  • Wednesday.. 27... Hello!

    and Good Morning ....

    lets get to posting. !

this is the week of being on the road... yesterday was hearing exam,, and voting!....
today is Mammogram ,,,plus a few store stops afterwards... need a re-stop at the Pharmacy,, pills and more pills.

the hearing test showed I do have hearing loss in both ears....Like that was NOT news.. but the price of the hearing aids.... will let me live that way for a bit longer... .... will just tell the mumbles to speak up. ... amazed at how little attention is given to hearing and dentures in the social security package..

ok better get showered and moving here... be back to read. Have a great day..

Good morning...volunteering this morning until noon...trying out a different day..also taking a regular taxi for the first time in my life...wanted to do it while my parents are here just incase some should happen...my parents will pick me up at noon....and then we will have lunch out with my sister and her girls and I think that my parents will head home after that...I am sad to see them leave...but they will be back and I have busy rest of the week...something each day through Sunday...

Yesterday was another good day for all of us despite the horrible storm....it was strong enough that it woke me from a nap and I was asleep in my basement bedroom with the door shut. We went to my sisters last night for a very very yummy supper..it was an egg dish with eggs broccoli and cheese and garlic powder....our sides were a bake sweet potato and roasted asparagus. One thing I can say is I have eat far to much food while mom and dad have been here I have gained 5 pounds atleast..

Well I better get a shower and get my cab called.

Good Morning to you and happy trail blazing week to you...

Yes I have some hearing loss from my meinere's disease and it does seem that some people do mumble, certain tones I just do not hear well..guess I will find out soon enough about social security.

No big plans for me, just trying to stay healthy enough to get my treatment tomorrow morning..hope we hear how jostoy's appt. went yesterday, she sure gives that back of hers a rough way to go.

JoG, hope each day gets a little easier for you..
Maxie live in your world the way you want to, stay out of the darn closet, LOL...don't you wish if you didn't feel like cooking you just don't? Let others figure it out for themselves, LOL...but we are who we are, we always think of everyone else..so did the steps get done properly, happy with the work?

Time to read the news, finish my coffee and do something constructive today...Have a great day one and all...hope no one is getting storms today...Elaine how is John doing?

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

Good Morning! The sun peeked out very briefly and now the clouds have taken over....bummer! Yesterday the sun was out & very pretty.

Yesterday was an emotion roller coaster again, but I had a very kind Rounder friend let me cry on her shoulder...hard...and I felt SO MUCH better. I had more reason to cry when the police called looking for Kathy to get her statement on what REALLY happened. We talked for 20 minutes. He was VERY kind to me and tried to reassure me that NOTHING was going to happen to us but Kathy might be a different story. It's very possible Jimmy was driving and he has no drivers license. My heart dropped into my stomach, but I got through it. Hung up and looked at the clock....OH MY WORD>>>>BLAISE!!!! I forgot to go out for the bus. I grabbed my phone & the phone book & ran out to the bus stop. Thank the Lord, the bus was running late by about 7 minutes and I didn't miss him. God is good!

I worked on paperwork most of the day...bills, bank statements, insurance company. I had 3 different letters and an email from The Market Place all saying different things. Screwed up! Good news though, we still have insurance and I don't have to send in anymore information. Talk about adding to my stress. My desk looks much neater and I feel so much more in control. Got Becca's vehicle picked up with all new brakes and rotters. Cost quite a bit less than the brake job we did on Kathy's car the week before that went all to h*** on Sunday when she totaled her car. We are going to take the Escape back to her on Sunday when we TRY to visit her. Went to vote. Kathy needed her pain med rx picked up & paid for. Fortunately their computers were down all day, so they were selling the rx's for a very reduced rate, so it only cost me $10 rather than $20...blessings. Got it delivered to her & didn't even ask when she was coming home...don't care. Came home and snuggled with Blaisey and ate ice cream....life is good.

This morning I'm going to Aldi's...love grocery shopping! Come home and do laundry and sweep. Goal...get Blaise's room picked up and mopped.

        Have a good one all!

Cookie for your sake and sanity I think it is time you just hand everything to do with Kathy over to Cork...she knows she can get to you, don't think that would work with Cork, at some point she has to know that you are not going to take care of her...she is ungrateful, uncaring, it is all about her...she has never had to live in a shelter yet so she hasn't hit bottom...time for some really tough love...and God knows you could sure use a break from her...Love you, praying for you and the family...

Good Morning, no idea what we will be doing today.

Aunt Maye, Robin Williams had a skit about what Medicare will and will not pay for (things have changed a bit since he did it) but what was covered and not covered was just stupid. At that time they would cover Viagra but not eye glasses. You would think that the Dr.s would be pushing for them to cover the glasses and dentures and hearing aides more. The one hearing aide company is claiming that hearing loss contributes to dementia. The dentist was pushing me on dentures since being diabetic, the not being able to eat somethings puts me at risk. Told her that in that case she needs to argue with the insurance company.

Donna hope you got your insurance straightened out. Thankfully I got someone who actually paid attention when I talked to her and helped out instead of reading the pat answers off the sheet. Now just have to wait for my new card to get here.

Nice storm yesterday but not severe like other areas around us. More predicted for today but not tomorrow. Saw the doctor yesterday and he thinks I have a cyst behind my knee cap. We are going to wait two weeks to see if it goes away and if not I will get a scan. If it swells more I am to call and use the scan order he gave me. Cookie, I am so sorry for the stress you are going through. You must have a constant lump in your stomach. Last night my piglets ate like there was no tomorrow and tonight it will be scrambled eggs and tomorrow Sierra and I are leaving after her last class for the mall so we will eat out and the boys can eat whatever. A hot dog seems to appease them. Have laundry but that is all I have planned for today. Now that I have a reason for a sore leg I an going to sit and relax it. Before I kept going trying to think it wasn't sore. New step is in and very nice. Plants are all alive and some blooming. Hope it is going to be a hot summer!!

Oh Maxie, sure hope that if it gets to bad they will get it taken care of, that can get pretty darn painful.

          Good morning everyone.
This morning I have an appointment with my substitute-PCP. No big thing.
First I have to take care of my little nosebleed that came out of nowhere.

Cookie, I'm sorry for what you're going through. I wish I had some answers to offer you. But what the others have said are worth consideration.

Well, gotta go. It takes me longer to get ready these days. Will be glad when life here is normal again.

          Have a great day! 💐

Oh, Donna! I am so sorry, too. If someone else can deal with Kathy for you to get a break, I hope you let them. What would you tell one of us to do if we were going through your situation? Write that down and tape it up where you will see it. You have tried so many times and given so many chances. Tough love was something that always sounded harsh to me, until I understood what " enabler" meant and realized I had enabled enough and given enough chances and nothing had changed except my bank account and my life. When I drew a line and made myself accountable to live within my standards and require that of others, my life got better. It is so much better that I have forgiven, made peace, but have not relaxed any of the rules I need for order in my life.
Love you and hope you can move forward, no matter how long Kathy takes to make the choice to change her life for herself.

              Aloha all!

Donna, so sorry about all that is happening to you. I agree with Boffler to let Cork handle her as you are taking care of everything else in the family. Well maybe not taking care of fixing cars. You are the glue that hold the family together. Come to think of it Moms and wives are usually the glue that holds families together. Take care and we are here for you.

Nice day out. Went for a walk around the building a bit ago and it is muggy. Will have to turn the air conditioner on in a bit. Much rather have open windows and fresh air but it does get a bit un bearable in the afternoons.

              Have a good day all!
