    Good morning all.

Today we start the "down-hill" of January. Sure glad my life is passing by so fast....NOT !!
Still a lot of things I'd like to see or do, but with time passing so fast in front of us, who knows if I get to complete my "bucket list".

Tomorrow is a trip to the blood suckers, 8 vials taken to get my annual blood work. I always ask them if they have my type of blood on hand so I can get a transfusion if needed after they drain me of my own blood. After that it's on to the spine specialist.

Very airish out there today. -3 with wind chill of -23. Think I'll stay in again today. Yesterday only my arm got outside to get my mail and the paper. My nose stayed in the house.

Everyone in the polar air, stay in by the fires.

"Life" is a gift to you. The way you live your life is your gift to those who come after. Make it a fantastic one.

We have the same temps here jostoy. School cancelled because of the cold and slick back roads. So this is yet another day I do not have to cook. One good thing of all this miserable winter weather! Scott is in Sikeston MO and last night they received 7 inches of snow on a 1 to 3 forecast and I am so glad it is him shoveling. Then this morning I hear my brother in San Antonio is in a winter weather warning. Mother Nature is sure getting her revenge this winter!!

Had a good visit with the cardiologist yesterday and was happy to hear I had not had a heart attack or have heart damage...I do have an abnormal ekg and they are going to do a nuclear stress test and a echo something. I did like the guy, he was young and friendly and when he ask a question he listened to the answer and he had a sense of humor. Plus I was in and out! We then met up with Sierra and her boy friend for Mexican. We are still not a huge fan of this boy but they have been together for a year so I am guessing he is not going anywhere. Jon behaved himself and waited until we were in the car to do his eye rolling. Mommy dearest texted while we were in the restaurant and wanted to know why Sierra will not go up to visit her. Jon showed us the text then we laughed about possible replies. How did she know we were all together? Strange timing.

Classes start today for Sierra and it is her long day, naturally. Andrew has no school so I do not have to cook but think I will make some pancakes or something. It is just so cold and she will be home late afternoon before evening class so I should put some fuel in her body. I would eat a lot more and a lot better if someone would cook and put it in front of me.

I have not had a haircut since December 12 and I look horrible. This cold weather is keeping me in but I now need a stocking hat to cover this mop! Guess I will call today and hope to get in quickly...have another dr appointment Thursday. Still have not been released from the surgeon because of my voice but that has cleared in the last week. Hopefully this will be the last time I see him and if I do not get a haircut soon he will be glad to not have me in his waiting room!!

Started laundry but did not finish yesterday so will add to it and maybe even change my bed. But whatever I need to get up and moving. Stay warm and watch those flu bugs!!

      Good morning.
Today should be a bit cloudy, but temps bouncing in the 70’s til this coming weekend when we will see the temps bouncing in the 50’s & 60’s for a while. 🏜

E’s doc told him that his arm is probably as good as it’s going to get. That shoulder bone won’t slip into its socket, though. She wants to see him in 3 months, and they will discuss the other surgery. Well......that’s the surgery that can quickly kill a person in his age bracket. He’d be sitting up for it, and when the anesthesia is administered it quickly affects the heart rate, and in an instant he’d be dead. He doesn’t plan on that surgery. He says that he has limited use of that arm, but he can do all the things he needs it to do. Some things will take longer. She did suggest another modification to his exercise, and it helps him.

Today E is 81. He doesn’t want any fuss, and we probably won’t be doing anything special. Maybe a quick trip to the See’s Candy store, for his very favorite chocolates.
He did ask the neighbors son (already graduated and a nice young man now) if he’d come over today and operate the leaf vac for us. Too heavy for me to deal with, and E can’t with his bad arm. The pistach tree in front is really dropping leaves now. (The elms in the backyard are already bare.) I want some large rocks moved, as well. E can’t do that with his bad arm.

I cooked up a package of filet steaks yesterday. I am thinking of dicing the leftovers and making stir-fry tonight.

Other than that, I’ll just be doing whatever else calls for doing today.

Hope you’re all doing well. Stay warm. Be happy! 🤗

Good morning....I am off today...slept in...leaving in a bit to go get a crown put on...not excited...but it will be ok..mom says there is no drilling and I should be fine..After that hopefully fingers crossed groceries...and then I have a hair cut this afternoon...like Maxie my last hair cut was late November early Decemember and I have had to reschedule 4 times..

Not sure what is on the supper menu I am thinking a hambergur and fries or a chicken/peppers/cheese quasadilla or tacos.

Daddy seems to be improving daily.

Good Morning! It's absolutely gorgeous out there. Beautiful snow, a plowed driveway, no wind, and temp not too bad.

Yesterday was a bit frustrating with the lil man. He was trying my patients to the very end. We did go in town to McD's for lunch...his choice...then to Giant Eagle to pick up sale items that I had coupons to go along with them. Stocked up on cereals for a while again. Can't say that I accomplished a whole lot. I did find my dining room table again & put a table cloth on it.

Bad news....Corky got a call from the place he interviewed at twice in the past few weeks, and didn't get the job. Very disappointing. Kim, who we go to church with, was so sure he was getting in. She works for one of the men that interviewed Cork and they had good things to say about him. We just keep clinging to God having a better plan.

This morning there was a 2 hr delay. WILL THESE KIDS EVER HAVE A FULL WEEK OF SCHOOL???? I've got the last load of laundry in. I swear I had it all caught up just the other day. It's never ending. Aunt Janet/Maye might be coming over a little later to scoop grease & chat. Think I might mix up some cookie dough and bake a few dozen choc chip cookies for the guys next door. They plowed our driveway, which is very nice. Might make some homemade hot choc to go with the cookies. Have to keep those guys fed & happy.

Sunday when we stopped at Giant Eagle to get their sale items (was only a 4 day sale), and I picked up 3 shoulder roasts @ $2.79/lb. I think I'll roast one of them for dinner tonight.

Have a good one all! Stay warm.

Well it's still morning, we too are in the deep freeze but at least no snow accumulation for a bit. Did get out last evening to watch grandson play basketball, wish I could capture the determined look on his face when he is on the court, you can tell he is putting his all into it.
