    Morning all

Aunt Maye - no worries. We are keeping you both in our heart and prayers today. Donna, we will be waiting for an update.

It's a holiday, but I'm working. Zero traffic coming to work this morning - I think I passed two whole cars in the 8-mile drive to work (and that's driving through the entire town area to the beach). Banks are closed, so no deposit to be made today. A quiet day and I may just take a half-day off when the boss comes in.

Yesterday was a quiet day spent at home for me. Baked a carrot cake and made pot roast for supper. Read my book and listened to music most of the day. Chris was working and Erin was at her dad's. I only left the house once to run to the store for confectioners' sugar to ice the cake. Sometimes you just need a "down" day.

So I'm just gonna sit here and drink my coffee. Y'all have a good 'un!
The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

Just a quick "Good Morning" to all.
Am still 'under the weather' today.
Speaking of weather, it has reached 70° here. Funny thing is, there seems to be a little more snow. On the Rincon mountains when we returned from Phoenix.
I was awake at 3 this morning, but I think I'll head back for a few more winks of sleep.
Maye...my thoughts are with you and David today.

Thinking of Aunt Maye and Dave this morning...as well as my own mom

My mom should be checking in at the hospital as I type this to have her port put in....she will begin chemo on Wednesday.

I think that I feel half way normal this morning Not leaving my house today...no need. Will probably color and read and maybe a nap.

Good SUNNY but FRIGID Morning! Finally some sunshine....it's be dreary for DAYS.

Yesterday was sort of my down day. As soon as Becca got headed back to college, I was out the door to grocery shop & pick up pizza. Came home & finished making a big pot of chicken rice soup. Took a couple quarts over to Aunt Janet & Uncle Dave. Had a small visit with them & my cousin Mike who flew in for the surgery. They are a tight knit family & I feel so blessed to be part of it.

Kathy had come in the night before right as I was going to bed. I ask her if she was going to look for a job in the area her current "boyfriend" is living & she told me no, she's thinking about moving to Columbus, OH and getting a job there. Works for me! Cork was a bit miffed since we moved all her crap back here. It's on her dime & time this time and what she doesn't take gets pitched. She left for her BF's last night & it took her over 3 hrs since the roads were a bit dicey.

Blaise has no school today, so we slept in a bit and I plan to clean. Going no where unless needed.

Got a texted from my cousin Karen, and supposedly he was being taken in for surgery at 7:50. We are praying & texting. They were given a pager that's suppose to keep them updated all along the way.

Have a good one all & I'll post as I hear something.

Good morning, all. It is pouring down rain and has all night. I can't often hear it in here but I can hear this one. Flood warnings are posted for today. No worries here as we are on a hill and it would take the whole forty days and night to get up here.

Maye and David, we are all thinking of you on this day. I think it should all be OK.

Beth, I have started coloring, too. My sis does it all the time. I like the patterns better than the scenes. Right now I'm doing an elephant that is all decorated in different designs.

Breakfast time so will wish everyone a great day.

                  Good morning everyone.

The "north" looks to be in a real deep freeze. Sure glad I made the decision to come "south" for the winter. Has made a big difference so far in my pain level from "uncle Arthur".

Today is a walking day. Will get my shower and fix breakfast then take a walk later as I want to take some picture of carvings of what I expect to be trees damaged by Katrina. There are also big areas of vacant lots which still have asphalt parking lots with no entrance to them from the highway. They appear to have been either hotels or casinos as the lots and parking areas could have held such buildings.

Will be waiting to hear about David's progress. That type of surgery seems to be almost routine now days. So glad that he was or appeared to be healthy enough to have the surgery.

                  Everyone have a great day.
Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.

6 is the temp right now and not warming up much today. Makes my bed a happy place to stay! Prayers to Maye and David. Wonderful to have the support of your family there. Need to make a grocery run so I can plan meals this week. They are predicting snow for Tuesday and Wednesday and with this cold want to have hearty meals planned. Jon is off today so I can probably con him into doing the running. I just looked at the calendar and the door guy is coming tomorrow to hang the door from upstairs to downstairs family room. He will also put up the trim for the outside door he hung before Christmas. Then the door guy is done! Is this the day Boffler has her scans? Good luck to you and Beth hope you are feeling better. Wish I was walking a beach this morning Jostoy. Looks like the only white we will be seeing here is snow. Happy Monday and stay warm..

Good morning to all! Certainly seems like lots of prayers and good thoughts for David are coming from all over. Donna, I'm checking back in for updates.
Pat, I want to make a carrot cake! Your photo looked great. I just need to buy carrots...I always buy the little ones, but since I don't have a processor I buy big ones when I am going to grate them for a cake...
Not sure how many are coming today. Two told me they won't be here, one will be whose single mom has the day off work, but always brings her child, and two who work at the hospital will bring kids....
Someone asked if Maryland would be closer to visit than Japan is now...yes. And no passport needed. Mine is up this year...I will still probably renew it. It is also much easier to find good deals to the East coast than to Japan...And, if they move to Maryland, I will be dropping in to see you Pa folks!
Barb, the rain was coming down so hard yesterday, it was bubbling in the pool!
Love the kitty and graphics this morning!

GREAT NEWS!!!! Uncle Dave came through with flying colors. He didn't go into surgery until almost 8am and was done around 10:45....that's WAY quicker than anticipated. He's on his way to ICU now. PTL!!!
