Morning! Running though this morning heading out for a doctors appointment. I can't think of anything to say right now so will be back later.

Good morning.

We are supposed to get rain today....a 50% chance of it, so we should be getting some of it. We can use it, because much of the time it’s a light rain. This is not the time of year we usually get rain, but I won’t complain because we need it.

No particular plans for today.

Yesterday was my doctor day. I posted about it yesterday afternoon. Bottom line, all is well. Maxie, hope all goes well at your appointment today.

Good Morning!

Well....Blaise has the flu and there is nothing we can do but ride it out. Day 8 and could last up to 2 weeks. Thank goodness it's a slow time.

Spent the morning yesterday doctoring and then picking up a quick bite to eat. Worked on the letters for my customers and made a big pot of chicken & rice soup.

I told Sue this morning that one of us is rubbing off on the other. It seems like it's always something breaking or going wrong. Cork got called by our mechanic to bring his car in for a needed repair. We were just waiting until he had an opening in his schedule. Well while Cork was loading his crap from his car into the old Escape, the one window hinge broke. So he had to end up using my Escape for work today. He called Gary, and he's ordering a new hinge for the old Escape. So unless it's an absolute emergency, I'm going no where today or until the old Escape gets fixed. Which means I can't go to the post office to get more stamps for the letters. Cork was going to mail the ones I did have stamps for when he was going to work this morning at o' dark hundred.

Had a nice chat with Paula while I was cooking dinner.

This morning I'm going to try to get bills paid, then work on addressing letters to new customers I added on this past year. I had the other envelopes already addressed. I did that back in January right after last season wrapped up. My SIL might be stopping by and we are going to exchange soups. She made cheesy potato and we are giving each other some of our soups. I'm so blessed to have such a great SIL.

Hope all goes well Maxie! I sure miss Elaine....well everyone else that haven't been posting.....Sharooooooooon! Where are you! So glad you've come back Jostoy!

From pictures on Facebook I know Sharon has been visiting family and I think should be back soon..

I am pulling out the ingredients for pumpkin spice cookies. They are for a meeting Thursday evening and since tonight and tomorrow are Becky's late at school nights I can get them mixed up and in the refrigerator and then baked tomorrow.

I am slowly getting clothes put together in a banker's box (the lengths I go to keep my dog from getting stressed too early!) so I can check things off the travel list. Make up and Rx are set aside.

Today is Spencer's birthday. He is 44! Wow! He said he has a huge presentation today with all the Big Wigs: his words. I said Welcome to real adulthood...working on your birthday. They celebrated it as a family on Sunday and we will celebrate again this Saturday when I am there.

I had a great time chatting with Donna!
I have to mail Halloween cards today. And need to buy more stamps, too. If they are going to raise the price I wish they would raise the quality of the color and brighten up that flag..that is why I am not buying a roll like my mother is: I always like to buy pretty ones or different in some way for the personal mail and cards I send.

Good morning everyone.

Cookie, I never left-left, but was very busy. First being in F.W. and looking for a house to buy. My sister-in-law and I were gone every day. If we weren't on the "road", I was on the computer looking up houses that we had seen to see if I wanted to look at them in person.

JoG, did E. get in to see his surgeon yet?

Haven't talked to Sharon yet, but I think she should be back from vacation. BUT I could be wrong.

Today is a "lazy" day for me. My back has been hurting a lot, and falling twice didn't help it at all. Don't see the spine specialist until the end of Nov. Have been using the hemp oil to ease the pain a little.

Well that's about it for me. Except...to hope Maxie had a good Dr. appt.

Jo, no he hasn’t seen his surgeon yet. He did leave a message for her, though, and he is waiting to hear back from her.
Meanwhile, he is dealing with the pain pretty well so far. He does what he can, though. He hates feeling useless. And he is very careful with that arm not to aggravate it while he is doing stuff. Sometimes I have to speak strongly to him to not try to do so much, and to lease leave me alone to do things I need to do......I will ask for his help if I really need to.
Its kind of funny, though. We are two older people, slowed down by years and circumstances, doing what we can to make up for each other’s shortcomings. Sometimes it feels like we are living a comedy sitcom.

I am home..took a lot longer but was actually in and out at the doctor. Pulled in to get gas and the check engine light came on so drove to the dealer and they checked that out but, of course, you have to wait. The doctor gave me two more weeks of antibiotics and then will cut the spot out. Hard to believe that a shaving nick could have caused all this. And can you believe I shaved my leg to see him this morning? Some habits are hard to break!

Sorry Blaise has the flu so early in the season. I know they have been pushing the shots. I got mine early and Sierra has hers but Jon's work is not set for their clinic until the end of the month. Hope E hears from the doctor soon and gets some relief. Jostoy two falls cannot be good! Has the hemp oil helped? Paula hope the vertigo lets up soon. Listen to us like an bunch of old people!

Andrew has early dismissal today and I am way behind in my chores. Dropped the scribt off and will meet the bus then the kid and I will pick it up. Maybe he can pick up a frozen pizza or something...I think I am in the mood for something sweet. Last night Andrew dragged me out to watch his remote car run in the dark. It had all kinds of lights and is really fast. He got that for Christmas last year and is just now appreciating it? Anyway, we had a show in the dark and it got darn cold out there.

Once Andrew gets home the day is over for me so not much time left. I still need to get to Penney's and return the shirts I bought him. He has graduated to men's sized shoes and now looks like his shirt size has jumped. Wish he would go with me but shopping is not his thing. He has a personal shopper...ME!

Yes, Maxie the hemp oil does help. I cannot take ANY kind of pain pills. Since my gastric surgery, all pain pills put me on cloud nine. That includes regular Tylenol. Since I'm afraid of heights, no pain pills in my tummy.
