Good Morning another chilly wet one here.. I'm the only one up coffee is done. Elaine my Mom taught both my brothers to cook, told them it impressed the girls and she didn't want to worry about them starving. Son-in-law is also a good cook

Good morning everyone.

Have been very busy around here. Tryiong to get things done between rains. Next week I'll be going over to the Lake for at least 4 days I hope. Want to meet with a carpenter to give me an estimate on a 10x14 deck. Want a ramp going up on it as well as I don't do steps very well anymore.

Went to my spine specialist and we talked about the new surgery for spinal stenosis. Just hope that he doesn't call me before I get my vacation in at the end of June. He says it will take about a week for re-coop. I already have my plane ticket paid for to meet the family in Florida. I didn't buy insurance, so I have to go. So that is another reason that I've been busy trying to get things done around here.

Well the "tater wagon" is rolling, so I better get off the computer.

Rain overnight, which is good. We are heating up here in Texas, and that means dry thirsty ground.

My doormats came, and I have them all in place. Now I really need to wash the front porch down, including the ceiling, but that will be a challenge.

Paula, I saw Beckie's photo on FB. So so cute. Congratulations to her (and to her momma)!

A sunny day ahead, and 91° today. 🌵 The winds have turned into breezes, so that's not so bad. Knock on wood.
I couldn't get a haircut appointment. My hairdresser is all booked up, and she'll be gone for the holiday. Our anniversary is on the holiday weekend, more or less, and we'll be out of town, too. Guess I'll have to make do.

Well, nothing new happening here this weekend. Maybe get some laundry done.

Yesterday I made a huge tuna-mac salad. Perfect for the hot-weather days. (Tomorrow starts the high-90's days. Again.)
A bowl of that alone was supper last evening.

Good Morning, breakfast is over and kitchen all cleaned up, buttermilk pancakes, sausage and bacon...it was delicious...

Now after I get my bed made, get dressed I plan on heading out to the big garage and get my flower pots made and my hanging baskets brackets put up...so I will be playing in potting soil this morning...its a chilly morning here again, wind is blowing also...
Finally got my lab draw schedules in the mail from MI, this medicine must be wicked, LOL...but I guess my bottom half is such a mess with inside fistulas that are doing their thing inside but just haven't made it outside yet....and it would seem I have built a resistance to the Remicade...dang perirectal crohns is nasty stuff...
But I have been blessed for over a year now with it being somewhat in remission for me, so I try and enjoy every day I can while it is being 'calm'.
jostoy, I sure hope that they can work around your vacation plans, and that deck will be a good size deck for sure, a ramp is a great idea...

Well time to get my day started with getting dressed, making our bed, take my meds then get out the door...
Oh Yes, went to a moving sale yesterday of a friend and bought what is called a lawyers bookcase, it has 4 shelves inside with wood framed glass doors that lift up and slide in, well bought it because hubby had so much 'stuff' from all of his years of working at Marathon Oil Company, all of his 'stuff' fit in and it looks so nice...he felt pretty proud, it is in our bedroom...with his 25 and 30 yr. awards sitting on top in frames..

Well another dandy storm went through this morning...just rolled over again and when I woke it was to late for the morning weather update. Have no idea what the weather is for today. Enjoyed sister and nieces' visit yesterday. We patio sat until a cold front came through and ran us inside. Got chilly fast! They stayed until almost 6:00 then Andrew's mother picked him up early and Sierra was working. Jon came inside at 6:30 and said he was calling it a day and we retired to our respective areas to channel surf the rest of the night. Watched the Cards for a while but must have napped since I do not know if they won. Guess today I will do some laundry. Scott is coming in today but I have no idea of time...he will stay over tonight and has a reception tomorrow that he will go home straight from. Today is the first day of summer vacation and it is cloudy, rainy and cold....hope this is not an omen for the rest of summer!!

We are still smiling from yesterday! A couple of her friends said later they wished they had walked in the graduation, but since they completed all their courses last December like Becky they didn't think it would make that much of a difference. You can see by the smiles in the pictures it sure did! My mom and I were sitting a long time on bleacher benches (I thought of you, Maye!) and are already making plans for the graduation from CSU in 1 1/2 years. So many people filing in to see someone graduate. It was really a diverse crowd, All income levels and backgrounds, but all there to celebrate someone's accomplishment.
There was a young woman with her guide dog. The dog had a cap on that she had the words It was Ruff...I asked if I could get their photo and she said yes. As I said, we are both still smiling!
Today I have some dog beds to take to a pet shelter fundraiser and general cleaning and then we are going to a new ice cream shop in another town, Anderson. We have been eating out a lot and Becky just wants to get ice cream..fine by me!
Sunny here and going up to the 100's by tomorrow. It was 90* when we left for the ceremony and was hot enough sitting there until the sun finally got a little lower. My cute top was not cool enough. But it looks good in the pictures!
I am going to try the pool this afternoon....
there are two pet shelter fundraisers and I may go to the other one, also. They are having a vaccination clinic with rattlesnake vaccine! I was shocked to hear that my friend, Barbara, that I talk aabout a lot here, has had them up on her patio!!! They are taking their two dogs down. I have fostered a little dog fromthis shelter and just want to go and support them.
Ok, I better get going. Hope we all get done what we need and get in some good rest and recreation, too!
