Good morning Rounders! It's 55 going to 84. There is a moon and stars visible, but no meteor showers that I can see. I can't really go outside becuz I have a touch of Vertigo.

Great news about E's Sx. I'm so glad it was a success and will be waiting for further updates.

I'm almost finished with my book and have 2 more to read. Most of yesterday was spent reading. My life is so boring. That is about it for me. Peace & Plenty.

Good SUNNY Morning! Yesterday turned into a pretty day.

Yesterday I had an extremely slow start, but I eventually got my rear in gear. Sue canceled on me for lunch...again...., so I called to see if Tina could take me earlier for my haircut and she did. I look all pretty. LOL! I then headed down to Stover's to pick up my bakery order since I was almost half way down there. Got all 3 greases, a couple boxes of frozen berries, and a couple flavorings. Since I got home earlier than planned, Becca came down a little earlier. I got her to help me do a few things, one of which was putting up the new magnetic curtain rods & curtains on my French doors. They look so nice! The rods we had were plastic & broke. These ones are metal.

Aunt J isn't able to come over & scoop grease anymore because she doesn't want to leave Uncle D by himself. She said the next time I get new boxes, to just bring them over. Becca & I took them over and visited for a bit. They were so happy with their weekend company. Uncle D looks so thin. The boys did get him over to Karen's for Easter.

When we got home, Cork was out mowing. He kept mowing & mowing & mowing. I thought he'd stop and come in to chat with Becca, but he didn't. Becca & I ate leftovers. He thought she was staying for dinner, so that's why he didn't stop. She had things to do & places to go. Our yard looks so nice. The neighbor brought over a truck load of dirt & Cork had him dump it at the back corner of our property. Now Cork will use it to fill in the big holes in our yard. If you step into one of them, you could lose your shoe & break your leg.

Kathy called. She was SUPPOSE to bring Blaise home, but as usual there was drama there. Matt's Mom was being taken back to the hospital. She just got home Saturday night. Then Amber left Jimmy and was going to a battered women's shelter and took Xander with her. She's not even suppose to have Xander. Kathy was SUPPOSE to be starting her job last night & was going to delay the start by a day because of all this. OH PLEASE! I just called her & I guess they got Xander back because Kathy left her new job early so she could be home with Xander when Matt left for work. I could just take their heads & smash them together. She's going to lose this job too. For heavens sake, get your acts together. I picked up Blaise, and we came home to peace & quiet. I made Cork's food for the week, and read my book.

This morning I have an appt with the dietician. She's also going to talk to me about insulin pumps. I will then stop at Aldi's and the bank. Need to pick up some pie supplies. The new restaurant is ordering 3 cream pies, which I didn't recommend, but I figure they'll learn or they'll really push desserts so they don't lose money. Will come home & start working on pie dough and rolling it out. I've got orders for 11 pies so far this week. I also need to work on finishing up those wedding orders.

So glad to hear Ellis came thru surgery ok.

    Have a good one all!

Why do you make grease balls? I'm just curious.

Good morning....work...class...sleep...that is my day in a nut shell.

The girl at work is continuing to get under my skin and push my buttons but I am refusing to let her and not believing the things she is saying...She is trying to say that my boss talked about as "special" with "special needs" I don't believe that at all..because he all the time tells me that I don't need a job coach anymore. When the retention specialist has come to visit he always has nothing but good to say so I am not worried at all...Unless she does something that causes physical harm or puts me in danger I am just letting her crap go...and continuing to count down the days til summer break. 13 not counting today is the number.

Morning all! Yesterday's temp reached 87 but it was so windy...again...that no one really noticed. You could see the pollens floating and they ran right up my nose! We did buy plants and got our garden in. Two tomato plants, complete with cages and one purple pepper.. it is a very cute garden! Even have a windmill yard ornament looking over it. The pots are planted and very pretty. This year instead of buying plants and making my own potted arrangements I just bought big hanging baskets of what I liked and put transplanted them into my pots. I always made my own potted arrangements and some plants do so well and others just do meh and I just wanted a full pot of something. And the blood red geraniums are gorgeous. Could not find shrubs I wanted so will plant some shasta daisies and coral bells. will pick up one other plant when it hits me. The nursery was a mass crowd of people. Planters are happy and friendly so no mob rule when you got your foot run over. We do still need mulch and I bought another bunch of solar lights but Andrew likes to plop them for me. His job for the evening.

The people next door to us left in the middle of the night a few weeks ago...evidently just ahead of the repo guy. Jon was sitting out last evening and some guy walks over and introduces himself and he is buying the house as a repo. Nice kid Jon says and come to find out when the last people left they took the cabinets off the walls and the flooring off the floors. What?! They did that and we did not see? Talk about sneaking out in the middle of the night. Anyway the guy says his dad looked the neighborhood over and was impressed with our front porch and the one on the other side of him. I have been telling Jon that how our house looks DOES affect the neighborhood and if he would finish I could landscape the front...bring out the pretties for the porch. People do notice but some men won't get moving even when they take full credit for the work. Just finish the damn porch!!!

I see a nap in my furture already today. Only got about 2 hours sleep and you would think with all the allgery crap I took yesterday I would have been unconsicious. This wind is like living in the plains...I imagine...never lived in the plains but it sure as heck is windy. All the laundry is caught up so I an iron. Did iron her shirts yesterday.

Sierra has been offered a job from her internship and she is happy. She likes the women she works with and likes the work. Plus she needs a years experience for a lot of jobs. Of course that probley means she will be moving in with the wanker sooner. I have started a basket and when I pick up dish detergent or something I buy two. She cannot cook anything but then I managed to make it through life without learning. When she gets a raise she can eat a better choice of fast food.

Not suppose to be as hot today and not much sun. Temps are going to stay in the 70s all week. Looks like the Blues will be playing Dallas but I am not sure when the games start. Cardinals won yesterday. Happy to hear E did ok with his surgery and hope he recovers quickly. Karlinann you are into those books. I am not sure I have ever read that author but he does sound familiar. We are having pork chops and I think I read a recipe for cooking them in the air fryer...need to look that up. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Maxie, did you know that you can save the Geraniums for next year. All you do is take them out of the soil this fall, cut off the tops and tie a strip of cloth around 3 or 4 and hang them upside down in a dry place for the winter. I've done this before and when you replant them in the spring they come back. It's a good way to save money and it's so easy.

good morning and hope it is going well for all of you much further along in the day than I am.

Yesterday the two little brothers came 10 minutes early! When I thought no one would be here until about 7:30, they were driving inat 7:20. Not much difference in time but when one is the infant and the other the cute but very demanding toddler, it makes a huge difference. So today I have
the door open and the bottles ready.
I have the older girl and her brother today along with the one school boy I had yesterday. We talked a lot about the rodeo since he had gone and so had a two year old who was vry happy when we talked about the horses!

I have one very yucky outside job and ot sure exactly how I will get it done: a big 5 gallon bucket of wheat (!) which I don't even remember ever buying or receiving must have been in the storage shed (I would never have put it there because of the heat). Anyway, for a long time it sat on the outside and I thought it was a paint bucket. So did Becky...until the elements got the lid open or holes and now it is Rotten and so smelly...I have no idea about getting rid of it easily and have thought of 1. digging a hole to bury the stuff, but remembered around that area is where we have buried our cat...and 2. putting down an old blanket and somehow emptying out the stuff into the blanket and then getting the blanket into the garbage...all without losing my dinner. It has filled with rain water and that is why I can't pick it up.
Before the neighbors call the police and say they smell a body over here I have to get it out. And I don't really know anyone I want to have to deal with this. Believe me: if I knew someone who did not speak English who could take care of t his I would hire them in a minute and hope they didn't know anyone I know...
Moe to come on how to get rid of a noxious element!

Yikes! I need to replace that image for you. All my flowers are really great right now and so far, the bees have not overtaken the tree that hangs over my fence.

Hope you all are into a good day with the sun on your shoulders. Our temps are climbing and our sky is blue. I have been watering in the am and then in the evening so hopefully all the corners will stay green this year.

Have a good day and smile!
Beth that is the best plan! Ignore her and just smile. You know you are doing a great job because of your chef and the way you serve the students!

Okay, first of all you should have on a mask if you are around that 5 gal bucket of wheat. Could it have been bought to plant a grassy field? Dunno, but you should wear the mask and dump it and let the sun dry it up and then rake it into a bag and discard in the yard waste. I hope you don't get a sinus infection.

Thank you Karlinann and I did just like you said! I would not have thought of the mask so I got one and also put Vick’s under my nose and now it is drying out!
I just think someone moved and gave me their 5 gal. U met of food storage wheat!
I am not a grind my own wheat person; I don’t own a Bosch mill
And have not been a regular bread maker,
I eat it too soon and too much!

Karlinann my sil has a geranium she does that too. But she is one of those people that can grow anything and my brother takes direction. Their yard was beautiful Sunday with just the wild flowers and blue bells and natural way they keep a yard. I am telling you these blood red geraniums are gorgeous and I hope the sun on that concrete does not bake them! I wintered two hibiscus in the basement for a couple of years and they did pretty darn good until I had to put them in the ground and then they did not survive this last winter.

And Paula why would you have a barrel of wheat? Can't you call the trash company for a special pickup? Ours does that.

Yes Beth, sounds like you have a good plan and maybe this coworker will not be back in the fall. One can hope!

Cookie amazing how some people live with and around drama. It would make me tired or go on a rampage...I like plugging along without any strife. I understand Cork not stopping and visiting. Jon will do that and when he looks up Sierra is out the door. Hopefully she will reconnect with her dad once she is finished with school and she says she gave notice at McD's and can go back if she wants but wants to have a weekend and a holiday off for once. Be normal.

My sister called and we talked for over 2 hours. Might as well take the rest of the day off right?

Hi everyone. I know I’m late. Sorry.

Apparently E slept all night and didn’t get the breathing tube taken out until this morning. But he is fully awake (and fully in pain which goes along with this type of surgery). But the worst will give way to a lesser pain in a couple of days.
Also, they are going to walk with him, to start gaining strength back. The nurses say he’s still doing great.

Surprisingly, “the evil twin”, left a message on the hotel phone for me. We actually had the nicest conversation that we ever had. E and his twin sister are the last two of the family (not counting the family’s offspring). She, being his twin, also has a heart problem, and she had gotten AFib and a pacemaker.

Am also getting some super super quality time with our middle daughter.

Well, I’m going to go through my nightly routine (tooth brushing teeth, facial cleaning, etc) and watch a bit of TV before bedtime.

        ’Night, all.
