Granny Update 2

I’m home. Our meeting with River to River concluded with the sad news that Mother has to move for her own well-being. They have determined that her condition is too inconsistent and her use of the pendant when transferring is also very inconsistent. These things put her at steadily increasing risk of falling. At some point, she crossed the threshold of eligibility for assisted living. Predictably, she isn't taking this at all well, to the point she says she refuses to move. I explained that we don't have that option. I am going tomorrow to look at a highly recommended facility in Benton. If you talk to Mother, please be upbeat about this transition. Please don't reinforce her anger and resistance. We need to pray for Mother.
