Good morning Rounders! It's a cold morning here. I'm going to DH's last appointment with the Foot Specialist who did his Achille's surgery. He will have to change to all new doc's when his new insurance kicks in.

I have opened the door. Welcome, come on in out of the cold. Peace & Plenty.

Good Morning! It's cold now, but suppose to be up in the 50's the next few days. Right..just when I need it to be cold to store stuff out on the porch it gets warm.

Yesterday was good for the most part. Got all my "assignments" completed that Sue said I need to have done for today's projects. Had to fill some (15 doz) ladylocks, ice some sugar cookies (3 doz) to prepare for today's cookie tray assembling. Made Cork's lunch food for the week. Worked some more on the case of lemons I got. Last year I got one & about a third of them went bad because I didn't get to them. I regretted a few months later when I ran out of frozen juice & zest packs.

Picked up Blaise late morning because he wasn't feeling good. He promptly came home and threw up. Had a fever and ached all over. Slept on the couch all day until about 11pm when I finally got him up and to his own bed. He's feeling somewhat better this morning, but I'm still going to call the doctor to have him checked for an each infection and/or strep throat. Obviously he's not going to school today.

Today is cookie tray day and finish icing 10 doz sugar cookies. I'll be preparing the pie fillings for tomorrow's fruit pies that we'll be assembling. I think I'm up to about 50 pies now. We can do this!

Off to the kitchen.....have a wonderful day.

KA....I don't know the full circumstance with you lil art buddy, but don't punish him because of his Mom. Maybe Grandma could bring him over? I know it's stressing you & you've got to do what's best for you.
Maxie....LOL over Andrew's "LOUD" comment about the gift you were buying the bf.

Morning! 50 Pies!? You must have them stacked on chairs and tables...that is a lot of pies but good for you and your business. Kids always pick the best time to get sick. Andrew and his dad are very good while sick, they sleep and are not demanding. Sierra and her uncle were the biggest pills. So sick and weak they could not do anything without help or get up to help themselves. Hopefully Blaise is one of those who sleep it off.

Today I am going out for what I forgot yesterday, stick butter and a frozen veggie. Scott texted and he is bringing his slaw. He makes a wonderful sour slaw, so salad is off my menu. If I pick up the last of the gift cards today then I will only have a couple of gifts to buy and be totally finished with the Christmas shopping. Andrew cleaned his room and all I have to do is dust and clean the floor. He likes when Uncle Scott comes although Drew with be with his other side he wants to go bowling with his dad and uncle and I hope they find the time since Jon is only off Wednesday and Thursday.

After shopping yesterday the guys went over and repaired the neighbors mailbox. It was sort of a group deal since the neighbor on the other side of us donated the wood he had and Jon and Drew did the labor. When she came in yesterday I could hear her...she was very happy. She is alone and estranged from her son so is always happy to have the guys do anything for her. Nice when you do not have to pay to have everything done.

I am not doing any heavy cleaning for this holiday but will clean next week when I decorate for Christmas. I know I keep saying this but Donna your house must smell like heaven! Good thing you do not make 'mistakes' that need to be eaten. I'd be unable to move through the doors!
We are going to miss all the predicted weather this week so do not have to worry about Scott on the road. Feel sorry for people traveling long distances. Have a wonderful day everyone.

So nice to repair the mailbox! I totally know how the volunteer kindness feels opposed to the pay for everything you need done feels!

Good morning 1 more sleep and 3 more days of work before I head to mom and daddy’s!! I can’t wait.

After a late night conversation of almost an hour with a different staff than the one I have about what went down on Friday with my current staff. I feel better. I am waiting to see what happens. Atleast some one I trust other than mom knows everything. This particular staff is super close to a friend that shares the same staff with me. She is going to talk to her and see how its going with her.

HOw is it I can read all the posts and then think, Now what was I going to reply to that?
Oh, well, it will come back or I will just rattle on.

It is 48 now and going to 60. No winds so it will feel pretty good by the time we go out, after 10:30...I need time for the sunto shine on the back yard and the dogs to go out a couple of times.
Today I have two school kids as our schools are out for the week. All parents said No problem to picking up early for me to go to the funeral.
I have a cake to take and my clothes figured out...It means hoping everyone really will pick up on time and then getting out of my daycare clothes quickly and into the clean ones. I had to do my hair this morning with the whole day in mind; usually Monday is my let it be day...not a whole shampoo again and style like for Sunday.
I am friends with the widow, but very close friends with the ex-wife who was going to stay overnight with me, but because of a big storm coming in to southern OR is going home after the funeral.
One really nice thing: the current wife said she thought the "whole" family should sit together so Kathy (ex) can sit with her children at church. I was kind of worried how those feelings might be and especially if Iwasn't able to be there, like who would sit with Kathy, the first wife? Most of the people living here now don't even know her...Oh, well, it sounds like all will be ok.

I sure hope this is a fast passing bug that Blaise has, Donna. And, like maxie said, he can sleep it off.
Maxie, the fun with the boys! Hope the bowling gets done and lots of guy itme for bonding.

The cake I made turned out looking great. And smelled so good that will for sure be making it the next time we need a cake.
I hardly ever use a cake mix for a cake but this one sounded good and you do it in a Bundt pan...somehow that seems to make it ok with me.

Have a great day and enjoy yourselves. Hope all the dr appointments go well!
