Good morning Rounders! I have been up for hours working on the jigsaw puzzle. Last night was the final episode of Les Miserables on Masterpiece. It was sad at the very end and I cried. I love PBS and Masterpiece is my favorite show. Next Sunday starts a new series of Endeavor.

I ended up ordering the shower chair from Walmart. It is sturdy, had the best ratings and reviews, and it's plastic which is what we need to put inside the shower stall. Maxi I love Teak wood, but that would not hold up getting blasted by water twice a day, plus Teakwood is heavy.

My Spaghetti & Meatballs dinner was so good. I made the meatballs in my no stick fry pan. Easy, breezy.

Mostly I just stayed inside yesterday. I only stuck my head out early am to rearrange some potted plants and fill the birdbath. They are really using that birdbath and I'm delighted to accommodate them. The reason I had to move the potted plants is cuz the day before I saw the snake go behind them and I wanted to clear that out so he couldn't hide in there. They were too close to the house and I didn't have a good vision line.

Today is dh's foot specialist appt. and Thursday is PT. I hope both appts. are positive. I know that his foot/heel looks great, clean and conditioned. I used pure Vitamin E to massage into the bottom of his foot because it was so calloused and dry. The doctor told me to massage cream on it, but the creams are not effective. That Vit E did the trick.

Aunt Maye, I sure wish I could be up there to help you with your garden. A good shrub to plant near foundations is Loropetalum.? It has purple blooms in the spring and stays green all year. Also, Hydrangea makes a perfect hedgerow for foundations if it's on the east or north side of the house. Another good hedge is Yaupon Holly, which is a very slow growing hedge. Yes, Aunt Maye, I hurt really bad in all my joints when it's going to rain. It's awful. I feel your pain.

I hear the birds and it's almost daylight. Peace & Plenty.

    Peace & Plenty.

Good morning...I am up early for what reason I don't know....I will be leaving the house around 9:15 to catch the bus headed to walmart to get the final few things I need for camping...then coming home to pack my container...This evening I need to have my neighbor come over to see where all cori's stuff is and how to care for her. I really hope that she is ok while I am gone for almost a week.

I finally get to see my granny on Thursday...I haven't seen her since she moved to the nursing home...she seems to be doing pretty good...On Tuesday evening mom and I will be making a fleece lap blanket for granny. I hope she likes it.

Good Morning! Yesterday it was HOT & humid, and today it's dreary, wet, & chilly again. Good weather to work w/o sweating.

Yesterday was good. After church Cork & I went to town to the flea market. Didn't get a single thing. Just time together. After we got home, Cork came up around noontime and ask if I'd do him a favor & go back into town and get him a valve for a tire. Fine. Stopped at Aldi's since I needed milk and of course picked up a few more items. They still had their cream cheese dbl packets for $.99. While I was filling up a box with them, a lady was watching me & grabbed two singles. I pointed out to her that the dbls were only $.20 more than a single. She traded them. Then it was onto my adventure of trying to find a valve. He sent me with the one that needed replaced. Advanced Auto's was way too big, so he suggested going to Rural King. Well I searched & searched and had to luck, so I FINALLY found someone to ask. They were so short staffed. She finally found someone who knew what I was talking about & sent me on my way. Of course it still WASN'T what Cork was wanting. Too bad. Go next yourself! LOL!

I piddled around all afternoon. Got 8 PB pies made & in the freezer. Kathy called to ask if I'd watch Xander while she ran into town to pick up a car part. The two boys played well together. I didn't feel like cooking dinner, so I called Mel's and ordered a children's pizza meal. Eventually we ended up down at the swings. Kathy took a nice picture of me & the two boys swinging. It was nice getting hugs from both of my boys.

Not sure what today will bring. I need to get started on the graduation cookies ordered for next week. Mini gobbs & star sugar cookies. The lady ordered 13 doz of the mini gobbs for her son's grad party. The boys will have those gobbs down in no time. I could see them challenging each other how many they could stuff into their mouth at one time. I guess it'll depend on how many young ladies are there.

Today is Aunt J's birthday. Going to call her here shortly.

      Have a wonderful time Bethina!

      Have a good one all!

Good morning! Monday and a little hard to get myself out of family and graduation mode and back into work and work mode! It feels like two kinds of work: house and children...
The weather was just so weird. we were the only graduation ceremony that did not get rained on. My friend's daughter had her ceremony yesterday and it looked like sunshine for them, but the rain we were having moved down and she sent me a video of them in the bleachers with umbrellas up and rain and then Hail pelting them! One for the books! Becky was able to get all the pictures she wanted around Chico and campus because Friday was the only good day...There was not a hotel room available and I couldn't help but feel sorry for families that had come far and then have such miserable weather.
Becky's office gave her a surprise party and gifts on Thursday! A good sized mug that says The tastle was worth the Hassle. And it really was. This weekend she is going to look at cars, hoping for Memorial Day sales prices.

Happy birthday, Janet!!!! I have some cupcakes left and will raise one in your honor The rest of the week will be devoted to clean eating. Well, that is the plan. I hope you have someone making you carrot cake and get lots of calls and messages today. I am going to plant some marigolds out front and maybe a zucchini or cucumber among the flowers. I read they help repel bugs. Not sure what repels snails and they are a big problem.
So good wishes for the day and the flower bed! (I get sidetracked easily)

Donna, I hope the weather is good for you all on the East coast and for your camping, Beth! I have come to realize I could not live in the Northwest where Stuart lives with all the cloudy, rainy days.

All Rounders, please have a good day and take a break as needed!

          Good morning!
I can’t believe today will be only 68°....but tomorrow will be warmer again. A very slight chance of that wet stuff falling from the sky.

Yesterday turned out very good. E would have enjoyed it a lot. Family and extended family coming and going throughout, we filled 3 rooms. Some stayed an hour, some two hours, and most stayed the full 4 hours. Some wrote in the memory book of fond experiences with E. The eldest DD had a mixture of red, purple, and some other color all around the house. Two groups of those MI nieces and nephews who couldn’t come, each sent a bouquet of flowers to the house for the memorial. The 3 DDs who put this together each made up collage boards of pictures of E in various family situation, including some of our wedding pictures. The simple foods that was offered was out of this world delicious. I got “a million hugs”.

My son showed up, he sat near me the whole time, and didn’t talk to anyone much. “I hardly know any of these people”, he complained. I told him that’s why we had name tags on, and he was related to most of them. (Idiot!). In today’s world, people are too busy lose touch.
The memorial was like a reunion, with spouses in tow. Then his wife burst into tears about her mother having just died (on the day they were supposed to come take me to lunch). I told her I understood, and the circumstances just collided. That dramatic outburst was the only thing that went wrong and made a lot of people very uncomfortable. She was perfectly fine when that was over.
E’s twin sister, she and her hubby said “if you need anything, let us know”...... several people made the offer. Ex son in law reminded me that when I’m ready he will pack up the house stuff I’m taking and move it for me....he owns a trucking business with big trucks.

Last night my younger daughter and her DH and two kids took me out for Mexican, at a new restaurant. It’s an Americanized Mexican in flavor. I had a veggie burrito so big, I get another dinner out of it today or tomorrow. The kids (ages 20 & 26) flew in on Saturday and are going back this morning.

So today, it’s back to the old grind. This is the last week of my current help. But they are terrific workers. DD says she’s only a call away, she can come back if need be. I need to relook at my papers, find a lawyer and make a new will. I wrote an address, but I forgot where I put it. So much to do! I’m still awaiting word from places where E has a pension fund. Also have more DC’s to send out. Right now DD and her DH are paying repair bills.
I can’t get into my major banking accounts right now. I have a dwindling personal savings at another bank, which I’m using for basics right now.

Looks like I wrote a book.
I will give you all a break from this, and wish you all a very good day! ☀️
          HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JANET!
