  • Eye hemorrages

JoG, I have had this happen to me twice.
First time I was riding in the truck with Dick when it hit. Saw the eye Dr. and was sent home with everything OK.
Next time I was shopping in the grocery store when the first blob showed up. Left my cart and immediately drove over to the office a few blocks away. This time the Dr. sealed it off with a laser. I had called Joy to tell her where I was, No I don't need a ride home. Ha! After the pocedure was over I called her to come get me as I was nearly blind for a short time. Even sun glasses didn't have much effect.
Have never had another and I think that was about 10 years ago.

Wow! You had quite a time of it. It must have been scary to be nearly blind.

(My DD had lazier corrective surgery years ago, and she felt nearly blind while healing, too. She was scared, but put up a good front. Oh, her surgery didn't work very well.)

Several people have told me of similar experiences, all with good outcomes and no returning hemorraging.
I'm glad to say the red has mostly drained, leaving just a light red so far. I can see without hinderance, anyway. My eye doc said its is beginning to turn yellow already. Got it examined again along with my checkup for glasses. This red eye is my "good" eye now, as the other has changed and is not as clear. It's now one line behind on the eye chart.
I will be seeing my retinal specialist in June, I get an annual check every year since I did have a retinal tear some years ago.

    Thanks for sharing, Barb.
