I start my new job Tuesday. I feel very blessed and am going to give it everything I've got to work until I cannot work anymore. I'll be a Sitter for one of the local hospitals, but we are actually working for ABM so we're under contract. So excited!

We got rain yesterday evening and the weather turned cooler fast.

Today I'll be shopping for khaki pants at Walmart for my new dress code. They provide the shirts. Have a good one.

    Good Morning.

    30 degrees here. C C C ccccold.

Had the most wonderful surprise yesterday. Lisa called. Oh I love to hear that English girl talk. Such a sweet thing for her to do.

We met our niece at the funeral home yesterday, and the next 3 days will be more of the same. Was so afraid of how John would react when he saw his nephew, but he did better than I thought.

Nothing else to report from here. Hope all is well with everyone. Hugs ~ ~ ~

        Good morning all!

So happy to hear about your new job, Karlinann, Isn't it similar to what you once did before you moved?

Elaine, just how is Lisa doing? I talked to her on the phone once when I was in London. Was supposed to visit with her but couldn't. Did visit Carol (Kazi) though. Wonder how she is doing.

Yesterday got new tires for my car and still have to have cables and other things gone over and checked before I go. Today Bim will come for lunch and help me take a painting to UPS where they will crate it and send to my youngest GD. A bit too heavy for me to handle myself. Maye, that's only one thing I'm getting rid of but it's a big thing so that should count of more then 5 things. Right?

Oh yes, did have someone come look at my patio furniture which I am trying to sell. They liked it but felt it wouldn't do well out in the open. Hope to get some more calls today.

        Have a good one all!

          Good morning

Sun is shining!...snow never looks as bad when the sun is shining..we are beginning to have snow "walls" along the driveway.. .will welcome some thawing today..... turning clocks ahead tonight.. its nice that all the electronics turned them selves ahead.

Hugs to Elaine and John...be thinking of you this weekend..

Hi Karlin.. what are your duties as a Sitter?... to feed. or just to be with someone critical?.

no working today.... ( well, doing dishes. making beds, tiding up bathroom. one load of laundry. .those don't count)

dau.Karen, and family fly home today.. get in late afternoon.. doggie will go home. and my K.D. Kat .. can come out of hiding ... probably take a week for her to become friends again .Ha.

Sister Dee and I went to high school musical."Anything Goes". one of my ex- students had the lead, a young lady with a powerful ,good voice.. one now-student played the keyboard. and I saw other parents and kids there... the musical itself was not one of their better productions... the microphones kept having problems.. but we enjoyed our evening mingling with people. cold walk to and fro the building .but worth it .

          see you all later .

Good Morning! Dreary here & windy. Yesterday was very cold but the sun was out all day...perfect driving weather for Becca.

Yesterday was good. I got a lot done & my baby girl came home. I got everything done that I needed to for today's lunch I'm catering...about 12 qts of cheesy potato soup, 5 pies, chicken salad, and egg salad. Becca got home about 10 minutes before I had to leave & pick up Blaise, so she rode along. Kathy ask us to stop by on our way home, so we popped in there for about 10 minutes. It would have been longer, but I had 3 pies in the oven that I HAD to get home & take out...I brought the timer with me.

This morning I want to make up the sandwiches. We'll head over to the church about 10:30 and set up everything. Becca is helping me. I could do it by myself, but it's nice to have the help & extra time with her. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring.. We may start a new puzzle & work it together.

            ((((John & Elaine))))

            Karlianne...what does your job entail?

            Have a good one all!

              Morning all

Aunt Maye - I sure felt the love from you yesterday

I'm actually at work - decided to come in and do my monthly rental statements so the checks can be ready to be signed by the manager when he returns from vacation on Monday. Chris has to work today anyway, so I figured I would knock it out by noon. Erin will probably still be asleep when I get home

Tonight we are meeting some friends at a new place downtown called The Ale House - another friend will be performing there. Should be a good time.

Off to get busy. Y'all have a good 'un!
The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

                Good morning, friends.
It looks like a good and progressive day for everyone so far.
We have 58° right now, going to 78° it says. I looked at the hourly breakout, but I don't see it going over 76°. ---I wonder about how they report it that way?

Just a regular humdrum day here. I need to get off my duff and do something. Might go shopping if E wants to drive. I might drive if I get a booster cushion.....I have one ordered. The seat adjuster doesn't do it for me. I really can't see most of the hood of the car, and certainly not the very front of it. I really have shrunk over the years, a good 4" worth.

                Well, to breakfast...
Hope you all have a great day!

A hospital sitter.... They simply sit with a patient, few duties. In 1989 when my health problems began,
I got those electronic cuffs on my legs for preventing DVT's aka blood clots. I kicked off those cuffs in my sleep, so I needed a Sitter. One of the hospital handymen from their basement was asked to sit with me....he didn't want to, but needed the $. So he's sitting there with my remote watching sports, very loud, and munching on vending machine crap. I somehow fell asleep, and the next thing I know is that he's standing at my feet, cursing me for kicking off my cuffs, had to call a nurse to reattach them. Guess that interrupted his game-watching. I don't know what she reported, but the doctors and nurses heard about it from me the next morning. He wasn't asked back. The man was a pig! Sorry, pigs are nicer... He was horrible. But I'm not a back sleeper. When I fall asleep, to this day, I roll over. One nurse did apologize, that they did have sitters but none were available.

I imagine a real hospital sitter would have a paperback book in her pocket. They might chat a bit. They look out for whatever problem the patient has that needs watching, ready to call a nurse if necessary.

30* this morning! Thursday we had a high of 16...hopefully winter is over!! Once this snow is melted I will feel like maybe Spring is close. Today Sierra and I are shopping and doing lunch out. Actually I think we are doing lunch out and shopping since I must feed the animal before hitting the mall. She shops better on a full tummy. Nothing new from here. Hate the time change but that is another sign of Spring. Good luck with the new job Karlin...read the description in another post. Cookie, that right buyer is getting closer. Hope you all enjoy your Saturday.

I am off to Sacramento with friends today. We will be leaving in about an hour and I don't have much left to do to get ready.
Elaine, you guys have been in my thoughts constantly. More hugs and prayers today and for the rest of the weekend. I hope Dudley's wife is doing as well as possible.
Congratulations on the new job, Karlinann. I read your description before I came here so it seems like a good job and like I said, I hope your patients are sleeping it off unless you get a good one like Jo.
It is a beautiful day and our temperatures are up this weekend.
I will bethinking of allof you. Hope your team wins, Beth and hope your snow melts, Maye, Donna, Maxie....I love the graphic Pat posted yesterday! Have a good day, Nalani, in your planning and shipping.
