Hey Peeps. Yesterday was a totally relaxing day for me. All I did was cook and read. Today I'm back at that new garden bed and I'm gonna try and finish it. Have a good Monday.

After four days off, I'm going back to work today. I'll be super busy catching up.

Mardi Gras was fun - there is yet another parade this coming Saturday on the beach and Erin will be marching in it, so I guess I'll have to go to that one too.

Yesterday was spent doing yard and house work. A gorgeous day in the low 60's and sunny. I hear it will be cold by the weekend again. Like Aunt Maye, I'm so ready for winter to be over.

Off to the shower and onward. Y'all have a good 'un!

Big cleanup planned for today. Washing all of the tchotchkes in the bedrooms. Hope I can find a few things to throw out.

Cold but not too unbearable in this neck of the woods.

Good morning..woke up to a text from my mom...she is now with granny at the hospital...the nursing home /rehab called mom at 5:30 granny was having an episode that was lasting longer than what they normally do...so they gave her extra meds and called her doctor..Doctor wanted granny taken to the ER by ambulance. We all are now waiting to hear from mom who is waiting to hear from the doctor. I will go to work to but mom will call work with an update or if I need to come. I don't have a cell signal in the building so I asked mom to call me at work.

Only plan for this evening is possibly picking up my new tablet and getting subway for supper.

Another beautiful day here. Supposed to get to 77. Will do the usual Monday things today.

Yesterday was a fun day for Bim and myself. In the morning I got my computer desk cleaned out. Do have a bag of cords and stuff and will have Patty when she gets here in a couple of weeks to go through them and see what to keep and what to toss. Afraid of tossing something I shouldn't . Then Bim and I went to the Cowboy poetry session and enjoyed that very much and afterwards stopped at Golden Corral and had a nice dinner. Last night I watched the last episode of Downton Abby and wonder if this is the last year or will there be Season six?

Sorry about your Granny, Beth. A sad time for your family.

Good Morning. It doesn't look so pretty out there anymore. Btw the higher temps yesterday and the periods of rain, the ground is peeking through here & there. I heard the sump pump kick on for a while last night.

The lentil soup was a hit at the potluck after church yesterday. Came home & relaxed the rest of the day. Didn't even cook supper. I was kind of in a down mood after the house thing. Chatted via FB with a friend who is also a friend of the people that put the bid in. Apparently their realtor told them we were desperate & would take anything to get rid of the house. That's wrong! Anyways, today is a new day and we shall carry on.

Not sure what today will bring. I've already boxed up the puzzle I finished last night. It ended up missing 5 pc, so I just pitched it. It only cost me $.25, and it was worth every penny for the pleasure it brought me. Need to do some paperwork and some cleaning today. Will prep the egg strata I plan to take to Recipe Club tomorrow. I also plan to make & take Monkey Bread, but I won't do that until right before I'm ready to go so that it'll be nice & warm.

Good morning....
Weather wise, we were surprised to hear that today's temps should reach 84° today. (That will be for just a couple of hours in the afternoon, it will be a nice day today.) Right now it's 46°, so theres a lot of climbing ahead on the thermometer. Looks like we will see some rain next weekend.

Don't know how long it will take my body to adjust to my med changes. Yesterday I had to deal with cramping, and again this morning. I will be seeing the doctor's head nurse next week.

Tonight Is the lecture night at the campus. Might sound like a dull activity, but the auditorium is fully packed for these lectures. Any overflow of audience can go to a particular coffeehouse and watch the live pod cast.

Cookie, can you get a different realtor to handle that house? That "desperate" business has gone on for too long. Either that, or give her a call and tell her word has reached you about what she said (details not necessary), and that you don't appreciate it. ???

Sorry to hear about your Granny, Beth. It is indeed a sad time for your family.

Good morning!
Oh, donna, that makes me mad at the realtor all over and hope those people realize it was the realtor who made the messy situation.
It is so windy right now but no rain clouds over the house. Periods of heavy rain are being predicted on the news now...
No matter how bad the weather, I have to go to the grocery store after daycare today. I did everything but food shop this weekend and I am ok for today, but will be running out of stuff.
Stuart's family posted pictures from KS at the airport. Then on my brother's balcony where they watched two fireworks shows, ate spaghetti and then went right to bed. Today they will go to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.. Spencer posted a picture this morning of the Sydney Opera House...such is my virtual travel these days!

Donna, I am starting my cookie baking this evening (as soon as buy more eggs!).

woke in the middle of the night and ended up channel surfing until dawn then finally went back to sleep. Now I am late moving and that will mess with the entire day. Good thing nothing is planned. I do need to pick up the mail and should stop at the grocery store..I can do that after taking the kid back to school after lunch. Sure will be nice when they get their car back and/or complain about the loaner they have. Beth sorry about your grandmother. Cookie shame on your realtor. No plans for the day from here which is a good thing since I am having a problem in following through...

Hi there. I am taking a break from the digging. My poor old back ain't what it used to be. Also, I wanted to give the birds a chance to eat the worms. Oh, they are so happy and have been singing the whole time and chatting back and forth about me stirring up those worms. We have so many beautiful birds here and the most Eastern Bluebirds that I've ever seen in one place.

Sorry to read about your Realtor experience Cookielady. That sounds so unprofessional. What is up with people nowadays.

Good morning, all. Rain is done for a while but all the shrubs have little water drops that look like crystals; sun is rising so they really glitter.

Nothing much happened yesterday except torrents of rain and Lily yaps. She won't get off the porch so we had to take a longer walk first thing.
Slept until 7:00 today can't remember last time I did that.

First time I sold a house I still believe the realtor made a deal under the table with the buyer. He also lied outright after the sale. Enough about that. The past is past.

Karlinann, your remark about the birds eating worms reminded me of something that happened to me years ago. It is very dry here in Arizona and I had heard that when your grass turns brown in certain spots you need to aerate it, so Buddy made me a gadget out of pipe that I could stick in the ground and attach a hose to it and push it down in those spots and give under grass several inches water. So I did that and up popped all these grubs. I had 2 or 3 Thrashers following me around eating those grubs as fast as they came up. What a feast they had.
