Good morning Rounders! JoGee, please do not mess around with that rapid pulse. It could be a sign of A-Fib and maybe you better get an appt. right away. Just doing your hair should not cause a rapid pulse. When I have too much sugar it happens, and when I'm outside working in the heat it really goes up, but I try not to do those things anymore. I hope you are ok and now I'm gonna worry about you.

We didn't go on the "Lights" drive last evening cuz my leg hurt from all the strenuous planting on the bank yesterday. Before my neighbor lady came over I had been busy for over an hour moving grass plugs and I moved 6 Sago Palms to the bank. They will definitely hold the soil, look beautiful and fill up that space. It's quite a long bank. Now DH won't have to worry about trying to mow around them. All total I had 17 Sago Palms, but a couple of them died. I love those palms and they were all free. My neighbor behind me didn't like them flanking her driveway and scratching her truck so she had them cut down to the ground. They came back up and that was the first 3 that I dug up, the big ones. After I took those they came up again. They were very hard to dig out, but they have survived and each had a very nice root system. Did you know that the Sago Palm is a prehistoric plant species?

I could not eat the pork chop at dinner. I cut off one bite and that was it. Sometimes I have an aversion to meat. I think my system has totally changed now when it comes to meat, meat smells, taste, etc. Anyway, DH will have that another night. I could easily become a vegetarian except for fried chicken and rib eye steak! LOL!

    I'll be back!

Good morning! Andrew has strep so I will not be joining the school chums for lunch. Sierra was called into work but should only work a few hours so we are going to bake those cut out cookies. Andrew will not be here all day and Paula gave me the idea of just baking the cookies and decorating later. Anyone can slather icing on them if we don't get enough kids together to do it as a project. Going to try to mix a batch of chocolate chip cookies too. Then clean the kitchen. I ran the vac and cleaned up all other rooms yesterday so they will just need a once over but the kitchen is last.

Tomorrow is my ladies shopping and Friday I got squeezed in for a haircut. Do not have to cook again tonight but do have a grocery list. Maybe I can give Sierra my credit card and have her go when she gets off work...most of the list is in her handwriting anyway.

I sure do envy you the weather and the energy to go out and work in the yard Karlinann. I am going to look up a picture of your palms. Gotta get moving around here. Have a wonderful day!!

Oh, yes! fried chicken is one of my favorites and probably because I never learned how to make it as good as my mom and grandmother. And now my mom just doesn't like to cook. Her chicken fried steak was my favorite meal, but I can do that, but I am the only one left at home who likes it. And unless you are in Texas, have not found a restaurant that makes a good one...everything is microwaved, it seems.

Just a normal Wednesday around here. Lots of excitement about Becky's last day of finals and since there is no ceremony for Fall grads, she is considered a Graduate and will receive her diploma as soon as the professors put those grades in. I took her picture in her Chico State University Graduate shirt last night. She had to buy it a few months ago to get one with 2018 on it.

Trash has been picked up and as soon as it gets the slightest bit light I will go out and bring the can in. ONce again I did not use the second can. We both decided to wait tillafter Christmas and use the second can to get rid of stuff!!! Will we do it? Who knows? but that is the plan.

My mothers cousin died last week and witll be buried here in the family plot on Friday. Yesterday the family called my mom and asked if she knew any minister who could conduct the service. the mortuary had asked the family. They haven't had a church so they were asking up here. My mom called me...her other cousin said her minister was very busy...I made a call and got a retired church Elder to say of course, and he would call another Elder to do part of the service, too. I had them email me information they wanted included and will print that up. There is a lot that needs to be filled in. When you don't go to that many funerals and haven't had to do one, it is hard to think of all the regular information an obituary includes. Sharon was retired law enforcement and always posted things that honored LE and military (her husband is retire Marine Corps). So I am helping organize another funeral and thinking, Not what I reall want experience in, ya know?

Ok, I have to get some lights on and the day started. Yesterday was a mess with my computer program for the daycare attendance and I was the only one having a problem...I hope it gets fixed today before the holiday break. Meanwhile, I am back doing attendance and menu on paper...check in kids and mark who ate. What a pain and it all ties in to money, so pretty important.

Ugh. Sorry to be on a negative note.
Hope you get to see those lights, Karlinann.
Everyone who is typing now, have a great day and all who follow, you, too!

            Good morning, everyone. ☕️

Well, today is my PT day. I plan to make a point of asking for a lighter set of exercises today, due to the way I have been feeling lately. It’s my last session with these PT people. Actually, I could set up a schedule for next year if I wanted to, but trying to get organized and ready to move gets more difficult when I lose another day to these appointments. We don’t actually have a date for moving yet, but E hasn’t been energetic lately, and besides he has to drive me around for these appointments.

Yesterday he did a bit of grocery shopping for me....he came back with unfrosted Christmas tree cookies. Actually they were sprinkled with red and green sugars before they were baked. So, not so sweet, and absolutely delicious! My new favorites. It’s not a soft cookie, but it doesn’t matter to me.

Karlinann, I will SO keep that in mind. But I don’t want to go back to that particular heart doctor. He’s old enough to retire, as is his main nurse...his younger nurses are pretty ditsy. I just don’t like it there. However, when we get to Phoenix, there is also a Mayo hospital nearby. I will check with their doctors about this problem.

            Happy baking, Maxie.

Paula, it seems you have become the family funeral director. I understand your reluctant feelings, but it is good of you to help out when the rest of the family find it hard to keep their thoughts straight, in their sorrow.

I adore fried chicken, too, but I cannot fry it properly. The fast chicken take outs are pretty greasy. The grocery store does packs of fried chicken, but often it’s full of garlic and other spices, which I detest. I’ve never tried the baked “fried” chicken though. It’s probably the way to go, at least for my tastes.

After extensive work on the microwave, E pronounced it a hopeless case. I will just get a new one after we move. I will probably have to give up the chest freezer I have. Haven’t decided about my sewing machine....my wedding gift from E, which still works great today. *sigh*

And thats all thats going on here today.
Hope you all have a great day. ☀️

I am not a fried chicken fan and have not fried it in years. It used to be the only thing my dad wanted for Sunday dinner and he burned me out! And how many years ago was that? Sierra just called and is working a double today since they have so many call offs. I know there is sickness going around and a lot of it but I also know Christmas is coming and these kids have no work ethic. For all her faults and poor judgement she has a strong work ethic. I am going to text Jon and see if he will help after work to get this crap done. Since it has now become a job I do not want to do it!!

Paula your negative notes are less than my getting out of bed in the morning gripes! It is so nice the family can count on you to take over and handle trying things. Your daughter seems to have the same aptitude which shows you do lead by example. Beth have a good weekend with your parents back home. Jo, I saved and hauled way to much when I moved...if you haven;t used it in a while then pitch it although i did bring my sewing machine and I do not know why since it does not sew a straight line...it sews like I walk...hummmm...coincidence?

Ok just need to interject my two cents and am off again to change out laundry and mix up the dough.

I gave away my sewing machine about 20 years ago when we moved here. I felt guilty looking at it and gave it to a friend who sewed and needed a machine.
my daycare computer mess up finally got fixed. And it was t my fault. Somehow they had closed my account! Crazy! But it looks good now and my local agency people know why the daycare providers are so negative about this program!
we used to do it by hand and turn all papers in at the end of the month so this is better for all... when it works!

My kids say I am just old but I like paper. I understand paper and I can find what I want in my paper mess! I still write checks out of my old fashioned checkbook. New is not easy and I envy people my age who have evolved...but I still like paper!

I found out about my neighbor. He was taken to the ER and it was due to high blood pressure. He spent the night in ER and is supposed to be coming home this afternoon. One of the other neighbors called him and he told him that he didn't even remember the Fire & Rescue coming and taking him to the ER. I guess he and his wife have the phones that can unlock your door and she must have called 911 from her work. Maybe he was talking to her on the phone when it happened. I don't know, but in this case that phone unlocking the door is very smart.

I transplanted stuff again today and I also sorted my seeds and labeled them. I sowed some Fennel seeds into the garden. I planted my Eucalyptus in the ground and my 2 tomato plants in the ground too. One has little green tomatoes on it. Yes, they may get frost bite, but they needed to go in the ground.

I'm making Meatloaf for dinner. DH loves it. I make it in the microwave.

I have a huge eucalyptus tree in the back. When I took floral arranging I used it as filler in some projects and my instructor told me he would give me extra credit if I would bring some in for everyone!

                    Good evening

ah another long day of ?????.... ran sweeper and clean the downstairs area , free of cobwebs and dust.. and neat again,,,, have not heard from
grandson Kiel. whether he is driving up for C. or not.. but "his" space is clean and tidy... just in case... have organized all the food items I will need to cook on sunday and Monday for the C. eve family get together at Karens.. and my gift list is completed... a little of wrapping to do yet..
I like to get organized, even if it just on paper... I NEED A PLAN..... then I can quit fussing about.

David is no help.. he talks a good game but doesn't really move around to help... makes a good foreman. ..

I went to local Dollar store.. bought tissue paper and one roll of printed wrapping paper... paid for them. walked out leaving the wrapping paper behind... Don't thing the clerk put it in a bag.. cost $1 and I sure not driving back for a dollar.. would almost cost that much in gasoline... but sure was irratated.
it seems every day There is one mistake in whatever I try to do... Bought oysters for the stew, but forgot the oyster crackers.. dumb little stuff that annoys...

hey Paula, will match you negative feeling for negative feeling... ... i feel most UN-Christmasy... I love what C. Means... the birth of the Savior. but I am so tired of the commercialism.. the buying, the shopping. the hard selling commercials.. pushing Santa Claus .... instead of the baby in the Manger.
....... will try to get my C. SPIRIT working here....

                    see you all later
