    I make this into four perfect mini-loaves. They bake for around 35 minutes. And I did NOT include nuts in mine, so I increased the chocolate chips to one cup.

    Buttermilk Chocolate Chocolate Chip Bread

    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
    2 eggs
    1 cup buttermilk
    1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1/2 cup cocoa
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 cup chocolate chips
    2/3 cup walnuts or nuts of your choice

    In a bowl, combine sugar and margarine; blend well with mixer. Add eggs; continue mixing. Add buttermilk, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt; blend just until all ingredients are wet. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Pour into sprayed 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 55 – 60 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool for 15 minutes; remove from pan. Enjoy!
