Tuesday, April 12 ~ National Grilled Cheese Day!

Good Morning!

Did not get here yesterday. Left at 6a for an 8 o'clock apt. Rained coming and going. Then last night parts of DWTS were interrupted by TV station because of nearby tornado warnings. "Geeeez!"

Radar clear this am. Yes, we are having grilled cheese today, although John is not fond. But I love grilled cheese and he always goes along.

Morning all

Never got to check in yesterday - arrived at work to find our network was completely down. They didn't have it repaired until after I had left for the day.

We had a GREAT weekend - we didn't get to go to Bellingrath Gardens, but I did manage to win a bit at the casino - enough to pay for gas/food for the entire trip. The concert was blah - more Chris's type of music than I like. It was a badly needed getaway.

Back to reality now. At least we have internet - and that's good because our reservation system is ON the internet!

So I'm gonna have some coffee and play catch-up.

Good SUNNY Morning! It's suppose to be sunny the rest of the week and keep getting warm every day.

Yesterday was OK. Didn't accomplish a lot but enough. Got the pie & cake delivered by lunchtime to the restaurant. Oh...Blaise & I did run errands in Saxonburg...bank, library, DG, grocery store.

Not sure what today will bring. Planning on going to the other bank & Aldi's this morning. Thought my SIL, Mom, & I were going curtain shopping for my Mom, but my SIL has to make a bunch of calls to doctors for my niece and take her for lab work. Maybe we'll go Thursday.

Sun is out and shining brightly. No rain in the long range forecast. Will be warming up as the week goes on. Life is good. Maybe it will be safe now for the guys to get my 2 tomato plants bought and planted! LOL

Good Morning ..

will need a lot of catch up little breaks today... read until midnight.. sound asleep and then the noise began.. David was up at 3:30am ,,turn TV on . ..had on some talk type ,(probably a re-broadcast) of 3-4 commentators rehashing political opinions.. it was loud enough to wake me.. I finally got up . he switched to some comedy show.. , just as loud...so I read some more... .gave up hope of getting more sleep.. do dressed , and did dishes. started load of laundry. made bed. put stuff away.. hey, Sun is shining .. no rain.. so all is well with the world..

DWTSs. went real well.. the person I wanted to leave , did .. Paula, Elaine, do you guys Vote?....I have three phones and I call in my votes on all three of them... I already have my favorites picked out.. wish they would have stayed with just 3 judges thought,,,

Donna hope you get your Mom out shopping for curtains. when you make plans for us "old" ladies. we get cranky if you don't get around to doing it..
Yes, I am talking about my daughter.. I know she is sooo so busy .. ( ready for this pity Party?) ,, but she could make time for her Old Mother ,,my days are going by so fast... etc etc....( ok, sick of the pity party yet?...) ...

Hi Justy..2 tomato plants.... you just gave me a great idea. for my flower bed.!... the upper end will have tomatoes!... sometime in Aug.

only one lesson tonight . the youngest ,a boy.. and I feel so bad for him... he comes in so tired. for lesson.. his parents got him to sign in for soccer at school.
he's not crazy about sports. but they thought he needed the exercise and also to learn how it feels not to be good at something.... he is super intelligent about math. and reading . all A student. but the soccer.. is killing the time he could can/does spend on piano.. he was just beginning to get good .
I will have to come up with a new time slot for him ...umm..

time to take laundry out . switch to dryer.. quick trip to library this forenoon. have a good one.

Sunny morning but the furnace is on so there goes the thought of natural warmth. Yesterday we had our pot of chili and when I was putting the leftovers in the fridge I dropped the bowl. OMG! What a mess..for some reason the lid flew off and chili flew everywhere. Thank goodness my son came in and cleaned up the mess...even had to take the grill off the fridge. So today I will mop the kitchen and wipe down the cabs. The only comments I heard were Jon and Andrew saying they were looking forward to leftovers. Especially since they went out in the cold and set up the new fire pit. It looks spectacular! We need to haul in some rock to put around it and if the weather ever warms I can plant out back. Finally the vacuum was brought up so I will run that through the house today and also the pile of laundry grows. Sierra coming for supper so need to fix something nice like a roast with potatoes cooked along side. Or mashed potatoes, whatever. Drew has ask for corn bread but Sierra doesn't like it and prefers rolls. Maybe whoever comes in with the best mood will get their bread choice. I have a busy day and we are out of milk so need to make a run to the grocery. I know cookie enjoys shopping but I just drop a bunch of money on food that magically disappears. Last night I went in looking for something to nibble on and nothing! Need to make a hair appointment today so better get moving. Busy day! And boy are the Cardinals finally hot!! Hockey playoffs start tomorrow.

Good morning, all. Warm and cloudy again today, rain possible Thur. and then sunny the rest of the week.

Still want to make my Lazy Daisy cake. First cake I learned to make when I was about 10 and still a favorite. If I do get it done most of it will go to the coffee get together tomorrow.

Didn't get anything done yesterday because my back was acting up. Feels better now.

All the gardening going on makes me want to plant things. I may get myself a patio tomato. Couldn't find any thyme plants when we last shopped. Mine gave up the ghost last fall.

Good afternoon.
I was already awake at 4 this morning when the rain hit, and it was a good one. When the sun came up, everything was still wet. Nice!

Went to my chemo class this morning. E & I were the only ones there. Got a lot of materials, several books by the National Cancer Institute, a binder of notes & handy stuff stuff, all in a sturdy tote bag. I also got a go-ahead (from all the doctors & nurses) to eat anything and everything I want to, even junk food, to build up my body for the ordeal ahead.

But the night is already catching up with me.... I'm nodding off
