Good morning Rounders! First thing I want to write about is the crockpot liners. Where have they been all my life!!! Those things are da bombe diggity doo wa! The roast and veggies came out perfect and there were leftovers so I just took the bag out and poured the au jus into the container after I had scooped out all the veggies & meat. There was no clean up! LOve, love, love those liners. And I had a brainstorm. I can roast my turkey for Thanksgiving dinner in those, but in the microwave. I know it will work. I will put it in one liner and then I will cover it with another. I'm so relieved to know I won't need to use the oven.

Okay. I spent several hours on the next craft lesson prep. We will be making a turkey with leaves for the tail, but we will also be making a dinosaur. I will let him do the turkey first, cuz after he sees the dino he won't want to do the turkey. Yep! The dino is made from a folded in half paper plate, 3 pieces of toilet paper rolls, little squares of green paper for him to paste onto the body, eyes to glue on, teeth, and a tail. I have already made the paper mache paste and it works fantastic. I had to go ahead and cover the legs and head with the green paper and the paste worked great. I pasted them into the paper plate and used clothespins to secure while drying. I pasted the tail into the plate. This morning I removed the clothespins and molded and shaped the dino so that he looks real and he stands on those toilet paper legs. It turned out great. I've already drawn in the nostrils, but he will paste the green squares onto the body and the eyes and teeth.

I managed to stay up until 8:30. What!

There will be a warming trend towards the weekend. Thank goodness! We went through our closet and took out all the clothes that we will donate to the thrift store. I have a much larger stack. DH got out his winter clothes and I have cleared out my sock drawer except for the newer socks. My ankles swell if I try to wear those older socks. No good for me! We also have eyeglasses to donate.

Before you know it Christmas will be upon us. Right after T'Giving I will make up the cookies that I'll be gifting this year. I bought those pretty little Ziploc baggies at The Dollar Tree and will put them in those and then put those into tins.

Today I have to scrape the ice off the top rim of my freezer in the garage, and gather some leaves and press them in a phone book. Peace & Plenty.

Good morning I am crazy sore. I guess I used muscles at work I don’t normally use. Last night was the best Sunday night I have had at work. I got to do a variety of things. I got pulled off the line and asked to help with prep in the back!!! A big deal! I got to cook French fries. I got to help cook sandwiches on the the grill. I got to serve my normal line some also.

Today is work..my parents will be here this evening.

Wow! I didn't get here at all yesterday! I had an early meeting at church for a missionary committee and then came home and cut and tied the fleece blanket for the dog rescue and then went to my mom's. While we were there my fL brother Facetimed because two of his granddaughters were there. The UT daughter and her husband and 3 year old are out for a convention for amusement parks and such. He is the general manager for a family game center chain in Ut. Both my niece and her husband worked at Disney World. she has a degree in horticulture and worked in Epcot and he has a degree in finance and worked in Disney Springs. The move to Utah was really good for them (even though at the time it was only for the job) because Chloe was born with serious issues and the hospital and specialists where they moved are the ones they needed...anyway, two 3 year old great nieces were fun to visit with onFacetime. They were showing me their polished nails and I showed them mine.

I guess that was how I totally forgot to come here...

At church a lady told me we may have another power outage on Wednesday: for 20 mph winds!!! People are up in arms! that is not high enough winds to turn off power for a town that is not in a forested area.
I know if I go and buy a generator it will be like washing your car: it will rain for sure! So maybe if I bite that bullet of indecisioin and just buy a generator the stupid power people will stop doing this??? See how my mind works?
Actually, I have been thinking and thinking aobut this and it just loks like going forward tis is how we are going to beliving. So now while I can buy one (and before they run out when the power goes off) I am going to HOme Depot after daycare and hopefully find one we can handle. One that uses gas or propane would be Becky's choice but I am still not sure about that. Filling the gas cans and thent he generator was a mess last time and that is why she wants to find the (higher prieced) one that has the option of usinsg propane.

Today we are painting turkeys, too. I will let them paint while I try and get them one by one to do a handprint for a Thanksgiving turkey. Handprint art is one of my favorites and there are lots of holiday decorations for hand and footprints.

I need to get my food for today started. I am making spaghetti for the kids. The temps are going down but all of you have such lower ones I don't think I will talk about ours...Leaves are almost all down form my big mulberry tree (where is the guy who is supposed to trim it?) and the tree I share with my neighbor is absolutely beautiful, red and green. I am not sure what kind of tree it is and wasn't sure if it was in his yard or mine. He told me one day the tree started on its own and is between both of our yards.

Becky made gingerbread muffins yesterday with a light lemon glaze. So good.
and we watched a Lifetime Christmas movie. I didn't know I even had Lifetime on my Directv..but glad I found out.
I have to box up the dog blanket and get it ready for the post office. Becky has a day off work and will be taking it for me. She is working on papers for grad school.

Have a good day and drink something warm! Hot cocoa with peppermint creamer is my new fav!

Buying a generator can be a big deal, the bigger deal is if you don't have one and lose a lot of food and such...we lived outside of city limits so our purchase was a big deal because we have a well and it needs electric to use it, plushing the john because we have a grinder pump, plus a freezer full of meat and two refrigerators, and I want my morning coffee and a few lights on.. The older we get the more conveniences and less worry we want...sounds like you had a busy day yesterday.

Morning...over slept this morning. Scott texted and I just laid in bed and talked with him. Our family T-Dinner will be this Saturday and we will see him then but he is coming up to visit next Wednesday through Saturday. That will be nice to see him one on one. I will have both my boys home for T-Dinner next Thursday...that does not happen very often!

Jon is off today so will do any cooking. I had thought about running out and doing some shopping but have a headache. I know, any excuse right? Need to call for a haircut. Hope she can squeeze me in because I have a pretty busy week. I need to run home and do some banking and run into the grocery store...omg!...we are totally out of asiago!...how can you even look at anything with tomato sauce and not have asiago? Plus there are things I can get at home I cannot get here with these big brand stores. Smaller grocery stores cater to their customers and the local tastes. Guess I will always miss home.

Sounds like you are having as much fun as your little friend Karlinann. You may end up with a yard helper this Spring too. Beth glad you had a good night doing something different. Cross training is a good thing.

I am off to shower and do whatever. You never know what direction a day will turn and I hope it turns in a direction that does not cost me money and is fun! Have a good one!

Maxie a headache is a perfect excuse not to go shopping...I know what you mean about grocery stores catering to the locals taste, finding more and more I have to go out of town and shop at more populated areas to find things I like to cook with or have...sad...Glad you will have all your family for Thanksgiving, wish I could be as lucky...time, distance and other families sure change things..

Good Morning, feeling a bit tired this morning, hubby has been having insomnia and it keeps me awake also...Will finish the laundry today, and try and do a bit more finger shopping for Christmas, amazing how much time that takes up but I detest shopping in stores, I will do it for a few hours then I am done.. I am looking for a new desktop, mine is over 10 years old now still works good but at the point were some programs will no longer work on it and the browsers are outdated and no more updates for this one...I love the all in ones, have had such good luck with HP's will stick with that...I do have a nice laptop also with Windows 10 on it but I love having a desktop...also have a newer IPad which I also use a lot..

Even though it is chilly outside the sun is coming out which makes it more bearable...My poor kitty is still searching and yowling for his brother, its been 5 months and he has changed so much, does a lot of meowing, took him to vet two weeks ago and got him some kitty prozac but it bothered his stomach, and he found it in his food...so guess we just live with it and hope at some point he will get over the loss...feel so bad for him.

Need to boil some eggs today, hubby goes into office twice a week and always takes a boiled egg (peeled already) a banana and clementine..if he had to boil them and peel them he would never want any but since I do it he loves them..

No real plans today, do what I feel like doing if and when I feel like it.... Karliann, your plans for crafting sound like so much fun for the youngster, he will be your buddy for sure...that is just awesome of you...

Well off to get some breakfast and morning meds...have a goodun everyone..
Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

      Good late morning everyone.

I THINK I can call the heater escapade finished. Made the 2 for under the breakfast bar this morning.

Will start some laundry after I make my post here. If I don't do it today, I'd definately have to do it tomorrow. Running out of those necessary things...undies.

Yesterday, my SIL took me to a "Christmas Warehouse" called Darlington's. It was so crowded, and we couldn't browse like we wanted. So we left and decided that we'd go back during the week. I've never seen a place that had so many things. Most of the people were going in one direction, but you always have some to "buck" the crowd by going a different direction. I ended up spending $10., and SIL spent $20. I got a "maxine" desk calender for my computer desk. I always have liked her sayings.

Need to get that laundry started, so will just say...have a great day one and all.

Nice to see a gabby bunch of us this morning! I am heading out for a haircut..she can squeeze me in this afternoon and I am grateful. Will run into the grocery for those things I cannot get here and put gas in my car and do my banking. Headache is still naggy but will also pick up some advil since I am out. I take one every morning for my shoulder but the cold weather is affecting my hands so think I will try two. Prescription pain meds make me loopy and I do that well enough naturally!

We do not have a Darlingtons around here but one of the stops we will make Thursday is At Home. They sound similar to your Darlingtons. Love looking at the Christmas decor and the wild Christmas trees. Why someone would want one dressed like an Elf or Angel beyond me but looking is half the fun. To each his own in taste.

        See you all tomorrow!!
