.

Chris is working today and tomorrow, so I am left to my own devices. My big plan is to mop and clean. Big whoop-tee-doo. And watch football, of course. It's supposed to rain this afternoon and start cooling off (finally!) Yesterday it was almost 90 degrees!

Our housekeeping girl walked out this week at work, so yesterday I did laundry all day. She really left a mess. How does one leave a good job without having another to go to? Especially this time of year and she has no other marketable skills. It is beyond me.

Elaine - if you don't check in today I am sending out the WWP for you. Hope John is doing better.

    Y'all have a good 'un!

The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

    Hi Y'all! I am here.

We were under a tornado watchable Thursday night and had everything unplugged, even wifi. Woke at 6:30 and had to be out of the house by 7:30' so had no time.
This morning just a quiet rain.

John is still dealing with this terrible cough. It hurts me all over when he is sick. I'm still trying to stay away from him but it is nearly impossible. He wants some biscuits this morning, so I will have to get in the kitchen and breath his air. He never asks for anything, so whe he does, I am more than happy.

I just wish he would ask for cookies, cake, pie. Then I could share something really good - not interested at all in biscuits.

    Have a good day!!

      Good morning.

This morning is cooking, and this afternoon is chewing up leaves again. After today, I'll mulch the rest of the leaves. Not many left on the trees.

Have an enjoyable day, whatever you decide to do.
Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.

        Good Morning .

Elaine !. glad to see you.. was busy yesterday doing the doctor. pills. pharmacy , more blood work with David... ..this pcp Dr. got the report from Thurs lab work. which was meant for the neurologist eyes.. but they are all connected via computer system.. to D. records... so he saw that the B-12 was a little low. so HE ordered a thyroid blood work test. ......I tried to always check the weather map when you don't appear . but missed yesterdays tornado watch for you guys..

One good thing about pcp seeing the report . I ask about the test that would show beginnings of myasthenia Gravis.. and he said Nothing showing on that... so a piece of good news.. one thing crossed off as a possible cause of the double vision.

Got to meet Donna's dear Dr. friend Maureen.. she is so nice , those two ladies were up to their ear lobes in apples , cooking , grinding .stirring .. ( slopping )..canning .. .. but having a great time together ..

Pat . have fun... moping and cleaning. .. I have not run the sweeper anywhere this week.. But the bathrooms are clean and the kitchen sink, counter ,stove are clean... beds are made . laundry is being done... maybe get to some other spots later today.... or not......
Got all the ingredients ready to make pot of vegetable soup.. bones cooked, lovely bowl of broth. stew meat thawed. ready to cook.. and its getting cooler by the min.. sosoup sounds like a good plan..

be back later to check on the rest of you.

        Hi Justy!.

        Hi Paula. no kids today!.
Take it one Day , one step, at a time.. cause that's all we really have.

Good morning, all. Another sunny day here but rain is expected tomorrow night.

Have no idea what today will bring except the laundry that I have been putting off to long. Either that or go clothes shopping.

Yesterday I made Bolognese sauce. I think it is the best I ever made. Guess I did something right. Let it have a nice long simmer to blend the flavors, oh my, I think that's part of it and the fact that I had everything I wanted to put in it. No recipe. I winged it.
Used tri-color rotini for the pasta and topped with Parmesan cheese.
Now I'm thinking of beef and barley soup but will have to wait till I go shopping on Wednesday and get beef and freezer containers.

Maye, I'm glad to see that they didn't find Myasthenia Gravis.
Sounds like Cookie and her friend had a great time with apples. I love apple butter but haven't made any for several years. Joy made the last batch that we got from the apple tree.

See you all later. Gotta see if Bex posted anymore honeymoon pictures.

            I good morning.
Nothing much going on today, other than a few chores, getting stuff put away.
Yesterday I got a few things accomplished while E was at the Red Cross. Three loads of laundry, baked muffins, cleaned out the fridge where some containers had fuzzy evolving things in them. Made a soup of the shredded pork, veggies, and broth. It was really good.

E is pretty wiped out since yesterday. The Red Cross had to stick him 4-5 times to get the triple-platelets he normally donates. Took a few hours. Then a little while after he got home, his doctor called and said not to donate for another 15 weeks...he has a red count problem.

This morning I was awakened by my iPhone. GD & fiancé want to visit today. I told her it's a bad day with E feeling so wiped out, and we still have to get the Halloween stuff back into storage. Hate to turn her down, but waking us up to come visit is really short notice. I have nothing on hand to prepare for them, food wise, and E has to do something with the couple of areas here where his stuff is collecting and unsightly. I need to clean up the yard, as the winds keep blowing stuff around and also bring in neighbor's' paper trash.

            Pat, sorry about your housekeeper.
Elaine, I hope John gets over that soon.
Jostoy, I don't think yardwork is much fun. A necessary evil.
Hope David's doctors get him fixed up good.

Hope you all have a great day.

Good chilly morning! I went to the grocery store already. It is a baking day and we were down to the last pound of butter. Becky starts her volunteer schedule for the shelter this evening. She wants to take cookies or something when she goes.
It's 45* out now. I am glad I didn't check the temp when I decided to go out at 6:30 to the store!
My one load of laundry is in the washer now. My big goal is clearing my table. It becomes my office, desk, etc. even though we have an office...I was looking for a picture in my phone and came across one I had taken of spring decorations in the kitchen and now I want that all clean and uncluttered look! I need to figure out why I just make piles, and when am I going to use the stuff in the piles! Paper is my challenge!
I had a small peanut butter cookie during the Art Walk last night. So good! Soft and not the crunchy kind I make. I will be on a search.
              Have a good Saturday, everyone.
Elaine, hope John gets over this. Soon.
Maye, I got the whole daycare Cleaned up while waiting for the last mother who got off at 5:30. Her little girl was perfectly happy to help me. Mit is amazing how many kids are happy with a cleaning cloth in their hand! Usually my day is over by 4:45, so when this one mom has a later day, I try to find something to do to make it fun: books and crayons while I clean up. This time Haley wanted to clean, too
That Apple duo sounds like a great weekend. It must smell as good there as it does at Pat's!
Jo, tell E to take it easy. That is so admirable that he donates to the RC.
I gotta go look at that picture again to get motivated!

Paula, he has seen some of the people his platelets help, particularly the children, and is notified what hospitals/states receive them. He normally goes once or twice a month, but is developing a red count drop and so is taking iron for it now. For a couple days after his donations I don't require him to do much of anything.
Since I can't donate because of my blood dysfunctions on every level (red, white & platelets), I get my choice of his RC tee shirts to advertise for RD. (People really do take notice.)

OK. don't yell at me. It is still Saturday and it is not even that late. LOL I had a meeting this morning and my friend picked me up earlier than I expected. It was good though because I was able to go to Mass - something that I usually don't do on Saturday mornings any more.

I talked myself out of going to get my hair done today. It was supposed to be bad weather and I didn't want to chance it. Turns out that the sun is shining! I guess I will get my hair done on Monday. I HOPE the rain holds off like it did today!

Iwas abke to get my glasses fixed last night and the woman at Lenscrafters was very helpful and honest! She agreed that it would be silly to pay alm0st $200.00 for new lenses when the prescription was only a slight increase - and only for one eye. I agreed because I doubt I will need the glasses very much longer and my current lenses do fine for what I need right now. I cant use them for distance, but I do need them for reading.

I would have gotten this done sooner, but a friend brought me my mail and we talked for a while.

                    Have a great weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would have been here sooner but seem to run out of time with all these breathing treatments. Doing 3 with the nebulizer, 3 with the Trilogy machine and then wear it at night also. Here is a link of what the machine looks like.
