Pat how warm is it there right now? My parents and sis and two nieces will be vacationing on your beaches next week...Am I jealous not really I would rather go when it much warmer...

Today work..tonight...baking baking and more baking...pan of brownies...and a pan of lemon bars Both for my friends funeral dinner..

Good morning, everyone.
Looks like a nice day ahead, but the humidity is up. Looks like a weekend ahead with rain in store, so will just enjoy the sunshine til then. My hairdresser gave me a beautiful hairdos, but it hadn't stayed it; that's what the humidity does to natural curl. But it's nothing I can't handle on my own, I just do a simpler combing and spray it.

Nothing much happening here today....just a normal day.

Beth, that's some really special baking you're doing. Yummy!

I guess I will actually give the house its "better" looking cleaning today.. should take about an hour......don't want to over do this cleaning stuff.

a smile for Donna,,2 days ago, my DIL Terry stopped in to visit .and was upset because she had not gotten a job yet.. been out of work since end of Dec.. ..I told her I was keeping God busy with my prayers for you(Donna).. Terry called me yesterday.. she got a call from the agency she is signed up with that she was to start on a job , today......God must have been listening when I added her name while I was discussing your needs . ...soooooooooo. I will continue my LOUD requests to HIM....have faith. hang it on the Cross and make today a good day..

Good morning, all.
Warmer today with no frost even though I could see the dipper through the haze. Birthday celebration for Feb. in the rec room. cake and Ice cream.
Kait came with her doglet, Carlos, a Chi-weenie. He has decided he loves me as I guess I smelled of cooking last night. He kept begging treats all evening but he and Lily got only a couple.
She cleaned up my entrance and swept the porch for me and washed the dishes the morning.

If I don't get laundry done soon I will be running around in my summer clothes and I don't think it's warm enough to do that. Daffodils are blooming everywhere. Sorry Chilly folks.

Brownies really sounded good to me but if I bake them I will eat them. No No No!

Someone brought a Key Lime cake to one of our events and when I saw the mix at Walmart I had to get it. will make cupcakes for book club even though
Twilla usually brings candy.

Oh, Barb, there is a recipe for Key Lime Poke cake using that mix. A food blogger, Mommy's Kitchen, is part of the Wal Mart demo group and she posted it last year when those mixes first came out. Did I post it or just talk about it? anyway it uses a can of condensed milk and is so good. I think you whip cream and add to the key lime frosting they sell with it...anyway, yougot my attention!~
Good morning, All! I don't usually use cake mixes, but that recipe was worth it, I thought. I took it to church a couple of times.
Thursday and not much on my radar except getting back into the paper hunt for tax information.
Beth, your baking sounds good. My kitchen is super clean right now and that kind of deters me from a major baking project. My DIL in Japan jposted a picture of the boys in a cooking class and she mentioned Hal, 6 1/2, is super messy in the class. I had to admit it was his Nana's genes that did that. I use a lot of pots, bowls and spoons when I cook...The cooking classes are extra things Nikki signs them up for. Kind of like 4-H, but you pay for it.
Our weather is still the same, but the temps are going down a bit, and we still have rain in the forecast this weekend. did I ever tell you, daycare providers are probably the only ones who want rain on the weekend? True.

Good morning Karlinann and Pat.....it is very cold here again.....we did have a little less cold yesterday....got to grocery store to stock up on some items I was missing.... My son Mike and wife Leisa stopped for a visit....always good to see them.....Had some fun food items to give them....and a cake Marianne made on the weekend..she called it a dump cake.....yellow cake mix with added pie filling mixed in....no other ingredients.... she used apple on one half and cherry on the other half.

Today is a home day for me....going to vacuum large and small family room....also touch up living room and dining room.....use the lighter weight vacuum... Want to get back to sewing machine....still have many clothing items to take in.... When it is all done will get the ironing board up....to iron all I have done.

Gosh I started this quite a while back.....then got sidetracked ... called again about the refrigerator I purchased on January 13th.....still do not have it....and no date for delivery. Called again.....know they had to order it....they had it in black and I ordered Stainless Steel. Called them on the 13th and they said it would be here on the 20th....here it is the 26th and no sign of it. Called them....still no promise of a date....Told the associate I talked to....if I don't have it within the week....I am going to cancel it and ask for my money back.

I LOVE Key Lime and that cake sounds wonderful....I have seen those cake mixes and wondered if they were any good or just high priced and over sweet. A good cake is just what I need on another snowy morning. Looks like a couple of new inches and temps will drop all day to single digits tonight. More icky weather this weekend and continued cold. And winter goes on and on and on.... Had dinner with a dear friend last night and even though I saw her two weeks ago we stayed late yakking. Hamburgers and beer, we are a class act! Need to shower and do something around here...wish someone would drop off a cake or a pie or even a plate of cookies. Snow makes me hungry and my greatest fear is looking like the dancing hippo on the beach this summer. Don't want to outgrow my new pants before I get to wear them! I'd much rather pay the grass boys than the snow shoverler guy.
