Don't you love the crafts on Home & Family? Gosh, I'm getting some new ideas for holiday décor. No I don't host parties or have company, but I think it brightens the spirit if you have pretty vignettes for your eye to rest on.
I want to make a lighted jar of my thrift shop cookie and tiny cake tins. This consists of putting a string of lights inside a large glass jar that pickles came in. You just arrange the tins inside with the lights and maybe some greenery or sparkly ornaments and voile la, instant gratification and a night light for the kitchen.
I love, love, love the old glass ornaments piled into a bowl. They evoke Christmas's past. I will decorate the front door differently this year. Last year I had a grapevine wreath with pink strings of beads all over it. This year I want to put a snowman or something big enough to see from the road. I'll check out the thrift store for ideas.
